  1. I could almost believe this, given some of the moves this FO is making. However, as others have pointed out here, if there were any GM's that would've given up a 3rd rounder or better for Lynch, why didn't THEY call? That's a 2 way street, and it doesn't make any sense to me why a team that wanted Lynch so badly that they're wringing their hands over it now, wouldn't have taken the initiative to call and inquiry about his availability when it was clear he was on the trading block since we drafted Spiller back in April.
  2. I've been thinking the same thing, although I think he did make a play or two yesterday. At this point, however, I truly believe that coaching is seriously flawed on that side of the ball right now. It's clear that guys are out of position all over the place on most every play. I saw in another post that someone at the game heard Stroud come to the sideline and shouting something to the effect of "Do we even know the f*** is going on out there?" Something's got to give... this team would be far from the worst team in the league right now with even an avg. defense.
  3. Gabe Northern just called you a dipstick!
  4. I'm curious to see what Brohm can do as well, but I've done a complete 180 on how I felt about Fitzpatrick a month ago. I can't see pulling the guy right now. In the 3 games he's started this season he's completing 61% of his passes for 595 yds, 7 TD's/2 INT's (QB rating of 99.9). Our offense is averaging 23.3 ppg with Fitz under center. He definitely has a couple of "Fitz" moments here and there (ie the errant screen passes yesterday) but overall, this team's offense is playing well enough to win games. When is the last time we had a QB throw for 7 TD's over a 3 game stretch? Ironically, I think if Brohm came in and put up equal production as Fitzpatrick, we'd be happy to move forward with him as our starter.
  5. This is directed to Ray and those of you who were at the game. Is what I'm seeing on TV accurate, in terms of coverage? It seems that we keep getting LB's covering WR's down field, consistently enough that it seems by design. If you were at the game, I'd like your thoughts on this as you'd have a much better view of what was going on. It seems like, the strength of our defense (the secondary) isn't even around on many pass attempts. What are they doing out there?
  6. YE OLE will tell you this... our talent is far from outstanding on the defensive side of the ball, BUT... it's much better than what we are seeing out there. This defense is the stuff of legend right now in how bad it is. As bad as some of our defenses have been in the past we've NEVER in franchise history allowed 4 consecutive 30+ point games... until today. What's more is, I'm constantly seeing plays where Poz or Kelsay are chasing other teams #1 WR's downfield. WTF is that?! How many times did Sims-Walker or this Davis cat make catches downfield today with Poz trailing 10 yards behind the play? It's happening way too often for this not to be by design. At worst, our secondary looked to be very talented coming into this season, and they've suddenly been rendered completely useless. The players are an issue... the talent's not great, but it's certainly not as bad as this garbage. There's clearly no ability right now to put guy's into position to make plays on that side of the ball. Offensively, we're becoming more watchable than this team has been in sometime, but the regression on defense has made it impossible to win any games in the forseeable future. We are not going to win when we are giving up 30-40 points every single week.
  7. YE OLE is going with One Night in Bangkok by the legendary Murray Head. I can just picture Buddy and Chan karaokeing this after yet another loss. This was a tough one though, because I could also see them going a good job with the Kasas masterpiece: Carry on My Wayward Son
  8. As the OP explained, he was the perceived owner, but unbeknownst to everyone he, in fact, did not own a majority share as everyone had believed. Thus it was shocking when he was being escorted out. OP was saying "what if" something like that was the case here, where unbeknownst to all of us Ralph, in fact, no longer had a majority share of this team.
  9. If only someone had thought of this before...
  10. Buddy had a trade all mapped out in his head, but then he got to the fax machine to send in the paperwork and got a blank stare on his face. After a minute and a half of this nonsense, he forgot what the trade was. Then he went back to his office and had a ham samitch.
  11. I think Mr. NaPolian has been searching for a clue for a very long time now, but one has yet to be found!
  12. When this team makes it back to the Super Bowl, Nix should lead the team onto the field with a brisk jog, sporting a poorly fitted 3 piece suit, and waving a single finger in the air.
  13. I can see Nix stepping up to the podium today and proceeding to sing, "Ham bone hame bone where ya been? Down to the river and back again!" And then stepping away, never to be heard from again.
  14. Wow... Gibran AND Seifert were riding the horse together? That sounds fancy!
  15. Completely agree CodeMonkey. That's why I said lets see how the rest of the year plays out. What I did notice, however, was a much different QB than I saw last season. I was excited for Fitz to start because I just wanted to see the ball being thrown down field in any fashion. What I didn't expect was for him to complete over 70% of his passes and move the chains to the point where Moorman punted once the entire game. Now, I'm not saying to "crown his ass" but what I am saying is that perhaps Fitz is NOT "who we thought he was" ... lets just see how it plays out. Maybe Chan can coach this guy up.
  16. YE OLE thinks it safe to say that yesterday was the first opportunity we had to see Chan Gailey's actual offense. I found it interesting that Chan said something to the effect of "We had some things called that we just didn't get off..." following the loss at Green Bay. Shortly following that Chan showed that he had and incredibly fast hook on Edwards. It's clear that Chan's offense simply wasn't being executed, thus the change. So, my question is... given that was our first look at Chan's actual offensive system with a little preparation and game planning, what do you think? I was fairly impressed. It's obvious that Fitzpatrick is an avg. QB, but he was definitely very productive in it. Hell, I think Moorman only punted the ball once yesterday. When is the last time that's happened? I was impressed. Lets see what we can do against the Jets. Also, did anyone else think that Fitz looked different yesterday? The last time we saw this guy he looked like a scrappy guy, with a mediocre arm, and accuracy issues. He threw 2 bad picks yesterday, no argument from me on that, but overall he looked like he had much better velocity on the ball and was way more accurate than I expected. Trent was a lost cause, but it could be that Chan's already influenced Fitz's game. Lets see how the rest of the year plays out, maybe Chan can continue to coach him up.
  17. I used to like listening to Schopp about a decade ago on WNSA... but either YE OLE was naive back then or Schopp has evolved into the Jack of Asses. But I can't stand hearing this clown any longer. Now mind you... YE isn't in the area so he goes to greater lengths than some to stream his Buffalo sports talk. YE will also tell you this... he used to listen to WNSA everyday without fail on the INTERWEBS, but these days I do not bother with WGR. I'm assuming that Howard Simon is still decent enough, but it's just not the same.
  18. Did somebody call for YE OLE?
  19. If only THE FLUTE MAN could've played with Spiller!
  20. Without fail the jambrones carve it up every time
  21. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone out there either owns their own freight brokerage or is/has worked as an agent of a freight broker. I ask, because I have an interview with a local 3PL this week and was just wondering if anyone had any outlook on the industry or general advice. Ironically, I had looked into trying to start my own freight brokerage about a year ago, but thought better of it as I had little experience in the field. Needless to say, when this opportunity came up, I was pretty excited about it. Anyway, any comments or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
