  1. Run the ball Brian. Stop trying to impress - just win the game.
  2. Shaq is the better and cheaper player right now.
  3. Knows the offense, plays special teams.
  4. Whole offense runs through him - they need him healthy ASAP.
  5. Not usually. This year looks to be different, that’s my strong prediction. Blank just gave an ultimatum which he NEVER does.
  6. Arians didn’t sign up for a rebuild - Evans isn’t going anywhere.
  7. Their current staff is going to be unemployed before the trade deadline.
  8. Again - they have the highest payroll in the league and Blank is about to depart from his MO and fire his coach (and possibly his GM) mid-season.
  9. Highest salary structure in the NFL I believe, and they’re about to rebuild under a new coaching staff.
  10. The thing is - you build your team to beat your divisional and conference opponents. The Rams’ divisional opponents primarily are rushing teams (SF and Seattle) and the NFC in general isn’t a huge passing conference except for the Rams and maybe New Orleans. Love the player and the value makes sense but I question the strategy. Again: does Marrone survive to 2020?
  11. That’s realistic Kirb?? There is zero chance McBeane trades Ford halfway into his rookie season. I’d trade a 4th to Atlanta for Austin Hooper.
  12. So does Marrone survive to 2020?
  13. Former GM Mike Lombardi: https://theathletic.com/1292872/2019/10/14/andy-reid-chiefs-pace-of-game-week-6-texans/ How the Rams gave Jared Goff that huge contract (four years, $134 million) I will never understand. The Rams knew that their head coach Sean McVay was hiding the faults of Goff with his offensive system, and now McVay can no longer keep opponents from attacking Goff in the right manner. The 49ers are for real, and as I wrote about on Friday, I consider them to be the best team in the NFC, but for them to hold the Rams’ offense with Cooper Kupp (remember, everyone said losing Kupp was the reason Goff struggled last year) to 56 yards passing is a colossal indictment of Goff.
  14. He’s just not that good. McVay has been scheming to cover up his deficiencies but I think the book is out there now - I predict he’s hit his ceiling and he’ll soon go the Kirk Cousons route - occasional monster games but the norm will be flameouts.
  15. Rams can survive this trade. What they can’t survive is paying a bottom-15 quarterback $25m/year or whatever it is they’re paying Goff to suck. That’s going to kill them.
  16. Actually it’s about protecting field position but the point stands.
  17. Austin Hooper too. I’d take either or both.
  18. Yup. He is playing really well right now. He’s going to get replaced AGAIN by the number one overall pick in 2020, which will make for a fascinating career story especially if he goes on to have a solid career himself. I think he’d be a great fit as Rivers’ backup and eventual replacement or possibly taking Carr’s job and running Gruden’s offense.
