Bell to the Bills would tip the whole division in our favor. The Jets would be announcing to their locker room and the league that they're in full rebuilding mode under Gase - they'd implode for 2-3 years. The Dolphins are already there. Bell would force the Patriots to actually gameplan against the Bills on defense and would give Daboll a true chess piece to move around. He'd also take a TON of pressure off of Allen.
I'd trade a 2nd and 3rd for him in a heartbeat and never look back. That said, I don't want Singletary (or Gore, but less likely) going to the Jets in return.
Huh. For some reason I have it in my head that on third and long specifically, Tyrod's #s were almost historically bad, and Allen's are significantly better. I'll do my best to dig up the stats.
You might want to take a look at 3rd down completion/1st down percentage. I can't dig up the stats right now but that's really where you should see a clear difference in Allen's favor.
Who was on the field for those runs? Which of Star, Phillips, Oliver, LoRax and Marlowe? Very curious because from what I saw, Oliver was actually our best and only run defender yesterday.
I keep saying it - Derek Wolfe is reportedly available - I’ve been high on him for years - that’s the player we should trade for - he’d fix a lot of problems and instantly become a fan favorite (IMO he’s a Kyle Williams clone). Probably could get him for a fourth.
Trading a 4th for Derek Wolfe would help. But in reality it’s the scheme - need to be willing to take chances with the middle deep zones and move the linebackers up.
Tre is a soft player. He’s insanely athletic and the instincts are mainly there but he’s weak and soft and doesn’t like getting dirty. Let him chase QBs. Enough of this crap.
Whole team is bad. LMAO at the one issue posts. Coaching, talent, QB play, defense that is soft up the middle - all of it. Terrible performance and the fans deserved better.
