  1. Oddly, doesn’t putting them on the same team devalue each of them a bit?
  2. And it’s a smart structure of offense for a rookie QB. Which they’re clearly going to have.
  3. You need to learn to read the room a bit.
  4. Makes the Milano signing more important.
  5. Sounds about right.
  6. That’s gotta be a big loss for Green Bay, no?
  7. He can still get quickly to the edge. Honestly that is all I care about at this point - someone who can make the defense run side to side - McKenzie is okay at that but he runs the same play every time for the most part (either the quick pitch or the fake quick pitch). Hunt adds more versatility in that he can run up between the tackles, catch passes out of the backfield etc. But the basic role is the same - move the linebackers side to side to open up the middle of the field a bit.
  8. They’ve been after Hunt for a few years now. He’s exactly what the offense needs.
  9. Pretty sure that’s their plan.
  10. Top 15 may be too steep for a move up but again this is the year to do it - they don’t have enough holes on the roster for a full slate of rookies and there will be teams trading down trying to acquire more cheap labor in a cap-crunched year.
  11. I might do the opposite - trade up for Jaycee Horn. @BillfromNYC might kill me but he’s the player I want. Long arms, killer instinct and great ball skills. Then use the rest of the picks on hybrid passrusher types and speed on offense. Find a guard in the 6th round or as a UDFA. The scouts and pro personnel guys really need to earn their salaries and justify the hype this offseason.
  12. The problem is the entire league is going to be trying to load up on cheap draft labor - trade downs will be harder and less lucrative this draft, I worry.
  13. Doesnt hurt that the reduced cap will result in a mad dash of musical chairs with the losers having to compete for jobs at the vet minimum while facing the prospect of moving their families during COVID. Not saying McBeane shouldn’t get some credit here but this isn’t your average offseason. Never been a riskier time to be a free agent vet.
  14. The "something" will likely mean having Cody Ford man the RT spot, which IMO was probably their plan no matter what but this move may solidify it.
  15. Seems like they were fully ready to let him walk and then he surprised them and offered to stay at a bit of a discount, and they figured they’d end up spending $3.5-$6M this year to replace him so why not spend a couple more million to get a known quantity (his cap hit for this year is under $10m I believe). Not an irrational process. The takeaway remains that they need to really start hitting more efficiently on their (post-2017) draft picks to fill other holes. They can’t afford any more Cody Fords or even Singletaries.
  16. Looks like Deebo in those highlights.
  17. Have to believe they are seriously considering Etienne. Taking a RB in rounds 1-3 three years in a row has to be unprecedented - and they'd better have a running game for the ages to show for it if they go that route.
  18. Fun to wonder about what Andre Ware could do in the modern NFL.
  19. Hot, in a 1986 RCA tube-powered television type way.
