  1. Yes, but they also have been investing their high picks on that side of the ball, at the expense of other opportunities (rhymes with LaPomes). And they are going to need an elite passrusher to get to elite status. Clooney would’ve been a real difference-maker here.
  2. That too. Daboll seems to take forever trying to call the perfect play - but Allen plays much better when he can see the defense in advance.
  3. I’m not sure whose dream it is - I’ve been wondering aloud whether Daboll wants to prove to the league he knows how to implement the New England offense, so as to set himself up for a head coaching opportunity this offseason - the Belichick coaching tree keeps getting hired, he may be trying to strike while the iron is hot.
  4. Heavy feet. I don't see that changing. He's a guard.
  5. But this game was lost by a few plays - and could've been won had a few more plays been made. Zay dropped a pass that hit him in the hands. He failed to have the situational awareness to fight back for the ball and/or pull the DB out of bounds on the last INT. Those were important plays that could've changed the outcome of the game. On an opportunity cost basis, Zay Jones is the worst player in the NFL at any position. He actually gets opportunities (unlike, say, Nate Peterman) and continues to squander them. It's amazing that he continues to get them.
  6. I didn’t see tackling being an issue outside of a few plays but against Derrick Henry they’d better be ready to wrap up.
  7. I’ve never heard of you
  8. You realize you’ve been posting that same exact post here every day for the past sixteen years?
  9. If John Brown switches the ball to his other (sideline-facing) hand, he’s in position to stiff-arm Gilmore and probably scores. Fundamentals like that - and like noticing the uncovered gunner - separate well-coached teams from poorly-coached ones.
  10. Facts are facts (for most of us).
  11. As I said elsewhere - Al Riveron is the second least-qualified person to hold an important office in this country. He’s an absolute disgrace.
  12. He is the worst player in the nfl at any position. Prove me wrong.
  13. So - sure enough, Edmunds proved me wrong yesterday. He FINALLY put his nose and pads down and got violent. That was the game I’ve been waiting for. For the first time in his career (from my perspective), he looked like a complete MLB yesterday. Hopefully he keeps it up. He can be elite.
  14. I am not surprised to hear this - I can often tell pre-game whether a QB is dialed in. Rob Johnson used to have a “lost at sea” look in his eyes during pregame warmups and it carried over to the games. I’ll keep saying it: as talented as Josh Allen is, he needs to grow up if he’s going to take the next step.
  15. Again: super unimpressed with the new coaching hires (oline and special teams). The line hasn’t played to its talent, and teams have been a trainwreck - including not even noticing the unguarded gunner yesterday. McD needed to nail those coaching hires and it seems that he failed.
  16. He’s also a serial fumbler. The entire offense right now is built around his legs and it’s a recipe for trouble. Either way it’s just not sustainable.
  17. I don’t quite get the tagging on Daboll - they had what, 400 yards of offense?
  18. Vrabel runs the exact same defense so it’s a great opportunity for Josh to take a mulligan and go out there and ball. He was awful today - if it were me, I’d be chomping at the bit to give it another go.
  19. It is Quincy Carter/Aaron Brooks-level stupidity. He’s going to run out of chances if he keeps it up.
  20. Isn’t the biggest takeaway from today’s game that Brady looks to be in decline? Almost no downfield passing. Every time he had to move and re-set, he was off. He looks weaker and slower to me and it’s about time. This is HUGE.
