  1. I don’t know if I can watch years and years of Allen misfiring all over the field. Come on, Josh. Set your base.
  2. Gotta fire the teams coach. It’s over for him.
  3. This is why Allen cannot have entire drives where he can’t hit the broad side of a barn. It’s not going to work. Also fire the special teams coach.
  4. There was a red zone play last week that was designed to go to him but got blown up, I don’t remember how but I could tell from the pre-snap that they were targeting him on a seam route. And he was open. But I’m just basing my comment off his look in a uniform, not on his running speed. He looks like he’s been drinking beer on the sofa for the past year, not that there’s anything wrong with it. I remember him being svelter in Cincy.
  5. Honestly he looks out of shape to me.
  6. Tomlin should be fined for calling a screen pass with 8 seconds left down two scores. He was asking for trouble and I don't understand why coaches do that stuff.
  7. Pouncey has a history with the league and is too eager to turn anything into a melee. He and his brother rolled around with Hernandez in Florida. There's more to his suspension than just last night.
  8. I think the Steelers are punished more by allowing Rudolph to play...
  9. Ted Danson is a national treasure.
  10. Has anyone asked: why was Tomlin running a play there? I never understand why coaches run pointless plays with the time expiring. Kitchens did it last week at the end of the half, handing the ball off with time running out. You’re just asking for injuries or worse. Why do coaches do this?
  11. Kelly I had the same though - the NFL will find a way to avoid doing the right and obvious thing - they will somehow screw this up. Hope I’m wrong. Also, the fact that the Browns players, to a man, condemned this, is good for the team long-term. Kitchens will be fired soon and if they get the next hire right, watch out.
  12. Not psyched about this. Tanking doesn’t really work, and Fitz is helping Flores build confidence in the program. They’ll still land a blue chip QB.
  13. Maybe it’s as simple as: it’s been a looooong time since Josh made a special, game-changing play. Fans are hungry and starting to get impatient. Need to see some magic soon.
  14. Pretty sure everyone agrees with this, including Allen, his coaches and the GM...
  15. Or potential blue chip WRs in Metcalf and Hardman.
  16. This is where I'm at - it's a processing speed issue. Tough to correct, but not impossible.
  17. Same here, although I continue to think he's not being put in the best situation given the lack of playmakers. That said, his problems all stem from slow processing speed, which was an issue in college and is a hard thing to correct as a pro. His accuracy issues result from poor mechanics which result from delayed processing - he has less time to set his base, because it takes him too long to recognize where to throw it. He's just not reading defenses well enough or quickly enough and it's troubling that it's still going on after 20 games. Should he get another 20 games? Absolutely. But as I've said, in the meantime I'd draft or sign a developmental guy, someone with lesser tools but faster processing speed (a Minshew/Kyle Allen type).
  18. Right. I'm not a football expert at all. But from experience, throwing a football (or a frisbee) on a deep line to a moving target is hard enough - but it gets really tough when you don't know which way the guy is going to break. That's why you would prefer to have the route oriented toward a particular flag or the goalpost. It looked to me like Allen threw that one straight on the line McK was running, and that if McK had just kept running that line it might've hit him in stride. But the way that play worked out suggests to me it hasn't been practiced enough...
  19. Like this play? Sorry I don't know how to embed Tweets Looks like Allen throws it to where McKenzie starts out running, but the McKenzie veers from his route and can't seem to track the ball at all. It's a very odd route. Was it supposed to be an outside post?
