  1. He couldn’t pull the trigger in time to make sure they got Dillard and they got leapfrogged. But still...
  2. Agreed. If they are on the losing end of epic blowouts like 2018 and Allen doesn't show improvement, McD is in real trouble.
  3. Um, what? I wasn't using it as humor. The poster proposed an arm wrestling match... Also you should chill. The world isn't going to calibrate itself to your sensitivity level.
  4. Such different players. Bruce played the game like Von Miller, with speed and quicks, but at 290 lbs. He had a ballerina's bend. There will never be another like him. That said, Reggie was probably more fearsome. A quick LT (like Richmond Webb) could sometimes neutralize Bruce. White just lined up and dominated whomever was in front of him, with pure power. He was a beast.
  5. You don't think the Bills were emotionally ready for the first Super Bowl? They DOMINATED that game. They were tired by the time Mark Ingram needed to be tackled. But they were ready to play and win that game.
  6. What about the fact that, as a direct result of that trade, they spent picks and money on Kelvin Benjamin and Corey Coleman (who got like $4 from Terry P. for about 2 weeks of preseason work)?
  7. You know I agree with you there. Sean didn’t think he could coach Sammy. Gave me real concerns about the “process” and Sean’s overall confidence level. That trade was a huge mistake.
  8. Feels like the end of training camp around here - we need to start hitting other teams...
  9. That organization may be the most dysfunctional in all of pro sports.
  10. Agreed - but again, if you're going to gamble, at least use your dice roll on a guy whose skill set matches the modern game. Gambling in the Age of Offense that a 6'5'' plodding WR will suddenly rediscover his love for the game is simply... idiotic.
  11. At the time, it was widely known that Benjamin was a fat toad in a league trending towards speed and versatility, and that the team that drafted him was ready to cut ties. What else was there to know? It was a horrible trade both in its strategy and its outcome.
  12. I think his point about Ford, and he has convinced me with this take, is that in Brady’s division you can’t afford to hit singles and doubles on draft day - you’ve got to hit early on premium positions or you’re dead out of the gate. I’m afraid he’s right.
  13. That bike is still suffering from PTSD.
  14. I've seen Art Brut in concert a couple of times - that was enough. Their schtick is entertaining but wears old after repeated listens. Not sure that's what you're citing them for in this thread but it might work...
  15. He said “two things” but only listed one?
  16. Interesting... I could see it.
  17. This is a phenomenon which transcends football - people see chaos and destruction all around them and feel an innate need to ascribe it to the omniscient workings of an unseen force of good (or evil, depending). It's a basic human tendency. It happens with the Bills, it happens in certain theological hallways, it happens with conspiracy theories. There exists a deep human need to ascribe meaning and a plan to something that, by almost any measure, lacks the same.
  18. I mean maybe it's not a GREAT apology but...
  19. Come on. There was good discourse back and forth - would hate to see it reduced to "you're not a real fan if you're critical of the product."
