  1. There’s definitely something to that. Allen has played poorly but the receivers aren’t getting much separation to my untrained eye.
  2. Shhhhhhhhhhhh
  3. If you want confirmation of this, here is what John Mara had to say. You can almost picture Ralph and Mortimer Duke saying these things…
  4. Is this a variant Edmunds thread? They are mutating!
  5. This is a bizarre thread. Is anyone actually arguing that Allen is playing well? If so I must've missed it. It seems like everyone agrees that he's off - but there are folks who would like to start panicking now, and then the rest of us.
  6. He also brought in a bunch of vets and gave them leadership/captaincy roles to help instill his "culture" and then cut a bunch of them this offseason. Van Noy went off about it in August, he's not a fan...
  7. Thank you. This is exactly what I meant.
  8. He can’t - that’s a textbook example of a play where his height works against him. It’s too easy for a short ball carrier to stick his foot in the ground and use his leverage against Edmunds’ height. Big reason you don’t see many 6’5” MLBs.
  9. Yup it’s exactly what I said here:
  10. I am not exactly sure what this means. That said - for the Dolphins, getting demolished by a division rival in their home opener like that is potentially a huge turning point/setback for the organization. Not sure where they go from here. Think about this: they spent all offseason working on their defense solving Josh Allen and then lost 35-0 without Allen doing too much. Now they have to fix their entire offense, too. They're pretty screwed and it's a huge bonus for the Bills.
  11. Watch the throws again. Most of the time he’s fading away from “pressure” (real or imagined) and throwing off his back foot, sometimes lofting/feathering the ball to account for the earlier release. He doesn’t trust his protection.
  12. He just needs to play better.
  13. They’re playing ok. Devin has three fumbles in two games.
  14. It feels unsettling because not a single player on offense is playing at or above expectations through 2 games. Except maybe Knox, whose expectations were minimal.
  15. I don’t think anyone in this thread is in “listening mode.”
  16. The unseen hand.
  17. Again: a QB’s development - like most things in life - is rarely linear. That’s just not how it works. His line is not in game shape and you can tell it’s affecting his eyes, specially they’re dropping to the rush instead of the routes. He’s still working out chemistry with a new WR. Davis wasn’t able to play effectively today. And maybe he’s pressing a bit too. Wayyyy too early to worry about QB1.
  18. The most concerning thing besides his lack of durability is the poor pre-snap awareness. The Bills must’ve realized this week that Tua wouldn’t pay any attention to corners and safeties creeping in to blitz, they just kept dialing those up. Tua seemed utterly lost before his injury.
  19. Coach gave Edmunds a game ball??
  20. Thought the officials did a good job today overall.
  21. Not looking like Tua has “it.”
  22. QB development, like most things in life, is not linear.
