That's true. I don't like the way the Texans are using him. He can get open downfield, with speed. Seems like a perfect compliment to Hopkins (or Watkins). I'm going to blame their QB issues for his lack of performance - I think he'd be a good fit on this Bills team based on his skillset. That said, I wanted Myles Jack at 19, and then in Round 2.

He gets blown off the line and lines up or jumps offsides way too often for my liking. He might well develop into a good player but I've been very unimpressed to date.

The offense is almost irrelevant to this discussion. Rex earned his dismissal because his schemes on defense have not worked, and he hasn't adjusted them to the realities of the modern NFL where you don't get to practice much and you have constant churning of the roster due to injuries and the salary cap. And on top of that, he doesn't have his players prepared enough on gameday. The poor communication we saw last year continues to plague this defense. Guys running on the field late, yelling at each other, lined up wrong, IT'S STILL HAPPENING. That's on Rex and it's inexcusable.

I would've disliked the player but approved of the draft strategy. I think posters keep missing this aspect of the conversation. Yes it's too early to judge Shaq Lawson as a player. No, it's not too early to criticize the strategy behind drafting him at that spot - something that BADOL keeps hammering on (and about which I agree with him).

Those definitely are two words. Thank you.
