  1. Since no one else is discussing it, I’ll add: 1) we improved the first round pick we get from KC (I know, we worsened our own but still). 2) we closed the book on Hunt for ROY and White is back in that convo
  2. There is no accountability for anything in the NFL. None.
  3. Didn’t Dennison call the pass to O’Leary that would’ve gone down to the 10 yard line if Tyrod (who had all day to throw) makes an easy throw for YAC? I hate Dennison, and I’ve been in Tyrod’s corner, but I have a hard time getting upset about the playcalling today. Tyrod took dumb sacks and missed throws in the second half.
  4. Ok, I just fired him. Now what?
  5. Let's just go all in and blame Hillary and Obama, eh?
  6. Wouldnt be the first time and I don’t claim to know what I’m looking at. When I watch Rosen I see a QB who is stiff, hesitates, and has odd technique. I’m not the least bit impressed with him. He reminds me of Mike Glennon. I watch Mayfield and see a guy who can play in any offense, who is hyper accurate while on the move, and who elevated his teammates. He reminds me of Aaron Rogers.
  7. Preston and Shaq won’t even be starters here next year.
  8. They may stay put and try to land a WR, DT LB or DE with one of their firsts and a QB with the other.
  9. Rosen stinks. He has this weird ball-patting technique which he compounds by staring down his receivers. Baker Mayfield or bust for me folks.
  10. Those of you banking on an offseason of draft picks and cap room - what makes you think they won’t grab a bunch of Ducasses right out of the gate?
  11. The Pegulas “back the wrong horse” with amazing consistency. Like, every time.
  12. Lets see what he has to say to his boss when that happens. It’s going to happen. The question is, does Terry think that it’s an acceptable outcome? Was Terry warned that a historically un-competitive product would be fielded this season? Did Terry sanction Beane standing up after the Watkins trade and assuring the fans (after season ticket sales had closed) that the team was committed to winning in 2017? We’ll see.
  13. Just remember, most of these guys are basically gym teachers who’ve made it very far. It helps me to think about it that way sometimes.
  14. That’s not quite true - McD started as a scout.
  15. I agree with you there - TT wouldn't have fared any better given that the line can't block. But he might not have lost the lockerroom and again, I'm concerned about their overall player evaluation skills. How does Ducasse look against the live bullets?
  16. Don't we need to question their ability to collect and analyze info about their own team? Does this not suggest that they may also be wrong about who should be starting on the right side of the line, among other positions?
  17. Does anyone here have any confidence that McDermott knows what he is doing? Can someone please articulate the plan?
  18. I am shocked they are looking at Moore - his teammates have hated him wherever he’s been.
  19. Whoa my thread killed Mead
  20. Well this got some action...
  21. Theyre following the wrong path by constantly letting themselves get talked into things instead of studying the business like it’s their dissertation before making these decisions and/or turning over the management of both teams to experienced and qualified strategic executives.
  22. I don’t pretend to believe that NFL and NHL owners inherently know how to navigate the complex industries they operate in. Some get it innately because they’re extremely savvy businesspeople. The good ones learn it eventually but usually after some trial and error. The best ones know how to ask the right questions of the right people at the right times. The Pegulas strike me as insulated novices who tend to follow their “guts” more often than not. Rex and McD have very little in common EXCEPT that I can see both of them oozing confidence during the interview process. Both men could steelily stare the Pegulas in the eyes and say, confidently and with a clenched jaw or a fist on the table for effect, “Don’t worry, I got this. I can turn this around.” And then Kim turns to Terry on the way out of the interview and says, “I don’t know, something about him just really reassured me. It feels like he’s the one who can fix this thing.” Billion dollar businesses shouldn’t work that way.
  23. They were dysfunctional franchises that had begun accumulating talent, perhaps despite themselves. That talent has been largely dismantled under the reigns of Murray and now McBeane a/k/a Pol Pot.
