To have an offense this bad, in the Age of Offense, is truly remarkable. -

Honestly Anderson should just go back to the golf course - he has little interest in competing right now. -

Browns: HC Hue Jackson fired

Rex and Hue are actually very similar personality types. Both are big talkers, neither has produced much. -
Pats Aren't Done Trading For WR's?
Coach Tuesday replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Patriots as a franchise are in the business of winning titles. The Bills are on some long-term quest for relevance, where by 2020 they expect to be ready to start considering being competitive, sometimes. But boy, will they be high character about it when they get there. -
It’ll be Koetter.

Jordan Matthews looks serviceable enough.

This thread is really informative. "Blah blah blah Trump..." "Blah blah blah those leftist retards..." What does Trump have to do with the Pittsburgh shooting? Nothing. Sure, I'm sure there are a bunch of inane Op Eds today blaming Trump for inciting divisiveness - but none of them are linked here, and no one in this thread is seriously advocating that viewpoint. But that doesn't stop Greggo from doing his hero worship routine. Every thread on the PPP forum follows the exact same formula - a topic is given lip-service to, followed by a barrage of pro-Trump ranting, a bit of conspiracy mongering, some weird "articles" half copied and pasted by B'more Bills, and the occasional racist outburst... This place is TIRED....

Well good - if he can pretend to play QB, he's already better than Anderson and Peterman.

I am so sick and tired of the garbage nfl officiating. Those calls should be reviewable. The NFL is about as forward-thinking as a teacher’s union.

The answer is you CAN draft for need as long as you’re able to move up and down the draft board so that you’re picking the player of need at the appropriate draft value. Teams get into trouble by OVERdrafting for need. I’m not a fan of Beane’s work generally, but he does seem to have a good understanding of where specific players should fall on the draft board and has shown the ability and willingness to move around to get them. It’s not something I’m concerned about with him.

What's odd to me is that there are many folks here who contend that it's impossible to evaluate Josh Allen this season given the poor talent he has around him - yet have no problem criticizing Daboll. If it's true for Allen, it's true for Daboll... I have no idea if he's a good OC or not. What I do know is that Brandon Beane's personnel department cannot evaluate offense and, I suspect, Beane lacks a coherent strategy for building an offense. Hopefully at the very least Daboll knows what he looks for in the various positions on offense and can effectively communicate that to Beane ahead of this critical offseason. It may be more important than his play calling abilities.

Theory about Raiders/Gruden

The Giants are an example of how bad decision-making can cascade through the league and cause consequences to other teams. The Maras stuck Shurmur and Gettleman with Manning for 2018, which was a bad directive. Gettleman passed up on the chance to trade down, acquire picks, and still likely draft a QB of the future - so he could take a running back. Horrible decision when you factor in the opportunity cost. Meanwhile Gettleman’s stubborn idiocy probably cost the Bills the chance to draft Darnold, the consequences of which remain to be seen. And now, the Giants are shedding talent to acquire extra picks to guarantee themselves a top QB prospect in 2019, which they should’ve dealt with in 2018. When you factor in the amount of picks that Gettleman passed up on acquiring, along with the picks he may have to spend to trade up, it’s astounding - deferring the QB decision will cost the Giants like 5-6 draft picks and some quality players. And those are just the consequences to the Giants - as I said above, their stupidity affected other teams such as ours...

Bronco's cut Chad Kelly

Maybe the dumbest idea I’ve ever heard here, which is saying something. -

The only way to screw up Josh Allen’s development more than the Bills already have is to sign, midseason no less, the nephew of the most famous QB ever to play in Buffalo, who also happens to be a complete, unaccountable knucklehead. Brilliant idea!!
