You are 100% right, I know someone who sat at the table during those negotiations and believe me, the Bills had the State and County over a barrel and Littman treated the entire set of discussions as if he were negotiating for his retirement parachute (which he was). And without revealing too much information, you are spot-on that the State was the one trying to ensure the Bills remained in Buffalo (and had a long-term stadium) during those discussions, not Ralph. Ralph played Bills fans for total saps and ran the team like a used car franchise. This is correct. Jackson is a drop-back QB with exceptional athleticism when the play breaks down. Really, the only reason the Bills should avoid Jackson is that Bills fans seem to be getting dumber and will give the guy zero benefit of the doubt because they assume he must be like Tyrod all over again. He'll have a tough time succeeding here unless he goes full Watson right out of the gate.

Something was definitely afoot with both Cordy and Sammy during their last seasons on the roster, respectively. And yes, pun intended. There seemed to be a constant, secret fight going on between those players and the team doctors about whether they were well enough to be on the field, the result of which left both players, and the team, resenting and mistrusting each other.
