McDermott starting next year will be coaching a team with a huge QB cap number, forcing them to start replacement-level vets or young players at various positions throughout the roster, with very little depth. It will look a lot like this injury-depleted stretch has looked. He is going to have to coach better to get a roster like that to perform at a high level for 17 games and the playoffs.

Anything less than at least one championship is a huge failure - though I know there is a section of the fanbase that is scared of success. McD has shown himself to be a fantastic program-builder. But he has yet to show he can style a roster to the modern nfl. He seems to need a LOT of resources to run his defense; meanwhile the offense has been neglected for years. It’s not a sustainable strategy.

Folks saying “Joe Montana” never watched him play. Great QB but wasn’t even attempting throws like that one.

I will not miss McDermott when he’s gone.

Dane Jackson is the worst player in the NFL.

This is McDermott’s low point. I am ready to move on from this entire regime even if they win.

Defense is built to beat the chiefs but they can’t stop a popgun.

The 12 yard cushion on 3rd and long is a staple of Frazier’s defense in 2022.

If he can stay healthy all season - huge if - he’s first team AP.

So with him you have to look at the improvement curve - he seems to be getting better and better. With an offseason preparing as the starter there is no reason he can’t step in next year and take his game to the next level. This regime develops players in the defensive secondary.

I have never seen a running back make such untimely, soul-crushing fumbles in a career. He is a disaster artist.

Hines and Shakir are being mothballed by these coaches for reasons we will never understand.

McKenzie is the worst starting player in the NFL. On Motor’s TD he didn’t know what the play was or where to line up, at the snap he just stood there. They scored despite him. He SUCKS.

They are only calling penalties on the Bills.
