  1. I hate to say it but in hindsight I'm now glad the Bills didn't advance to the Super Bowl. That Eagles team was not going to let anyone stand between them and the Lombardi. When the Allen led Bills get to their first Super Bowl the team needs to be solid in all phases and they need to win. If they get there and lose it will be very hard to get the "Bills can't win a Super Bowl" monkey off their back. Thinking you can just have an offense that is so good you can boat race anyone just doesn't cut it for me because there is too great of a chance of ending up on the short end of the stick. Normally I'm 100% in on the "you can't win it if you don't get there" train, but I just don't think we were ready this year on defense, even when everyone was healthy. With all that said I think we had a great season and exceeded expectations. And yes, I think we would have done better than the Chiefs but losing with a better showing would not have made any of us feel better. Go Bills!
  2. Concerning number 3. When I saw the Pringles commercial with the flying mustaches I thought at first it was a continuation of the Little Caesars one with the flying eyebrows. Weird that two products did basically the same thing?
  3. The halftime analysts talking about how KC can get back into this. They won't. The Eagles aren't the Falcons and the Chiefs aren't the Patriots. This is already, and will continue to be, an embarrassing Super Bowl blowout for the mighty Chiefs!
  4. You sure the Chiefs fans aren't booing the Chiefs offense? I think they are.
  5. The horseshoe falls HARD out of the Chief's ass today. I'm loving it. The Eagles D is a joy to watch.
  6. The NFL needs to come out of the 1950's. Either chips in both ends of the ball for accurate placement and/or use an AI imaging system that takes in all camera angles and determines exactly where the ball was. Neither is too difficult to do with current technology. It's crazy with so much on the line they use this archaic "I think I saw the ball progress to this point" and worse in our game they trot out going one place then arbitrarily meander backwards from the first down by the time they place the ball.
  7. Last year when they played us at home everyone knew our defense was decimated. I'm just saying if we keep giving them the 1 seed we keep playing them in KC where they are undefeated in the playoffs. It definitely makes our task harder, maybe so hard that you just have to be a LOT better than them to win there. I'm not sure we will get a lot better than them but I'm pretty sure if we got the 1 seed a few times, and the easy path to a home AFC championship, our chances of winning would be pretty good, even if our teams were just closer to equal.
  8. All the talk about the roster and the coaches but I agree with you, we are neck and neck with these guys. Imagine if the Bills had gotten the 1 seed for 5 of the last 6 years like the Chiefs had. We'd have had 5 seasons where in the playoffs we get a bye week, then play the weakest team at home - and voila, we are in the AFC championship game at home. No one can tell me we would not have beaten the Chiefs (or anyone else) in at least 2 or 3 of those. I don't think we need to focus so much on changing in massive ways to beat the Chiefs on their field (which no one has done in the playoffs recently). You need to focus on what needs to be done to win more games against everyone else in the regular season. Maybe there is some overlap in perceived needs there, but getting the 1 seed is crazy important in the AFC now.
  9. I'm getting over it, but disappointed still due to just how close we were, yet we ended so far away. I really think we need to find a way to get the 1 seed. Can you lose at home? Sure, but since 2019 the Chiefs are 13-0 in AFC playoffs, and 11 of those were at home. In that same span the Bills are 7-6 with all 7 wins at home (along with 2 losses). We're 0-4 on the road. KC had the #1 seed 4 of those 6 years meaning they get a bye to rest up then play the weakest seed team at home, then bingo they are back in the AFC championship game at home. With two teams as closely matched as the Chiefs and the Bills that makes for a huge advantage, especially over time.
  10. Referees missed two first down calls in Bills AFC Championship loss to Chiefs, a breakdown - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fs-L3jODWdE This is the best analysis I've seen.
  11. I captured two images from my replay. I believe both shots are at close to the same moment. In the one overhead view you can clearly see Josh has the ball tucked up in his upper chest, just near his chin, which puts it straight down below his helmet. In the side shot you can see where his helmet is and can easily figure out that the ball just below his helmet/chin is clearly at a spot that warranted a first down. Refs need to do better!
  12. Oops, I forgot this was the "we lost, fire the coaches" thread .
  13. Losing by 3 two years in a row to the best team in the NFL does not mean you've got a coaching problem. It means your team is very close to being the best in the league. Anytime you lose by that close of a margin to the Chiefs there are a handful of plays that - if they went differently (or in some cases were called by refs differently) - the game might easily have gone the other way. We need to keep the coaching staff we have, add some additional talent and keep at it to get to the mountain top. Firing the coaches almost assuredly just makes you slide down the mountain again. I'm sure many will puke on this but I think the Bills had a great year, despite not getting to the Super Bowl.
  14. Way too much pressure on Josh on that play to expect him to be able to see it and make the throw.
  15. What happened to the top down view that really looked obvious that we made the first? We get a glimpse of it then nevermore...
  16. Last year the Chiefs came into our stadium and knocked us out of the playoffs. Today's the day we get to return the favor! Go Bills!
  17. I agree. It seems when you rush three their QB has all day to make a play. And that means the receivers have all day to try to get open. Eventually someone gets very open. Kelce is very good at it in those situations.
  18. They are awesome and deserve so much credit for our success! The Billdozers?

  20. I thought this was done, but it has started back up again. We are now at 35 posts talking about one thing that Harold Jackson (a relative newbie) said. Please give it a rest.
  21. I think the vast majority of football fans want the Bills to beat the Chiefs because they just don't want to watch the Chiefs in another Super Bowl. All the recent talk about how the refs help the Chiefs is not helping their cause. The commoners want the King dethroned. There is also a growing groundswell of support for the Bills to finally get the Super Bowl win for the team and their long-suffering fans. Storm the gates and take the kingdom! The stage is as perfectly set as it can be!
  22. And I think his decision to kick the field goal to go up 8 instead of going for it on 4th and goal was smart! I know he was tempted (and Josh probably wanted) to go for it and deliver the knock-out punch but I think Baltimore was hoping we'd go for it so they could get a stop. If we had gone for it and Baltimore got the stop, a march down the field for a touchdown would have put Baltimore up by 2 (or 3 if they made a two-pointer), with next to no time left on the clock. My heart would not have been able to take it! Sometimes you have to play aggressive in that situation but sometimes you have to play smart.
