  1. Greggo's defense is designed to bully weak offenses and rookie QBs. Against feeble opponents, they look amazing. Against anyone else, they are very vulnerable. My lasting memory of Greggo was him slamming his clipboard on the ground as the Patriots ran yet another successful misdirection screen pass for a huge gain against him, circa 2002. Pretty sure it was Kevin Faulk. EDIT: yup here it is: https://www.upi.com/New-England-38-Buffalo-7/61961036371084/ "Running back Kevin Faulk turned a screen pass into a 45-yard scoring play with 7:33 left in the third quarter to increase New England's lead to 24-7."
  2. Agree with Blokes about Cajuste. Not sure he goes top 5 but he definitely goes top 10 and is going to be the first offensive lineman taken. We have seen this before - the early offseason "consensus" top LT is a technician who probably has hit his ceiling already (Jonah) - they almost always get leapfrogged by an athletic riser who tests well at the combine and has room to grow into the position. That's Cajuste - his ceiling is higher than any other offensive lineman in the class. And it wouldn't shock me at all if the Bills are hoping he falls to 9 - he'd be the pick in a heartbeat.
  3. Jamaal Adams will love playing for him.
  4. This is no time to be chasing a quick BJ.
  5. But is he the best-looking special teams coach in the league? That’s what’s most important.
  6. I think it’s fair to ask whether McBeane have sufficient contacts around the league to fully evaluate both players and coaches, or whether they’re overly reliant on recommendations from their former colleagues. Certainly he seems energetic and dedicated and he’s no retread; hopefully he can fix the woeful STs we’ve seen during McD’s tenure (and I’ve always thought that Teams was more about the head coach and GM). But you have to wonder whether McBeane have a full grasp of personnel and coaching evaluations. It’s a fair question.
  7. Ouch - I resemble that remark.
  8. Offer him a lifetime supply of white gym socks, that oughta seal the deal with Philbsy.
  9. And Rizzi looks like he'll end up with Green Bay. I'm wondering whether McBeane is seen as being on thin ice heading into 2019 - win or else. Would make it harder to attract coaches.
  10. Unbelievable, even for you.
  11. The Chargers’ defensive scheme and preparation are negligent to a high degree. Bradley should be ashamed.
  12. He’s obviously right - the Pegulas thought they could stroll into the NFL with no guidance other than the snake oil salesman Brandon. The fans are still paying for the owners’ decision to learn on the job. All of the personnel mistakes we’ve seen during their tenure - and there have been many - stem from their lack of experience and false confidence that the business of football would be easy to figure out.
  13. Wait till Mahomes or Lynn beats Belichek...
  14. As they say, if you can’t leave your staff alone, you’ll eventually go blind.
  15. Pretty sure that's when you move to Florida.
  16. Maybe Harbaugh has enough attention to detail to make sure plays get in to the QB before 4 seconds are left on the clock. Rex didn't. A careful head coach deals with that issue.
  17. McDermott was a scout FYI...
  18. Head COUCH though...
  19. People change though... it's not immutable. Maybe he'll grow up a bit.
  20. Whoa whoa WHOA! LOTS going on here - changing fonts, changing type sizes, weird highlighting, a Maya Angelou reference, and "head couch"! You get my vote for Post of 2019 so far - but it's early.
