  1. One of the best scramble drill WRs in the league so the fit makes sense.
  2. Kupp may be available for a 2nd with the Rams retaining some salary per PFT. He'd be insanely good on that Chiefs team...
  3. Exactly. Ownership was clearly supportive of them trying to get one of the top QBs in the 2024 draft despite the financial commitment to Jones - so it would make total sense for them to be given that same opportunity in 2025.
  4. Look at his sack numbers when healthy. Already has 4 this season.
  5. Okereke and Ojulari are really good players.
  6. Is he though? He has built a good defense or at least a good front seven. He has started to fix the offensive line (they’ve had some bad luck there), he made the right decision at running back, and drafted a true difference-maker at receiver. That last decision was probably the toughest but if you watched Hard Knocks they wouldn’t have been able to go up for Williams or Daniels and Maye wouldn’t be helping them right now. The roster isn’t terrible it’s just missing a QB who can overcome bad play calls or win games on his own. If you swap Allen for Jones I think you swap records.
  7. Overinvest in d linemen and running backs at the expense of speed and skill at the island positions.
  8. Gettleman KILLED them with that Barkley pick. Just brutal on so many levels including the fact that Barkely is/was really good - but it was still a horrible pick (not that the Maras will ever understand that). Gettleman is retired now but his stink pervades his two most recent organizations and also the Bills, who continue to follow much of his roster-building philosophy no matter how outdated it's been proven to be.
  9. I mean sure - but that can be hard to navigate in a storied family office environment where your bosses are the ones who bought into the QB in the first place, and a big part of the job interview was assuring them that you could make him successful. As someone said upthread they were almost destined to fail given the owners' fondness for Barkley and Jones going in. And you're a rookie HC and rookie GM - takes massive stones to go to the Maras and tell them, "Look, everything you've been doing and have been told for the past five to ten years has been wrong." I mean the record should make that obvious but that's not how it works in those businesses.
  10. I think some of it is just, when you have an ok, not great young QB and your organization hasn't had success in a long while, you're kind of screwed. You have to believe in the folks you've hired to develop said QB and you have to pay the going rate for what should be an ascending player at the most important position in pro sports, but your margin for error is really small and you could easily end up in QB purgatory - that's where the Giants are, along with the Dolphins, perhaps the Cowboys, and soon-to-be the 49ers. You're almost better off with a bad QB than an average one in the salary cap era.
  11. Are you apologizing to Badol?
  12. My biggest issue with this approach on D is that it lets young/backup QBs get into a rhythm and gain confidence early in games. Skylar Thompson in the playoffs for example.
  13. That's true but they also benefitted by a couple of bad drops by Ridley and an insane 4th down call by Callahan.
  14. Yup I got the impression that the Titans' entire gameplan on offense was to give some kind of fake or misdirection on every single play, and in the first half it worked like a charm.
  15. Agreed - they aggressively take the ball after winning the coin toss, Titans are on the road with a backup QB and their top CB injured, but then like you or someone else said they come out and call two failed runs up the gut and have to throw on third and long (and drop the throw), punt. That is just not how you start fast at home (esp. where the other team's strength is up the middle on defense).
  16. She says hi by the way.
  17. Fields would’ve housed that. Tomlin is bonkers if he doesnt switch.
  18. Keep working.
  19. And the sideline judge was two feet away! The issue with replay is that it’s just sending it over to other idiots to review the call on the field. Let the idiots on the field make the call if this is how it works.
  20. I have so moved on from the McBeane Regime regardless of whether they win today. I’m done with them.
  21. Missed tackles, can’t get off blocks, can’t keep track of the backside check down. Basic 101 defense they suck at.
  22. This team deserves nothing. Some of the dumbest coaches in the entire NFL.
