  1. You are vastly oversimplifying it and it's partially because you're in a 2-0 frenzy this week and need to calm down a bit. It's perfectly ok to have a measured discussion about football, eball, even with the Bills off to a hot start. You're misunderstanding what FO does. They didn't simply say "he's inaccurate" and roll from there. They create (and constantly tweak, perhaps unlike PFF) predictive models based on historical performance. What they did was say, based on Josh Allen's college comparables, here is what our model predicts - and it wasn't an optimistic prediction. Predictive models aren't 100% accurate and, often, they need to be tweaked when an outlier like Josh comes along. I suspect, if Allen develops into a consistent high-performer, FO will acknowledge as much (as they started to this week) and take a hard look at how their model may have missed and what they can do to tweak it. Not everything is black and white. Life is complex. There are a bunch of very vocal posters here who HATE nuance more than anything else and it's exhausting.
  2. Right. They factor in both the result and the intended result. It's a much better model (though still not perfect). That said, I'm amazed to see Josh ranked #1 this week in QB DVOA, never thought I'd see the day.
  3. You are talking about PFF, not FO, right?
  4. He made a real impact against the Dolphins!
  5. Carr is dealing.
  6. “They can’t stop Josh Allen, the Miami Dolphins - they have no answer for him.”
  7. Does this mean we should take your view about Edmunds with a grain of salt?
  8. Would pay good money to see a pull-up contest between Levi Wallace and Casey Middelstadt.
  9. Probably an over-reaction by the coaches after the blitzes kept backfiring but goal was not to let them score quickly.
  10. Not the kind of offense we struggle with tbh. Big receivers with QBs who get the ball out quickly and throw jump balls give us fits - hence yesterday’s issues. Rams are more traditional, scheme vs talent, Bills match up better. It’s odd but that’s how I see it.
  11. If anything they were too aggressive on D yesterday. Really didn’t like the consistent double A-gap blitzes which Fitz kept burning them on. I think (without evidence) McD was livid at Frazier and became involved in the playcalling by the fourth quarter. They had no business blitzing up the middle and leaving the area inside the hashes exposed - that’s Fitz’s calling card. Baffled me.
  12. He can’t change direction quickly enough as it is, and it looks like he gained weight and is even more lumbering. Has had an even tougher time setting the edge so far this season.
  13. Spain was throwing pancakes. But he did get pulled for Bates at the end of the game, perhaps just rotating.
  14. Stared them down the whole time.
  15. Could’ve been winded or overheated.
  16. Multiple catches today that would’ve won the Houston playoff game.
  17. Honestly looked like the defender ran right into him and he put his shoulder out to protect himself. If he doesn’t do that he gets himself lit up so I’m not sure what they expect him to do. Maybe that’s the rule but if so it’s a bad rule. But I don’t think he “initiated” contact and also Jerome Boger is the worst referee in all of sports including pee wee football.
  18. Odds aren’t looking good for Knox making it as a TE.
  19. What I said in the injured linebackers thread - good that it happened early in the season and could force McD to let his offense win a divisional game on the road, which goes against all his natural instincts. IT IS TIME.
  20. Allen, Diggs, Motor, Bass, Addison
  21. Looked like Big Ben in his prime throwing to AB and Sanders.
  22. Forcing the ball to Diggs isn’t working.
