Josh looked really defeated in his press conference.
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to bostonadguy's topic in The Stadium Wall
It would be amazing to see what Reich could do with Josh and this offense. It’s hard for me to see a realistic path to this happening though. As for today and Josh’s presser… it’s all very strange. Aside from the obvious disappointment, the whole mood around the team seemed weird. We can tear down the scheme and the X’s and O’s (and it’s all valid) but this team put forth very little effort today. If they made contact with Mixon he carried them for another 10 yards. There was no ability to bring any receivers down at all. The OLine was on skates. It looked like they had no interest in winning whatsoever. McDermott was asked about the lack of energy in the presser and sort of sluffed it off and attributed it to the Bengals opening drive and getting into a rhythm early taking them out of the game a little bit. Even Josh in the postgame made a comment about “you can’t win them all” which sounded a little off key to me. I love Josh and I am in no way saying he doesn’t leave everything out on the field. We all had concerns about them not playing their best down the stretch, but this was a bizarre let down across the board. -
Hoping CBS brings better cameras this week
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
These days football is all about weird camera angles, pushing the pile like a rugby scrum, waiting 5 seconds into the play to see if it’ll be blown dead because a coach actually called timeout, waiting 5 seconds after the play clock hits zero to see if they will call delay of game, etc. -
“Someone grab a fire extinguisher! Because Dawson Knox is as hot as a firecracker!” I’m with you on this… Brown isn’t my favorite either. Even on OBL with Tasker he gets worked up and drops weird sayings. He and Murph both seem like nice guys, but I’m not sure either does a great job.

I think there's a scenario where the Titans, Jags, Steelers, Browns, Jets, Dolphins, and Patriots all finish tied at 8-9. If that happens, the Titans would win the South and the other 6 teams would be tied for 2 wildcard spots (assuming we add an 8th team). That's probably not a very likely scenario, but no matter what happens there should be a lot of scenarios added to the mix this weekend.

There was some chatter earlier that an unnamed higher up had indicated they will remove a game from the Chiefs record (either the Denver game last week or through a random number generator) for the purposes of evening the three teams with a 16 game record. It seemed like a legit report, but I have to lean toward what you are saying here Turk. I have a hard time not seeing the league go to win pct. to seed the Bills/Bengals/Chiefs. More than likely the Chiefs win and we end up with the 2 seed. It's not perfect, but it minimizes disruption throughout the rest of the league. The only other issue being the Ravens will no longer have the ability to win the North.

Am I understanding that in the event that KC loses to Vegas, the Bills/Bengals would compete in what amounts to a play in game? And then an extra team that was already eliminated would essentially move in to the bracket? If I have this correctly, I would not be for this. I think they will default to win pct. or even get to a coin flip, before they would cause this much disruption to the playoff bracket.

Fantastic work! I haven't been able to bring myself to post, since I sat in front of the TV Monday night in stunned silence. I still feel unbelievably numb over this whole tragedy. Like all of us, I'm just hoping to get more good news about Damar today. This video sums up the feelings and puts things into a perspective that I am sure so many of us have. Thanks for making this!

YE OLE believes that the Ravens would win the division in this case. The Ravens beat the Bengals in October so they would split in this case. But the Ravens are 3-0 in division right now and the Bengals are 2-3. That should give the Ravens the tiebreaker if they both finish 12-5 and knock the Bengals to the WC.

NFL Week #14 - Jets at Bills - Post game thread
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Any of you gents know what’s going on with the postgame show on WGR? Every few weeks or so all I can get streaming on the Audacy app or through their website is national coverage after the game. Most weeks the post game comes on without issue. Anyone else dealing with this? -
Week 12: Bills at Lions on Thanksgiving
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
You gents remember that time Klein was garbage and then absolutely wrecked a couple games and was back to back defensive player of the week or some such shenanigans? He was in the backfield every other play blowing it up.
