  1. Unfortunately I have seen a lot of this stuff (fortunately I’ve never been the subject of it). Where someone gets “cancelled” it is almost always a situation where everyone already had their knives out for the person and the transgression, however minor, was used as an opportunity to kill them off. Maybe unfair punishment for the particular event but usually a fair outcome for the individual. This strikes me as being in that category. The good guys get second chances (usually, not always).
  2. 18 pages and I’ve not yet seen it said: Jerry Sullivan never struck me as someone who knows a lot about women.
  3. Down-punching from a classic down-puncher.
  4. Not engaging with the whole wHO WoUld YoU hAVe SIgnED bit here.
  5. Beas may or may not be "washed" - we'll find out soon. His body has had plenty of time to heal and rest up. Last season he was avoiding contact in the middle of the field, which is where slot receivers make their money. It's possible he just needed to step away from the game to get his body right. I wasn't a fan of his Twitter antics but he never did anything on social media like what McKenzie did this week - that Tweet reflected such a staggering lack of accountability it would not surprise me if he was cut this week. McKenzie is an unaccountable CLOWN who can't catch a football and doesn't show up for his teammates. He should be off the roster pronto. Beas is a weird dude but for the most part he was a great teammate when he wasn't drawing lines in the sand. But let's be honest, signing Brown and Beas in December is basically like buying scratch-off tickets with your final paycheck, with the rent about to be due. It's desperation time after a terrible offseason of underinvestment in the offense. It's an admission of defeat by Brandon Beane. Would not shock me if they've reached out to Darryl Williams as well. Remember - this is a much-hyped pro personnel department; they are much better at media placements than actually finding value in the FA market. It should NOT be this hard to find complementary skill assets like a slot receiver, backup tight ends, a running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield, a league-average guard - the FA market is littered with these guys but Beane and his crew continue to strike out and have resorted to bringing back the corpses of John Brown and Cole Beasley (after trotting out Emmanuel Sanders' corpse last season). This is a BAD LOOK for the front office that they had to build a bridge to a retired Cole Beasley in mid-December as a "solution" to their problems on offense. Unacceptable. But if Beas can squeeze six weeks of juice out of that old lemon, sign me up.
  6. As I said in one of the other threads on this - the execution issues seem to be a symptom of practice habits not being where they need to be. The routes, timing, blocking - it's all off. That tells me they're not practicing right (and McD basically agreed during his sideline remarks in-game).
  7. The Chiefs picked a RB in the 7th round in 2022 who is far better than the RB the Bills blew a 2nd round pick on in the same draft.
  8. In a way Phillips being out was helpful - he was the biggest liability against the running game the first time they played the Jets, repeatedly lost his gap and it led to big plays (including on the last GW drive).
  9. This guy and his dinosaur-brain... how come the Jets' receivers had no issues catching the ball yesterday?
  10. Scheme is a problem but the bigger problem IMO appears to be practice habits and McDermott knows it based on his sideline remarks yesterday. They are just not crisp at all in their routes, blocking angles, etc. Something is off in the way they practice on offense.
  11. Hodgins is not an outside WR, he's basically a "big slot" type aka David Nelson (but not as fast).
  12. Not only is there too little creativity/too much predictability in scheme (even Romo knew it would be a running play when Diggs left the field), the offense has zero physicality or heart to it other than Allen and Diggs. They are SOFT mentally and physically. Talent-wise, McKenzie should not be a starter on a supposedly good offense. Cook has never broken a tackle in his life. Saffold is a disgrace - he is stealing money from his employer. Even Dawkins seems out of shape, his "always something" approach to physical maintenance has started to catch up with him. Spencer Brown has not improved as a player. Davis has become an afterthought. They have zero backup tight ends. Just a staggering lack of talent across the board stemming directly from an under-investment.
  13. McKenzie is legit the worst starting player in the league on offense. And I’ve watched Mack Hollins plenty. McKenzie is worse. He is a negative play in a uniform.
  14. You guys playing cards?
  15. The "we can't catch a break" crowd is projecting their own life-pessimism onto the Bills. A less-talented Bills team was one coaching-related brain-fart away from putting away a more talented Chiefs team. Every team suffers injuries. Not every team chases a ring like the Bills did this offseason. It's unfortunate that this particular signing didn't work out but it was the right move. But as I said upthread, the smarter path to success would be to lean into the strength of the team, JA17, and focus on protecting him and giving him weapons.
  16. We have drafted enough DL for the time being, I think.
  17. Yes, absolutely. Lean into your strength. Plus offensive production is generally more consistent year to year.
  18. Signing him was a good move, it just didn't work out. They really have to start spending the resources on offense though.
  19. I actually think SF is the perfect offense and landing spot for him. Shanny runs an offense where the reads are well-defined and simple, and pocket mobility is hugely important. Really good fit and I could see him being successful there.
  20. It's Monday morning: power up your computer, log on to TSW, and post a half-formed thought for us mortals to try to decipher.
  21. Probably right. Not a concern unless he sits again against the Jets and Dolphins.
  22. Not surprised he wants to remain in place. Moving around ain’t his thing.
  23. His problem is he has ankles for hands
