I've been a fan for over fifty years but have only been to 5 Bills games over the years. Including this one since I now live in Atlanta. We were favored in each, but we lost every one of them. Sorry.
I loved what he said at the end of the game when asked about how it felt to kick the game winner in that situation. Basically said "it's all about the team, they got me down there. All I do is swing a leg". Cool and composed and also humble. What's not to like?
Great game, reminded me of the comeback against the Oilers back in the day. Similar situation with half the fans leaving. One for the ages!! For all the haters on the game day thread, eat crow! Even if we had lost it was no reason to start talking about firing people. Go Bills!
I remember that - Bills won 31-0. And it was mostly downhill from there for the Bills - who finished 6-10. Last game of the year was at New England where the Pats won by the same 31-0 score. Yes, the first game is often the most meaningless. Especially now with the short preseason where many of the starters get so little playing time.
Seems like this is our year for the one year deals. Like playing slots, you are gambling with some of these guys, but if they outperform their norms and/or stay healthy when they haven't, there is the chance to score big.
