  1. I'm fine with that too. Buddy Nix (and Whaley in his first couple of years) got too cute at times waiting for a QB they liked to fall to them into the right "value." Just pick a g-damn QB and don't look back.
  2. Eh, I think it's more a testament to the awesomeness that is Kyle Williams. He has had no business being that good, for that long. He's just an incredible football player and one of my all-time favorite Bills.
  3. That is probably right. But I think the Cardinals will surprise and take a QB - and they'll stay put if they have to. Their roster is stacked, they can afford to take a chance.
  4. He was the best player on that defense last year.
  5. Mahomes is the QB I want in this draft. But I don't trust Whaley to figure out how and when to draft him. He'll screw this up - we'll end up with a cornerback and a safety as our top two picks.
  6. Gilmore is far from my favorite player but he's a rare example of a quality Buffalo draft pick - unfortunately with all of the coaching turnover, our player development program has been lagging behind the rest of the league. Plus the lack of a cohesive, winning environment makes it harder to lock up young talent. It sucks to lose quality players like Gilmore, even though he's a bitchass who hates tackling and seems to care more about his own stats than winning. This team is really depressing.
  7. With Grigson and Baalke out of the way, his business is being arguably the worst GM in the NFL. And if they get rid of Shady and Tyrod this offseason, he gets to keep the trophy.
  8. Paxton Lynch And yes, instead of the injured Shaq Lawson
  9. What business did Whaley have taking that gamble, K-9? That's my issue, not the veracity of what he did or didn't say. Gambling with that pick was inexcusable unless it was for a much higher-ceiling player like a QB or Miles Jack.
  10. True, but much easier to rebuild on the go when you have a franchise QB in place.
  11. Welp. Maybe there is some teeth to this, after all. At least try to trade him - to Baltimore, where he'd reunite with Roman and give the Ravens a legit back for the first time in years. He'd make the Ravens a SB contender. I hate this team.
  12. You could be right. I guess my rule is that if someone starts a thread like this, they had better stick around to defend their OP, especially when it gets so blatantly and widely discredited. When they don't do that, I think it's fair to infer that they're a troll... As for the theory itself - yes it makes more than a shred of sense. But it would also be quite depressing. If you're going to rebuild, and you're going to do it by jettisoning the two most productive players on your offense (which is your most productive unit), then logic would dictate not allowing the GM who caused the rebuild to be the architect of it. If they're getting rid of Tyrod and Shady, then Whaley should be following them out the door. Although keeping Whaley and getting rid of the team's core strength would also be the most Bills-y thing imaginable...
  13. Here's something you should do: go look in the mirror. The person looking back at you has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.
  14. Can someone explain to me the psychology behind posting fake information? It seems to be a "thing" going on in society these days - people seem to delight over lying to large groups of people for no real reason. As a casual student of human behavior, I'm wondering why folks get off on doing that type of thing - where's the thrill in it? Is it just the fleeting sensation of power over a bunch of strangers, watching them react to something false that you created? It strikes me as sick, but the sickness appears to be contagious in our time...
  15. Or one more quality FA agreeing to consider signing with the Bills because they aren't worried that they're stepping into a dysfunctional mess.
  16. I may have agreed with that until I watched Reed play this past season. He was far more disruptive and penetrating than how he had been billed.
  17. He was trash on the field after getting paid tho - only a 2-year "prove it" type thing.
  18. Allen reminds me of his former linemate Jarran Reed who fell to Seattle in Round 2 last year because he lacked "flash plays" - Reed was excellent as a rookie. You can't go wrong adding talent to the front seven. Whereas DBs...
  19. He's trolling you dude, and you're taking the bait each time. Come ahhhn.
  20. But according to Fire Chan, (i) you don't know any of that for a fact; and (ii) he's a fig leaf for Whaley (but see (i)).
  21. Ehr mah gerd The TBD Worm has returned.
