  1. Allen (bc of his MVP run) Shakir (already a legend in his young career, just love the player) Van Denmark (stepped up big time) Oliver (unblockable today) Von (lane discipline was awesome) Rapp and Hamlin (thought it was their best game as a tandem, by far) McD (going for it on 4th at the end shows growth; getting to 9-2 after turning over so much team captaincies is really impressive)
  2. One of the risks you take when you bring a guy in midseason is that he doesn't have the same investment in the team as his new teammates. Some guys are natural alpha competitors who will bring the fire wherever they go. Other guys... are like Amari.
  3. Thank you for vomiting.
  4. Last year was a joyless exercise from beginning to end - this season, while far from perfect (some big plays on offense would be cool), is so much more fun.
  5. Spector is always banged up.
  6. But it’s true - his legacy depends on at least getting to (and preferably winning, obviously) a Super Bowl.
  7. Virgil being able to contribute would be a major and much-needed win for Beane’s pro personnel dept. They have had a brutal run of free agent WR scouting.
  8. Most Colts fans look like thumbs.
  9. This team has more wrist injuries than an all-male prep school.
  10. I agree with you. Miami, they'd need to address the offensive line the right way this offseason - and then they'd need some real luck, because they're always one play away from disaster given Tua's injury history.
  11. This is the issue I have with them philosophically. The defense is designed to protect a big lead, but the offense isn’t designed well enough to go get one.
  12. The pro personnel dept has never been on the same exact page as the coaching staff under Beane. Rasul Douglas worked out, Daquan for awhile until he hit his wall this year, the rest of the FA/trades have been total busts. Hopefully Cooper changes that narrative a bit but man, does Beane piss away money.
  13. This. They are not winning enough of their individual matchups up front on defense to truly make a difference against the teams they’ll face in the playoffs. And who is the emotional leader of this defense? Who is setting the tone?
  14. No. Is this your “we quietly got better” thread redux?
  15. Yes! What the heck was that? How was Miami’s right guard able to start every play early yesterday? Was driving me nuts. They are going to need to beat one or both of the Ravens or Chiefs to get to the Super Bowl this year and both of those teams are running teams who can also kill you with the passing game. Not too different from Miami. They’d better fix whatever the issue is.
  16. Maybe time to start fattening up Epanesa again!
  17. Taron Bass Hollins Thats if for me. I thought Allen was off today.
  18. Slayton
  19. Slayton would’ve the guy.
  20. The Lions’ safety Branch just got ejected by Park Avenue for nearly the same hit. Some consistency would be nice.
  21. The problem is Amon-Ra St. Brown’s insane contract given to him by the Lions (dumb organizations to dumb things): 4 years, $120,010,000 with a whopping $77,000,000 guaranteed, average annual salary of $30,002,500.
