  1. His body finally gave out this year - he just can’t play anymore. Some athletes fall off quickly and that’s what happened. He’s just done and everyone knows it.
  2. Probably easier if I just show you...
  3. Interesting tidbit from PFT: https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/21/rams-knew-early-on-that-ndamukong-wasnt-the-same-old-suh/ "As one source pointed out to PFT, the Rams’ first choice was Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes, but Buffalo and L.A. couldn’t work out a deal before the deadline. Maybe Hughes will become the Rams’ next target in 2019, when Suh and/or Fowler leave as free agents."
  4. Now THAT'S what I call unfounded conjecture.
  5. Perfect time to build up the trenches in Buffalo - build from the inside out, get a center and another good guard to pair with Teller, upgrade at RT, bring in some talent at TE, construct a spearhead to put in front of Allen. Best way to level the playing field on offense is to fortify the line, increases your margin for error in any given game. And on D, need some interior pass rushing talent, make Brady have to move off his spot on his taped-together knee... I want powerhouse trenches football in Buffalo in 2019.
  6. Is this a surprise? There is not really any elite talent on this roster, like none. Yeah Milano had a good year before getting hurt, but the linebacker spot is more competitive for purposes of the Pro Bowl. I am still waiting for Brandon Beane to demonstrate some semblance of hope that he can scout and acquire talent. I haven't seen it. So far he has assembled one of the least-talented (maybe THE least-talented) roster in the NFL. It's really easy to orchestrate a tear-down - at some point soon he'll have to show that he can actually build something. I'm very skeptical. As I said to a buddy the other day - the construction of the Bills' 2018 roster borders on negligent homicide - and I'm the corpse.
  7. This is what I’ve been saying for ages! If you’re forced to scrape together an offense on the cheap, might as well load up on versatile fast dudes who can pressure a defense.
  8. That goal line play in particular against the Jets - I remember Urlacher making that play his rookie year. Not saying Edmunds won't get it, but I agree with you they need to hedge their bets somewhat.
  9. I’m betting on a third poster in this thread using the mis-phrase “could of” in a sentence. Help me get there!
  10. He may be mentally ill, and I don’t say that lightly.
  11. This. He has never flashed. He is replacement-level.
  12. Lorax is one of the smartest Bills of all time. His football IQ is just off the charts. He doesn’t always make the play but he always knows the play to make, if that makes sense. He’ll be a great coach or executive someday.
  13. Every week the team playing AGAINST the Bills fights hard to make contested catches. Must be nice.
  14. You don’t zay...
  15. I do not understand what John Miller's problem is. He is better than that - something is wrong with him. Could be mental.
  16. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/03/tensions-seem-to-be-rising-between-zimmer-defilippo/ “What do you think you need to do to get the offense back to rolling a little bit better?” Zimmer was asked by reporters. “Same thing I have been saying all year,” Zimmer said. “Do you think you ran the ball enough?” “No.”
  17. Consider also that they once had two starting cornerbacks named Light and Fair and they were both bad.
  18. Teller has been inconsistent but he's not the issue - John Miller is. His performance on Sunday - which made me so irate in my drunkenness that I deservedly incurred a warning point - was one of the worst performances by an offensive lineman I've ever seen. He was the worst player on the field against the Jets. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets deactivated this weekend.
  19. Zimmer basically told the media the other day that DeFilippo was refusing to do that Zimmer asked, so this is hardly a surprise.
  20. Theyd have to, in order to support a team that bad for that many years.
  21. At some point you need to stop looking for the elusive, objective “it” factor and just decide that your QB has enough tools to build around and win games with. That’s really it.
  22. Yes. One of my best buddies is a Lions fan, we’ve been watching games together for years. They are the same franchise. The “highlight” was the Joey Harrington/Rob Johnson Era.
  23. Kind of like you and Tyrod?
  24. Holding the ball long is not necessarily a bad thing - he's not taking a record number of sacks, and he's letting the downfield routes materialize - we just have to see what happens when defenses start taking away his comfort zones. The Patriots game will be a good window.
  25. I don't see how either of you could be "right" at this point - it's just too early to tell, you really can't evaluate most rookie QBs until defenses start making adjustments against them and until they've had a full NFL offseason - yesterday the Jets took away the play action and the result was a mixed bag, not great but not nearly as bad as it could've been. I loved Allen's short game yesterday, he's hitting the 12 yard curls with precision and there was a sprint out pass they called, where he ran to his left and fired a bullet at the sticks, that blew me away. He is still adding elements to his game. But we just don't yet know what we have, and we really won't have a good sense of it until October of 2019.
