  1. I suspect he was satisfied with how well the D was QB'd from the Mike spot. It doesn't completely make up for Brown's limited athleticism but it helps.
  2. Hard to call him a home run when he's been fired from two jobs in a row due to unimaginative, failed offenses. He couldn't win with Rivers. His playbook is complex and he doesn't get the most out of his personnel, especially in the running game. Bevell would be a home run. They'd both be upgrades over Dennison... Dennison was an uninspired, poorly thought-out hire.
  3. You're the one who should be banned, you reply to every post on this board as if it's a personal text exchange.
  4. IMO the bigger score here would be Tice...
  5. The Seahawks led the league in rushing in 2014 and Wilson led the league in TD passes in 2017. Bevell has done a fantastic job with street free agents for an offensive line. He’d do wonders here.
  6. He did just fine with Brett Favre. He can work with any type of QB. His issue has been designing the running game... Bevell would be a GREAT hire IMO.
  7. You don't know what stopgap means.
  8. great new thread, I feel enlightened
  9. That’s fine - one less negotiation point in his second contract. The NFL is a joke though - you start to wonder if it’s being run by the Russian mob.
  10. Just wait Dave, just you wait. They have four months to talk themselves out of it.
  11. Oh please. You know what's just as annoying as liberals crying about words? Trolls who think it's hilarious sport to "poke the bear," wait for a response, then call out the person responding for having "feelings." It's cynical and it's tiresome. You're better than that. JoeSixPack isn't, but you are.
  12. Sounds like you have feelings and an agenda. Just admit it. You think America was tougher and stronger in 1950. Admit it, Boyst. Every time someone claims racism or sexism (or sexual assault), you approach the situation with anger (a feeling!) and a bias. Dig deep and confront yourself.
  13. Baltimore and the Jets might back up the Brinks truck for him.
  14. Would be a pleasure “but” - very conditional.
  15. Or don't show up here with an agenda on one side or the other. The PPP crowd loves to claim that the other side has an "agenda" - but most of the time, they're the ones with an agenda. There are folks out there on liberal campuses who immediately believe every accusation of racism/sexism/etc. There aren't too many of those folks on this Board, in actuality. On the other hand, we have plenty of PPP-mongers who immediately discredit every accusation of racism/sexism/etc. and start hunting around for semantic arguments or attempt to paint the other side as a bunch of hypocrites. The "But Obama..." folks are insufferable. We have tons of them. Here is the fact: we don't yet know what happened. Can we leave it at that?
  16. So typical of the PPP crowd to divert the discussion to a semantic argument. Also typical of the PPP crowd to use that semantic argument to try to demonstrate that the accuser is either a hypocrite or a moron. Next you'll call me an idiot. Why not address the substance for once?
  17. Best running game coordinator in the NFL and his 2017 results in Baltimore prove that yet again. But he can't call plays situationally, nor does he process things quickly enough to get the playcalls in on time. He's a great coach Monday-Saturday. Kinda like Coach Tuesday.
  18. McCoy is probably going to have to take a position (likely QB) coach role for a couple of years to rebuild his reputation.
  19. ^^^^THIS^^^^ He can't spin the ball hard enough for the NFL, he won't make it. I was hopeful his arm strength would be better in the pros but it's not. He just can't make the throws. Frankly they should just cut him.
  20. My observations: - The whole team looked a bit tight today - you could tell they weren't really ready for the big stage. Dropped passes, missed blocks, mental errors on special teams - even the playcalling seemed tight and tentative. That's ok. - Tyrod treated the ball like it was a hot potato - he couldn't wait to get it out of his hand. He never seemed locked into the game. I've had this issue with him all year/career - he never seems to know what down and distance it is, where the playclock is at, whether he needs to hurry up and get the ball snapped to avert a challenge etc. - simply put, his situational awareness is awful and always has been. I like that he's even keel, but it's a double-edge sword - he lacks that second gear that the great ones have. He just doesn't have the fire or intensity you need to carry a team on your back. - I need to call out a couple of guys who really sucked today. Eric Wood was mostly garbage today - he may just be nearing the end of the line. Zay Jones has not impressed me with a single play this season - he doesn't fight for the ball, his routes aren't crisp, he isn't a great blocker, basically he kind of just blows. He seems happy to just be there. I worry that he lacks compete. Deonte Thompson is a nice story but man was he bad today - drops, bad routes, a terrible holding penalty. Charles Clay needs to show up in games like this - he was invisible. Hughes lost contain a bunch of times. - Tre's dropped interception broke my heart. He makes that play and they might find a way to win the game right there and then. Plus it puts him in the driver's seat for DROY. Ah well, I love the kid, he had a great season, I can't complain. - Gotta hand it to the coaching and effort on the defensive side of the ball. There were players in the rotation today whom I've never heard of (Hatley?) - there were multiple street free agents playing defensive line for the Bills today and they were winning battles up front. - On offense, what can you say? You wonder if McD has the vision or the stones to hit the reset button at BOTH QB and OC. I'm not sure he does. Both Tyrod and Dennison were overmatched on the big stage today, I just wonder if McD will hold his coaches accountable the way he holds his players accountable. I'm betting not - I suspect Dennison gets retained, unfortunately. - Overall, these guys overachieved relative to the talent they ended up with in December/January. I hated the Watkins trade (could've used him today) and the Dareus trade made no sense to me in-season (why not wait?) - but they made the playoffs without any of those guys and vastly outplayed their talent level to get to this point. It's a big season for The Process and The Program and it gives McD lots of institutional credibility when it comes to recruiting and developing players and coaches. 2017 was a success, overall, for the Buffalo Bills. Why don't you say it, then? You can add your own points you know, you don't need to critique the completeness of Virgil's... some of you folks are such weirdos...
  21. Tyrod played like Trent Edwards. He played like a coward.
  22. He's just bad at his job. I wonder if McD will hold coaches accountable the way he (claims to) hold players accountable.
  23. Good half but could've been so much better - too many unforced errors with drops, bad looks by Tyrod, odd playcalling. Newsflash, neither of these teams is going to win the Super Bowl.
