He sure did. I'm sure this isn't what he signed off on - he was supposed to be the third QB acting as a mentor/extra QB coach to the two young QBs ahead of him. He was not supposed to get thrust into live action and pummeled relentlessly. He was enjoying a nice retirement, golfing and hanging with his kids. He's playing like he wants the ball out of his hand quickly.

Had me laughing to myself for awhile.

I thought this might happen - was actually wondering if the Bills would be interested given his versatility and the fact that he can play the Taiwan Jones role.

I think McD is safe for sure. He's not a bad coach and seems to have a good rapport with the players. He may be young enough to adapt and he's been part of quality organizations. Beane, on the other hand, should be on shakier ground. He was hired to be McD's personnel guy - questionable enough, given that McD as a first-time coach didn't deserve to have that kind of reporting structure. And perhaps it's time to strip McD of his personnel powers, given the state of the roster - which effectively means canning his personal personnel person. That's what I would do.

There are things called player development programs which could address that internally, without having to expel the talented player. McD seems insecure to me.

Edmunds makes that play. But Edmunds was out, because IIRC he was concussed on a helmet-leading charge by Devlin. After Edelman had speared a Bills player with his helmet after signaling for a fair catch (for which Edelman was penalized, but not for leading with his helmet).

Zay is a replacement-level player made to look competent because of his surrounding cast. The next tackle he breaks will be the first one.

Not true at all. Brandon Beane is the General Manager of a $1B business and has systematically run half of its personnel side into the ground in a less than two year period. By what metrics does he deserve to keep his job?

Read Shady's post-game quotes. Think he signed up for this level of ineptitude? Honestly, I should've just written, "Fire Beane: Nate Peterman is still on the roster." That alone...

Both things are true.

Seriously - I cannot fathom that so many people believe this chaos and incompetence was all part of some grand design. It's almost like dogma...

B.S. This is no "process." There is no way that this level of offensive ineptitude was PLANNED.
