  1. I mean, this is a team message board the day after a ridiculously dumb loss and a connected reporter sent out a tweet literally inviting speculation... that's why "I know something but am not going to say it" is such a silly thing for a reporter to put out there.
  2. I am not sure what is going on with Josh. His head seems to be spinning right now. Part of the issue may be that Dorsey, personality-wise, is too similar to Josh and maybe Josh needs a governor, not a fuel injector. But to me the bigger issue is a lack of a coherent plan on offense - both from a game planning and roster management standpoint. How did it come to be that they kept SIX running backs active yesterday and managed to use NONE of them in the second half with a big lead? The roster decisions, I understand, are made by Beane with input from McD - where is Dorsey in that process and if the answer is "nowhere," what the hell is going on at OBD?
  3. Three things not on the same page: McD's vision for the offense, the assets Beane shops for, and Dorsey's game planning. There's your internal dysfunction.
  4. Ah yes the bi-annual “Wawrow hints…” thread.
  5. They say eventually you’ll go blind…
  6. The problem is he’s basically unfireable unless they flame out for the next three years. Ownership is weak and has zero track records. In many ways McDermott has more power, albeit less authority, than Terry.
  7. Was a terrible pick at the time and it hasn’t aged well. Just no reason for Beane to panic on a replacement-level player just because he got spurned by McKissic.
  8. The thing is, this regime is really good at own-foot-shooting. They have come up with a whole arsenal of ways to lose games. It is impressive in a grotesque way.
  9. This morning on NFL Gameday, Bruschi insisted - with 100% confidence resulting in pushback from his colleagues - that the Vikings would win on an end of game interception by Allen. He was absolutely certain of it. Could be a Patriots homer stirring the pot, or could be that the league is catching up to Allen and baiting him into losing his patience.
  10. Groot was a first bit a second but your point remains - roaster management is a real issue. They activated SIX rbs today - Jones, Cook, Gil, Duke, Motor and Hines. Yet they did not run the ball in the second half AT ALL up 17. What are you activating them for? They keep drafting and signing d-linemen for a rotation that is unable to impact games. As you said they traded for Hines and won’t use him - unless he was hurt, the OT drive would’ve been the perfect time to feature him with the safeties deep to prevent a big play. You really have to wonder if the coaches and GM are on the same page at all right now, it’s downright bizarre.
  11. Or: We let teams make great plays against us when the game is on the line.
  12. Grazie!
  13. Say it to me in Italian and just maybe.
  14. McD is a great program-builder/turnaround expert. Do not believe he can win a championship in an 18-game season plus the playoffs with smart minds on the other side of the field.
  15. He's Brett Favre at this point. His OC lacks answers when the opposing DC makes adjustments so Josh feels like he has to do everything himself in the second halves of games. They need a professional adult to coach this offense.
  16. Allen seems shook. I don't know if Dorsey survives this.
  17. LOL McDermott "playing 3D chess" all week with Allen's status and then can't manage basic gameday decisions. These guys are complete utter clown coaches.
  18. They are really poorly coached when it comes to situational awareness and in-game adjustments. These coaches are complete blockheads, they're mouth breathers.
  19. Allen has to decide what kind of QB he wants to be when he grows up.
  20. Allen has become Favre. I hope he still hasn't hit his ceiling but we may be at it.
  21. McDermott can turn around a program but he isn't going to win a championship. Time for the next regime.
  22. Fire some coaches. The fans deserve better than this.
  23. Coaches get fired because of games like this.
  24. This is just about the dumbest game I have ever seen.
  25. This team just cannot stay focused for an entire 60.
