  1. There is no one open on that play. No one. My goodness Mills is terrible.
  2. The other problem with playing not to lose is that the players start to realize that their coach doesn't have any confidence in them.
  3. Losing out on Mike McCoy was the most underrated event of the offseason.
  4. When Promo gets angry at the product on the field he takes it out on his fellow fans. His internal dysfunction tends to reach a fever pitch by mid-September so we are right on schedule. By late October he usually sheepishly falls in line with reality.
  5. Correct. And like you and I have said, he also slowed down. He started trotting to the sideline, then seemed surprised to see the ball coming towards him and fought the catch with his hands. It was a disaster of a route and demonstrated a disturbing lack of focus and situational awareness.
  6. Finally watched it. I can't even believe this is being debated. It is clear as day to me that the rookie completely screwed up his route. He broke wrong, stumbled, slowed down, and completely seemed to forget he was even a target. He seemed surprised to look up and see the ball coming to him. Dude needs to wake the f-up. Tyrod hates his hapless WRs, is what this game showed me. He has no confidence in them nor should he. His throws were conservative but mostly fine. He still scrambles too much.
  7. Bingo. History repeats itself in Buffalo.
  8. Cousins is a fraud. He will never win a Super Bowl and I am sure of this.
  9. But what are their respective pressure numbers? That's really what matters, not sacks. Rex Ryan's defense (or whatever you can call the monstrosity he brought to Buffalo) wasn't about sacks, it was about pressure and confusion (it was supposed to confuse the offense, ironically).
  10. That's all well and good but what they really need is a psychologist to work with Dalton. Something is seriously wrong with that dude right now.
  11. I'm suggesting he's TSW's Tobias Funke.
  12. And ironically enough, Luck would be the PERFECT QB for Arians' system. In fact the Cardinals should try to swing a trade for Luck, they already have the rest of their roster rounded out and don't really need the picks. Luck is the best QB in the league at keeping his eyes downfield and finding receivers late in their routes, and Arians' offense is predicated on that.
  13. Ok, you know what you do? You buy yourself a tape recorder, you just record yourself for a whole day. I think you're going to be surprised at some of your phrasing.
  14. That is true, and Reggie White's bullrush was unprecedented. But all of those guys flew off the ball. With Shaq, I see the power, I just don't see the quickness.
  15. Well - as I said earlier in this thread - if Luck is dealt it's because his camp forced Irsay's hand. Perhaps this rumor of discontent is the first crack in the armor.
  16. I do, but how is that relevant to describing the play depicted in that video clip? He pushes his man and then falls on top of him.
  17. You're the poster child for ill-informed takes, Wayne.
  18. He doesn't "burst." He pushes his blocker over backwards and then falls over that blocker into the backfield. I'm not saying it wasn't a great play - it was. But it's not a play that demonstrates any kind of elite passrushing skills.
  19. He doesn't demonstrate explosion on that play, he demonstrates strength.
  20. Actually now that I've watched that play about 50 times, and looking at the still, if Tyrod throws it where it would hit Clay in stride, the safety (or nickel back?) is in position to intercept it and take it 105 yards to the house. Maybe Tyrod threw it slightly behind him on purpose??
  21. I just don't see explosion from Shaq. Strength and energy, but not explosion. I guess it just isn't very productive to view him under the lens of his draft position at this point. He seems like he can be a valuable piece of the defense, but not an elite player. His ceiling is probably Shaun Ellis, not Melvin Ingram or Terrell Suggs.
