  1. So the Giants boards have their own versions of Gugny and Teddy KGB, big whoop.
  2. That was my exact reaction - how does this guy learn the plays?? He's illiterate.
  3. I’ll tell you, if you tried to figure out what this thread was about by just reading the last several pages, you’d be looooooooost.
  4. We saw this exact play on his college highlight reel - a violent explosion off of the snap, followed by a melee which leaves a guard or center in a heap, followed by a ferocious burst towards a terrified QB. Darnold missed an open receiver on that play as a result of Oliver's pressure. Oliver's quick step is going to make Shaq Lawson a lot of money this year - Lawson doesn't have a quick step at all, but he's tenacious and will get a lot of cleanup opportunities this season as a result of the chaos Oliver causes at the line. Not for nothing - there were rumors that Gregg Williams was pounding the table for the Jets to draft Oliver over Q and he was overruled. You have to think he's pissed after Sunday - and Gregg never forgets a grievance (he keeps files on people, for chrissakes). Couple that with the fact that Gase is probably pointing fingers at Gregg for the way the Jets lost in the 4th Quarter and the Meltdown in the Meadowlands is well underway...
  5. The officiating was really bad yesterday. The refs were probably practicing for when we play New England. That wasn't a safety. The Jets were running pick plays all day (it was finally called on the touchdown play after McD lost his sh-- at the refs). The taunting call was bogus.
  6. Looking at the smaller stuff - - his touch pass to Beasley which Beez dropped was similar to the lob to Sweeney in the preseason - seems to be a touch throw he’s been working on and it’s a nice addition to his repertoire - footwork seemed much better, especially on throws to his left - last year he’d have a wide stance which would lead to serious misses, today I noticed tighter footwork which led to much better ball placement - noticed several instances where he kept his eyes downfield and looked for late-breaking routes to develop - last year he would’ve tucked and run - he paid much more attention to what the defense was doing pre-snap, actually changing plays and calling protections. He also understands down and distance considerations. FWIW, Tyrod never got to either of those points here.
  7. Levi Wallace. LEVI WALLACE.
  8. Also, the rookie class (Oliver, Singletary, Sweeney) played a big part in this win, as did the free agent class.
  9. Honestly? Allen makes me want to watch next week. I just love watching the kid - can’t wait to see what he does next. Been a long time since I’ve felt that way and yes, it’s that simple - it’s kind of all that matters when it comes to entertainment like football.
  10. The Patriots have basically run out of on-field challenges - they are bored - this is another mountain to climb for them. As for their fans - when you assemble a dream team it’s just less fun. Winning brings relief, not elation. You were SUPPOSED to win.
  11. And he created a blueprint for other NFL players to use - the NBA playbook for sometime now - this will be repeated.
  12. Have you been to New Jersey? Everything - I mean EVERYTHING - is loud and tasteless. They are horrible, reckless drivers who swerve in and out of lanes just to scratch their ADD itches. The whole state smells like a port-a-potty.
  13. The Patriots have been taking advantage of other teams’ dysfunction for nearly two decades. Bad owners hiring bad managers make bad decisions that end up working well for New England.
  14. This thread needs a good shower.
  15. Which he is. He reports to Gruden, which is now obvious. He’s a scout, that’s it.
  16. Has Mike Mayock ever had to manage employees and a brand, in his life? He seems totally in over his head to me.
  17. I don’t think anyone involved really cares about the taping. Viewed another way it could be looked at as a mercurial, talented individual trying to put closure on an absurd situation by folding it into his brand. Times have changed, that’s for sure. I’m not defending the guy - but I don’t see this video as a big deal.
  18. I’d be more concerned about Daboll than Allen if we saw that kind of display.
  19. Based on that article it was Davis who destroyed the Raiders. Which supports the Ben McAdoo Theory: anyone who sports a psychopath's haircut probably shouldn't be running a football team.
  20. Bears v. Packers in about 30 minutes. Enough with the AB reality TV show - anyone wanna discuss the game? IT’S FINALLY HERE!
