  1. no he didn’t. What is he, a Scooby Doo villain? Nobody talks that way.
  2. Odd, odd franchise in almost every respect.
  3. Fad diets, workout routines, personal finances, other peoples’ kids and the weather are all in the mix as well. Just horrible, tedious conversation topics. I’m sorry, I really don’t care what your kids did this summer or what stocks you invest in.
  4. I think he’d be happy to stay in Texas - but they don’t want to pay him. That’s the whole issue.
  5. Zero state income tax = huge advantage for Clowney on a $140 million contract with $55 million guaranteed or whatever it is he’ll get.
  6. I’m all about Israeli cous cous. The other kind of cous cous is terrible. I’ll grab a bunch of fresh-picked carrots at the farmer’s market and roast them up, while taking the stems and blending them into a pesto (olive oil, garlic, almonds or walnuts or pine nuts, cheese if you want). Then I toss the cooked cous cous in the pesto with the roasted carrots. Pack it all into a round bowl and top with the serving platter, then carefully turn the platter upside-down and remove the bowl and you’ve got a perfect mound of carrot pesto cous cous salad. Line the rim of the platter with fresh pita, veggies, whatever.
  7. Um, this is where we post our unpopular opinions yes Bill? Put your pistol back in its holster.
  8. They were protesting police brutality not the military or the flag, our idiot president successfully coopted the issue to fire up his (easily incited) base.
  9. I want Zay off of this team... ZaySAP.
  10. Many Bills fans have become fantasy football enthusiasts who enjoy possibility more than actuality. The off-season and draft have become the Super Bowl. Couple that with a lurking paranoia that whatever decision the team makes will be the wrong one, many fans prefer indecisiveness to action.
  11. Taking the guided tour of the football stadium in Dallas and posting my thoughts about it.
  12. Kinda reminds me of this: Hilarious Yelp reviews of National Parks
  13. Bills fans would be jealous that he gets to quit...
  14. His tackling technique still worries me - he nearly injured himself seriously the other night with a ridiculous shoulder-first dive...
  15. Amazing that they are still trying to find a punter after like six years of looking.
  16. The ultimate selfish me-first move, putting your own interests well above everyone else’s. And by that I mean, Adam Schefter’s decision to send that Tweet during the Colts’ preseason game.
  17. Wawrow said upthread it likely ain’t happening.
  18. It’ll be Philly. Alshon or Peters or someone similar.
  19. Alshon Jeffrey for Clowney would also make a TON of sense.
  20. Part of it was just his style of play too. Luck was never going to be a dink-and-dunk QB. More than any other QB of the modern era, his game was always about hanging around in the pocket waiting for deep routes to develop and open up. Frankly he was the best at it I’ve ever seen. And he ran like a running back, taking a lot of contact with his style (in college too). He was a throwback from a different era. Not sure a well-built line (which as of last year, they have) would’ve saved him.
  21. The Colts aren’t in as bad a spot as they’d have been a decade ago. There is a bumper crop of QB talent that has been entering the league and the next few QB classes look solid as well - we’re seeing something of a renaissance for the position. Luck’s salary goes off their books, they have deep talent at other positions (including the best interior lineman in the game and one of the best inside linebackers), their owner is committed to winning and they have a solid coaching staff finally. This year may be rough for them especially if players check out mentally given the timing of all of this, but I suspect they’ll be competitive sooner rather than later. What pisses me off is that this helps Bill O’Brien’s Texans team, which I despise.
  22. Dude has been groomed to be an NFL QB his entire life.
