  1. Normally at this stage in the season - with playoff hopes and seedings on the line - games reach playoff intensity with lots of physicality and hard hits. No one knows if what happened to Damar is going to dampen some of that "hit 'em hard, make 'em pay" mentality or not. Not only on the Bills, but other teams as well. I could see the Patriots trying to hammer us with the run game early to see how tough the Bills will be. Even if it takes us a bit to get going full force, I think we will prevail.
  2. Sorry, I misinterpreted your post (thx Taro), thought you were talking about him playing... You meant leading the charge - someone mentioned maybe they'd have him address the fans from his hospital room - whether live or pre-recorded that would be cool.
  3. I'm not sure if you're joking or not. Seriously, we should just be really glad with the progress he's making without speculating about his future playing football. It's way too early for that.
  4. I do think they need to modify the situation so that if any 2 of the 3 teams that could have qualified for the 1 seed (had the game been played) end up playing each other in the AFCG, it will be at a neutral site. They left out a potential Bills Bengals AFCG game when they talked about scenarios qualifying for a neutral site. The fact is it was possible that the Bengals might have beaten the Bills and ended up seeded higher (due to head to head), so it does not seem fair that the Bills could still get a home field AFCG against them. Nothing is perfectly fair, but that would be more fair.
  5. I don't think they could have said teams that played an unequal number of games OR had a chance at the one seed. Because if they remove the AND, the OR opens neutral site for AFCG not only for those that had a chance at the one seed, but for everyone else that might end up playing either the Bills or Bengals in that game - because they'd qualify solely on the basis of the first clause (played an unequal number of games). They only want the neutral site AFCG situation to apply for Bills, Chiefs, Bengals because they are the only ones that had a chance at the one seed. If they are playing anyone else in the AFCG it would not be at a neutral site. Still they should have some wording in there for the (unlikely) scenario that the Bills play the Bengals in the AFCG. It would seem fair for that to be at a neutral site too, even though they did not play an unequal number of games. Perhaps they could have said that if the AFCG is between teams that both had a chance at the one seed, they should play at a neutral site. That way they could leave the "unequal games" part out of it.
  6. I hadn't thought that part through properly - thanks. So basically only KC or the Bills can be one seed, and get the bye. KC get it with a win this weekend, and only way we can get it is if KC loses and we win. That does have to be painful for the Bengals - they might well have beaten us and if they had and KC lost, they'd be one seed, now they have no chance. Admittedly, our chances at the one seed went from fair to slim, and the Bengals chances went from slim to none.
  7. Correction to last part. If KC loses and Bills lose, and Bengals win, Bengals get the bye.
  8. KC if they win. Period. If KC loses and Bills win, Bills. If KC loses and Bengals win, Bengals. I think I got that right.
  9. Since I live in Atlanta, I'd plan to be there cheering on our Bills.
  10. Raiders might win - if the NFL / ref's will it to be so 😁
  11. I don't think so. Only the 1 seed gets the bye, and Bills will only be 1 seed if they beat NE AND the Raiders beat KC. If KC wins they will be the # 1 seed and get the bye.
  12. Thanks, but not here in Atlanta, no 4 pm game on Fox. Just Packers on CBS.
  13. I wish they would switch over to the Niner's Raiders game, the Packer's Vikings game was over a while ago.
  14. Why is that screwing us? We play Monday, and playing on Sunday night would give us a bit more rest time.

  16. We can argue about who's the best team in the NFL all we want, but the only thing that matters from here on it is which team goes undefeated in the post-season. Winning it all makes all the other arguments a moot point.
  17. It seems the other teams in the AFC East are getting closer to Buffalo and we are going to have a very competitive division for years to come. Which is why I really want us to secure the bye and win the SB this year. IF the East gets more competitive in the future it will be even harder to get the one seed and the bye. Of course you can still get to the big game and win it without the one seed, but it gets tougher. The time to strike is now.
  18. Congrats to the Bills! Last week secured the playoff spot, this week secured the Eastern Division title. One week at a time boys - keep on truckin next week!!!
  19. The wind with your or against you thing can be dealt with to a degree, but sometimes the winds are cross winds or swirling winds. Those can be a lot harder to try to compensate for. At any rate - I just hope the Bills commit to making hard hits and low tackles on runners in this cold. If they do I think they'll win.
  20. I would normally agree, but in 20-40 mph winds, throwing deep is a bad idea. No telling where the ball goes - could be right into the hands of a defender. You lose precision, and that worsens on the longer throws.
  21. I could be wrong but with the anticipated winds I doubt that the passing game, or ability to get sacks, is going to matter much. When the wind-chill gets this cold, I think it's less about talent, game plan, or coaching, and more about whose team has players willing to play with intensity despite the bone chilling, hand numbing cold. In this game I think it's going to come down to who is willing to hit hard and make tough tackles - when their mind is just looking forward to getting back to the warm bench.
  22. I wasn't saying we fear the Chiefs. I just don't like the odds of needing to beat the Bengals in Cincinnati AND needing to beat the Chiefs in KC to get to the Super Bowl which could very well be the case as 3rd seed. I'll guarantee you the Chiefs fans would not like their odds either if the Chiefs were 3 seed and had to go on the road and beat the Bengals in Cinci AND then beat the Bills in Buffalo. It's a potential murderer's row, for whoever gets the 3 seed.
  23. Quoting myself to make an additional point: I think Cinci understands the same thing. If they are 3rd seed, likely they'd have to win 1st round at home, 2nd round beat the Chiefs in KC, and then AFC championship have to beat the Bills in Buffalo. They are going to be VERY motivated to avoid that scenario. I don't see any realistic scenarios where the Chiefs could end at number 3 and have to go on the road to beat both the Bills and the Bengals- which kind of sucks...
  24. Like most, I'm most concerned about the Bengals game. Win that and win out, get the #1 seed and we are in prime position. Even with that, we'd likely have to beat either KC or Cinci for the second time this season (tough to do) - but we know that and of course we all prefer our chances at home. If we lose to Cinci we MIGHT still end up with 2nd seed (If Baltimore beats them on the final weekend). But if we lose to Cinci and they beat Baltimore (and win out), then by virtue of same record as us but owning the head to head - they get the 2nd seed, we fall to 3rd, and our second playoff game (assuming we win our first) could end up being at Cinci. That to me is the ultimate tough road to the Super Bowl: 3rd seed and 1st round we beat somebody at home, 2nd round have to beat Cinci in Cinci, then AFC championship we have to beat KC in KC.
  25. It was not a good look. I understand there's a lot of snow in the stands and there are bound to be some snowballs thrown. But keep them in the stands; don't direct them at the field or worse, at opposing players on the field or on their bench. I sure would hate to see this behavior in a playoff game - it's a sure way to have viewers get a bad taste in their mouths about Bills fans. Which is sad because Bills Mafia does so much good and that normally gets positive attention. Put aside the heat thing in Miami (which was not something Dolphins fans "did" to us) and think about how you'd feel about fans in another city bombarding the Bills as they sat on the bench or tried to make plays on the field.
