  1. Folks who quote the entire OP for a one sentence response should be tarred and feathered.
  2. Lawrence not Wilkins.
  3. Sure - if this franchise is trying to set some sort of record for trading away good LTs.
  4. Keep in mind that 2020 is supposed to be a really bad year for offensive linemen. This is the year to scoop one, especially if you can grab a decent TE in later rounds.
  5. I don’t believe you.
  6. Eh you may be right. Some of us (myself included) probably need to stop opining that McBeane can’t afford to be taking risks - you’re probably more correct in saying that they can’t afford NOT to... Kearse is an interesting comp - freak was a great name for him - I remember him chasing down receivers 25 yards downfield, he played with his hair on fire when he came into the league. If only Clowney had Kearse’s mentality... But back to Metcalf, man I don’t see it. I see the explosiveness sure, but he is so stiff and has decent (at best) hands... if they’re focused on adding an explosive playmaker on offense why not take Hollywood Brown, he can take the top off of a defense and has shown legit production... Metcalf just doesn’t seem built for the modern game, to me. But you’re right about the concept - a bunch of Jonah Williams or Christian Wilkins drafts will get you fired, ultimately, even if you get to join the Dick Jauron Genial Ex-Coach Alumni Group.
  7. He had some injury issues for sure, but when he was healthy he was a solid RT. But top ten? Take the best right tackle in the game, whomever that is. Are they worth a top ten pick? I'm really not sure.
  8. Can't I just enjoy Draft Week in peace?
  9. They have been doing it for a couple decades.
  10. I think Metcalf is a serious option - at the top half of Round 2. My bold prediction is that he falls out of the first round entirely. As far as his prospects go, I think he'll flame out like Stephen Hill.
  11. Albert Breer and Peter King agree. If the draft shakes out like it's looking, the Bills absolutely need to trade back if possible - someone like the Giants, Broncos or Redskins might be willing to come up for a QB. Staying at 9 to take a tight end or right tackle is pretty much worst case scenario for me.
  12. Seems like nearly every year the Jets force themselves to take an interior lineman and end up having to let the previous guy walk because they’re overloaded at the position. They did this with Mo Wilks and Richardson. Let them do it again with Q or Oliver - I don’t see them giving Leonard Williams and another interior DT each a $100m contract in 3-5 years.
  13. It’s almost worse if he didn’t take plays off - because I never saw him actually make a play...
  14. Good stuff as always. Totally agree on Haskins - I don’t see a modern nfl quarterback there, he simply cannot move or play off-script.
  15. Oy - appreciate the work you put in every year - this would end up like Whaley’s last real draft. Wilkins is a similar player to Shaq Lawson in that he excels at nothing and probably has hit his ceiling already, meaning he never makes it to a second contact here.
  16. What is wrong with some parents?
  17. Really - Holyfield? He will be lucky to be drafted. If it weren't for his name, he wouldn't be talked about at all. He is slow, stiff, and not instinctual - basically just a battering ram with a famous dad.
