  1. Maybe Goodell doesn't appreciate some of the things that Gruden said about him and is a vindictive $%@$@? PFT is speculating that the releases have been selective, and that there are more - including, possibly, emails denigrating Mark Davis. They think Gruden may have resigned before those emails come to light. Regardless of the reason, I don't feel sorry for the guy. There are armies of middle-aged white men who are seeing the narrative shift on them late in their careers but who frankly should've known better. I get the "glass houses" thing and I'm not about to defend cancel culture. But in my experience (and I have a lot of it), the folks who get "cancelled" are usually complete a-holes who have no real allies left because of how they've treated everyone for years and years. They might not deserve to have their reputations sullied, and they might not actually be racists or misogynists, etc., but they probably deserved the comeuppance.
  2. And/or, instead of sending a formal memo announcing (retroactive) changes to their personal conduct policy to reflect updated societal mores, Gruden WAS the memo. Much easier.
  3. Agree about Diggs - thought he had his worst game as a Bill. On the deep pass he could’ve scored but he somehow forgot(?) there was a defender chasing him and slowed down. He dropped a pass on third down and otherwise had trouble separating. Just not sure what was going on with him.
  4. I think this proves, yet again, that nothing good has ever come from being friends with Bruce Allen.
  5. Folks are not talking enough about (i) last night’s likely implications for home field in the playoffs, and (ii) what beating a prime opponent in prime time on the road will do for the confidence of this team in its quest to go win a Super Bowl. Last night’s win was a huge milestone for McBeane’s program, aka “the Process.”
  6. I’m not worried about losses anymore - I’m worried about cheap shots and injuries, starting Monday night in Nashville. That team and their coach are dirty and it’ll be a miracle to come out of there healthy.
  7. Chiefs had ONE player from their 2021 draft in the lineup (Bolton). Bills’ first three draft picks from 2021 all had major roles in this game, plus Star came back quicker and more impactful.
  8. How often? Last time I’ve seen it was JJ Watt’s interception of EJ. Elite play.
  9. This - or put another way, Beasley was a beneficiary the last couple of years in the lack of a real tight end on the roster. Bills fans by and large do not understand the value of good tight end play - for good reason as we’ve literally never had one as a franchise. But having someone who can block in-line and run patterns to move safeties and create mismatches is invaluable for an offense. We have that now. Beasley does one thing well - and frankly he looks less good at it this year, for whatever reason (age, mental focus). Knox does two things well and makes Beasley somewhat expendable. Add in Sanders and the growing rapport he has with Allen and you’ve got a recipe for less Beasley. None of it has to do with his bizarre views on science/freedom or the fact that he looks like a truck stop hooker. As for shutting down his Twitter account - strikes me as more attention-seeking. But then again that’s all Twitter is, a megaphone for narcissists and lunatics. Good riddance.
  10. The Bills will be hosting several games in January - prepare yo’ selves.
  11. This just got serious. They’ve got my attention.
  12. Two runs and a sideline toss up to Diggs won’t get it done this drive. The Chiefs are stacking the line - quit turtling, guys. Go for the throat.
  13. Dawkins is a pile of garbage this year.
  14. Right now they don’t even have those decisions to make - they don’t have a single young player on offense besides Josh whom they’d need to worry about signing. Sad but true.
  15. WHY ARE YOU CHANGING UP THE ROUTINE
  16. Agree. Time to stick a cork in it.
  17. This, he’s part of their base defense. Basically the third linebacker.
  18. It helps that Levi is on a severely below-market contract.
  19. Right? Who the hell talks like that? What century is it!?
  20. Milano frustrates me.
  21. I think the 6th round pick compensation has more to do with the fact that he's in the final year of his contract and remains injured. He is very expensive for a half-year rental.
  22. One guy. Quit grievance-shopping.
