  1. Are the Patriots building an RPO-proof Defense?
  2. Perspective and humility, what a strange “argument.”
  3. He’s a touring comedian. Pretty sure he’s not getting gigs right now.
  4. Patton Oswalt said it best: ”Anne Frank spent 2 years hiding in an attic and we’ve been home for just over a month with Netflix, food delivery & video games and there are people risking viral death by storming state capital buildings & screaming, “Open Fuddruckers!””
  5. Americans act like spoiled toddlers when they’re told they’re not allowed to do things.
  6. Really Dave? A cat video?? If this place turns into my mom’s Facebook feed I’m out.
  7. And also, people will be smuggling alcohol into the stadium!
  8. Some of you will be seeing your first-ever Bills game!
  9. Hurts cannot read a defense post-snap. He simply can't do it. Can he learn to? Sure, but he's much more of a projection than Fromm. Better tools but far less skill right now.
  10. Fromm is not likely viewed as a potential lottery ticket starter. More likely, he’s viewed as a solid backup AND a potential bridge starter in the event Allen flames out - i.e., someone who could start for a year or two while the next high draft pick QB develops. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.
  11. McMahon’s job that year was not to lose. He had a couple of decent years as a game manager. He drew attention to himself by building a colorful brand and as a result he was overrated by some. He was not a good QB. He was replacement-level (and was quickly replaced).
  12. Good OP - solid effort and analysis. Too bad the rest of the posts in this thread haven’t measured up.
  13. They have NEVER had a real quarterback. I mean maybe Sid Luckman 70 years ago. In the modern era they’ve never had one. It’s an incredible run unrivaled in any sport - I’m struggling to think of a second-place organization for longest-running tenure without a great player in a key position. Maybe the Knicks and Center? Ewing was very good but never got them over the hump. Anyway, the Bears...
  14. All of this reminds me - where the hell has @BADOLBILZ been???
  15. Not necessarily - they could've had a Round 1 grade on both, with Dugger getting the higher grade.
  16. exactly - I wondered in another thread whether he’s trained in jiu jitsu - he seems to use similar leverage concepts.
  17. Justin Smith or maybe Aaron Smith. I wonder if AJ has trained in ju jitsu - he seems to use martial arts-based leverage concepts in his attack strategy. Looking forward to watching him.
  18. I like Davis. But Duvernay would fit the offense better and contribute right away. Ah well. Like the pass-catchers we've got now, now we need to coach up those rooks.
  19. Muti would’ve been an interesting get as well - if not for injury issues he’s a top interior lineman prospect - if he stays healthy he could end up being one of the steals of the draft. Would’ve been a fan favorite here. Ah well.
  20. I assumed Claypool second round... Man that would’ve been a good get. I like the receivers they drafted but he would’ve added a fun speed and YAC element to the offense - McKenzie but good.
  21. EPIC fail
  22. Peterman’s biggest problem was not his poor arm strength. It was his decision-making post-snap. The Peterman Experience (band name alert!) seems to have ruined some folks’ ability to evaluate QB play. Nate Peterman’s biggest problem was that he’d decide where he was throwing pre-snap, and then refuse to adjust no matter what happened post-snap. As a result he was incredibly reckless. His weak arm strength exacerbated the problem because he couldn’t use velocity to make up for his poor post-snap decisions. If Fromm is able to actually read a defense post-snap, he’s already in a different category than Peterman. Based on the clips I’ve been watching, Fromm is already light years ahead of Peterman when it comes to reacting to what the defense is actually doing. That’s not to say he’ll be any good in the NFL, but the Peterman comparisons are inapt. From McBeane’s perspective, I think they view Fromm as “The Real McCarron.” A High-character guy who can actually run the offense and play .500 ball if Allen misses time.
  23. Ricky Williams with less speed is a good comp. That Waldman video really highlights his elite lower body flexibility.
  24. Do we need a punter thread? Never thought it would come to that.
