  1. What about if people in Alabama decided that interracial marriage should be made illegal? What if people in Texas decided that Latinos (born here or not) needed to register as such and wear armbands? All of that ok, in your book, so long as those decisions were made at the state level?
  2. Two arthritic shoulders though - he may drop into the 20s.
  3. The right answer is probably somewhere in the middle. Saban has displayed an uncanny ability to recruit not only player talent but also coaching talent, with the latter skill more applicable to today's NFL. He would probably assemble a first-rate program. But I agree, in the NFL he'd need a QB.
  4. I guess he means that Marrone is surrounded with Coughlin...?
  5. This idiot can't even use the internet.
  6. The right to speak and the right to vote are all you've got going for you. And that's not very much.
  7. http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/03/doug_marrone_says_it_was_a_mistake_leaving_buffalo_bills_the_way_he_did.html "You look back, and obviously I made mistakes in Buffalo."
  8. Folks tend to overthink it with QBs and RBs, not sure why. Fournette is going to get drafted high, probably by Carolina, and will dominate at AP-level for the next 4-9 years.
  9. I'm fine with that too. Buddy Nix (and Whaley in his first couple of years) got too cute at times waiting for a QB they liked to fall to them into the right "value." Just pick a g-damn QB and don't look back.
  10. Eh, I think it's more a testament to the awesomeness that is Kyle Williams. He has had no business being that good, for that long. He's just an incredible football player and one of my all-time favorite Bills.
  11. That is probably right. But I think the Cardinals will surprise and take a QB - and they'll stay put if they have to. Their roster is stacked, they can afford to take a chance.
  12. He was the best player on that defense last year.
  13. Mahomes is the QB I want in this draft. But I don't trust Whaley to figure out how and when to draft him. He'll screw this up - we'll end up with a cornerback and a safety as our top two picks.
  14. Gilmore is far from my favorite player but he's a rare example of a quality Buffalo draft pick - unfortunately with all of the coaching turnover, our player development program has been lagging behind the rest of the league. Plus the lack of a cohesive, winning environment makes it harder to lock up young talent. It sucks to lose quality players like Gilmore, even though he's a bitchass who hates tackling and seems to care more about his own stats than winning. This team is really depressing.
  15. With Grigson and Baalke out of the way, his business is being arguably the worst GM in the NFL. And if they get rid of Shady and Tyrod this offseason, he gets to keep the trophy.
  16. Paxton Lynch And yes, instead of the injured Shaq Lawson
  17. What business did Whaley have taking that gamble, K-9? That's my issue, not the veracity of what he did or didn't say. Gambling with that pick was inexcusable unless it was for a much higher-ceiling player like a QB or Miles Jack.
  18. True, but much easier to rebuild on the go when you have a franchise QB in place.
  19. Welp. Maybe there is some teeth to this, after all. At least try to trade him - to Baltimore, where he'd reunite with Roman and give the Ravens a legit back for the first time in years. He'd make the Ravens a SB contender. I hate this team.
  20. You could be right. I guess my rule is that if someone starts a thread like this, they had better stick around to defend their OP, especially when it gets so blatantly and widely discredited. When they don't do that, I think it's fair to infer that they're a troll... As for the theory itself - yes it makes more than a shred of sense. But it would also be quite depressing. If you're going to rebuild, and you're going to do it by jettisoning the two most productive players on your offense (which is your most productive unit), then logic would dictate not allowing the GM who caused the rebuild to be the architect of it. If they're getting rid of Tyrod and Shady, then Whaley should be following them out the door. Although keeping Whaley and getting rid of the team's core strength would also be the most Bills-y thing imaginable...
