And Rizzi looks like he'll end up with Green Bay.
I'm wondering whether McBeane is seen as being on thin ice heading into 2019 - win or else. Would make it harder to attract coaches.
He’s obviously right - the Pegulas thought they could stroll into the NFL with no guidance other than the snake oil salesman Brandon. The fans are still paying for the owners’ decision to learn on the job. All of the personnel mistakes we’ve seen during their tenure - and there have been many - stem from their lack of experience and false confidence that the business of football would be easy to figure out.
Maybe Harbaugh has enough attention to detail to make sure plays get in to the QB before 4 seconds are left on the clock. Rex didn't. A careful head coach deals with that issue.
Whoa whoa WHOA!
LOTS going on here - changing fonts, changing type sizes, weird highlighting, a Maya Angelou reference, and "head couch"!
You get my vote for Post of 2019 so far - but it's early.
I think it's kind of refreshing that the league has moved away from retreads this offseason - lots of young offensive-oriented minds are being given opportunities - the results will be mixed, for sure, but at least it'll be something new in a league where innovation has been hard to find over the last 20 years or so.
He's also the right body type to counter the trend towards permanent nickel/dime defense that we're seeing. Defenses are smaller and faster, not the worst time to be able to run heavy between the tackles.
