  1. Totally good and fair topic that will trigger a whole swath of folks for their own reasons.
  2. Your feelings are valid.
  3. I went to college in the 90s and had plenty of fraternity brother friends and this was how they all talked to each other. Not defending it but it was the norm.
  4. Ugh I do not miss this era. And boy if this same event happened today it would be like driving a needle into the eye of public discord.
  5. Yes you are perhaps describing a player development issue moreso than a talent acquisition/scouting issue. And you could say the same thing about Beane’s free agent signings - many of them have been slow to acclimate on the field. Player development and scouting/pro personnel are related but not the same. Perhaps they’re doing some self-scouting in that regard by firing Ciano or perhaps that is totally unrelated - but on-field player development has lagged behind much of the rest of the McBeane sectors.
  6. Deal with the merits instead of attacking the speaker.
  7. He used one of his 3-5 yearly posts for that. On some level I deeply respect it! But he’s also wrong.
  8. “The speech makes me scared and upset so I’m going to attack the speaker and his motives.” LAME
  9. Kinkaid. CyBo. Even Coleman. There is room for improvement with how the young guys acclimate physically.
  10. You have an elite QB and offensive line - that should be a good enough environment for any good back to succeed in.
  11. If those are the actual numbers - then yes, it would make zero sense.
  12. Maybe they feel like they can spend considerably less than $250M to get Lawrence's level of production - a bridge QB at a much cheaper price while they search for someone who actually has a competitive light bulb burning is not a crazy thought... Also if the Jags put this out there it may be because they want to drum up a market...
  13. His trade value will never be higher than it is right now. That’s the move.
  14. There were literally decades of Bills football where OL depth was a glaring weakness every year. So nice to see that change.
  15. Maybe. They also had weeks to scheme against us and had played us earlier in the season and every other season going back like 5 years. But yes, the overall takeaway from the SB is that the best way to win in today's NFL is to be able to "affect the quarterback" in the playoffs/SB. There are different ways to do that - pressure, disguised coverages, an elite secondary - perhaps any of those things would've helped us get past the Chiefs but instead we had none of them (for many years in a row now).
  16. McD hasn’t yet gotten this hire right for some reason. They need to modernize their entire operation on Teams and quit clowning around with inexperienced hires.
  17. Amazing how many folks' views are shaped by McDermott's idiotic jet lag planning.
  18. Traveling internationally to see the Bills is an absolute blast and I can’t wait to do it again.
  19. He’s doing better than many folks here…
  20. IMO this is his most likely destination. If he can stay healthy - big if, since McVay has been slamming him into walls for his whole career now - he could replace Kelce and extend their window a bit.
  21. His own GM put him on notice last week.
  22. Reed might want to stay in NY and learn from Aaron Glenn.
  23. I think Dart makes a pre-draft rise similar to Bo Nix last year.
