  1. What POZ should've done in that scenario was call his own number and launch an unabated blitzkrieg on Shaun Hill, whilst leaping into the air and raining down a SteveStojan storm on Hill the likes of which had never been seen before.
  2. Scope out this trick play gone awry! I could see us trying this with Roscoe when he gets back next season: http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/highschool/blog/prep_rally/post/Backflips-on-two-point-conversion-draw-flags-ej?urn=highschool-283559
  3. YE had a problem with the game. The video was all herky jerky... completely made the game unwatchable. Finally in the 2nd quarter, YE OLE got hip to that jive and reset his receiver. After several minutes of waiting YE OLE system to reboot and missing precious minutes of game time, it came back online and the problem was solved. The video was smooth after that. YE wishes he had known to call and complain to the DirecTV corporation so as to perhaps gain monetary refund for game time lost.
  4. It has recently come to YE OLE's attention that Fitz is more than just a QB... he is an Experience. So in your own words (100 words or less) describe what the Ryan Fitzpatrick Experience means to you. When you sit down on game day to watch the Fitzer take the field, what are you going to see, what emotions are you going to feel... what is the overall "experience" if you will... GO
  5. Chris Kelsay already took the money... nothing left for these two.
  6. Something along these lines?
  7. Ok guys... I can picture it now. A RB busts through our line going "great guns" per usual, and chasing it down from the backside is "Lights Out" Shawn Merriman and "Hollywood" Aaron Maybin who collaborate to stop the runner 12 yards down field. What sort of theatrics will transpire in the wake of their playmaking?
  8. Van_phe1aN1, I want you to say that out loud and see if it makes sense. I became a better poster on this board when I learned, not what I was... but rather what I wasn't.
  9. There's been a lot of talk around Gailey's system and his ability to turn mediocre QB's into good players, harkening back to the job he did with Tyler Thigpen. Just some food for thought here, take a look at Thigpen's numbers under Gailey in '08: Tyler Thigpen Completion: 54.8% Yards: 2608 YPA: 6.2 TD: 18 INT: 12 Rating: 76.0 Now compare them to what Fitz has done this year under Gailey: Completion: 63.3% Yards: 969 YPA: 7.6 TD: 11 INT: 4 Rating: 102.0 Do I think Gailey helped Thigpen? Yes. Do I think Gailey is helping Fitz? Yes. But, I also think some are writing off Fitz' performance as "the same thing he did with Thigpen" when clearly Fitz is playing several levels above anything Gailey got out of Thigpen. Just something to gnaw on...
  10. I completely agree with you. I'm not saying that Fitz WILL continue this level of play, but I'm also not saying that he won't. Lets wait and see, but if he keeps bringing it like he has been this season there is no reason not to build around this guy. I can't believe that people are actually calling his performance Sunday "solid" and going on to say that he once again proved that he is merely a decent backup. The guy is completing over 63% of his passes this year, and just shredded one of the better defenses in the league on the road in THEIR house. The argument here should be "can he continue this level of play?" not picking apart how he has played so far. We could draft Andrew Luck #1 overall and he could have a great career and still not play at the level Fitz is currently at right now. Again, the question is: Will Fitz continue this? The rest of the season will answer that question, if so... we have our QB.
  11. I concur with this article. We have to see how he finishes up this season. IF he continues this level of play, it is assinine to write him off simply because his name is not Andrew Luck and he was not the first pick of the draft. Production is production and franchise QB's have come from 1st overall picks to undrafted players out of small schools. If he continues to prove it on the field, there is no reason not to build around this guy. If he falls apart the rest of the way, then so be it, we can look to draft a QB in April. The rest of this season will tell us where to go from here.
  12. I think if our offense continues their play and even improves on it, every game left begins to look winnable. With our defense though, I still wouldn't be shocked at 0-16 either. Very strange feel for this team right now. Teams very well may walk away with a W, but still almost feel defeated because we just walked up and down the field on their defense. And, as in the case of the last 2 weeks, in certain stretches dominated the game.
  13. C.Biscuit, my good fellow, you just read YE OLE's mind. YE was just sitting here thinking: why in the hell would a person sit here and despite some signs of life from this team on offense just completely squelch it with "nope, any progress you saw on Sunday as a fluke, this team is going 0-16, has no talent, and will be in L.A. in a few years" YE OLE just doesn't understand the appeal of doing this. If you believe this, why do you have any interest whatsoever, in hanging around here to talk Bills football?
  14. Oddly enough, we seem to be developing what might be one of the most potent offenses in the game, despite being the worst team in the league. If the last few weeks are any indication, this team might go 0-16 but the opposing defense better strap it up and be ready for an ass whoopin when the B-LO comes to town.
  15. This whole idea that "well Fitz had a good game, because Baltimore didn't take Buffalo seriously" is ridiculous. Even aside from old Nappy here, there's a few others I've read trolling around using this so called logic. I think most could agree with the stance of waiting and seeing how the remainder of the season plays out to see if Fitz continues to shine. But seriously... you're going to try to take away from the guy's performance because "well... the other team just didn't take us seriously, but just you wait now that teams see this, they'll be more prepared" Really?
  16. Fitz just ripped Baltimore a new @$$ out there today. For anyone who said "yeah but wait until we see Fitz against the Ravens D..." if you are still in denial about this guy you are beyond reason. This guy is improving leaps and bounds before our very eyes.
  17. To those who remember that hip little number by Vertical Horizon: Somewhere there's speaking It's already coming in Andrew Luck is rising on Kiper's board Trent never could get it When he was fed it Now Fitz is here and we don't know why But under skinned knees and the skid marks Past the places where Fitz laid that wood You howl and listen Listen and wait for Echoes of legends who won't return Fitz is everything we want Fitz is everything we need Fitz has everything inside of him That Trent wished he could be He makes all the right reads At exactly the right times But he means nothing to us And YE OLE don't know why
  18. I like this idea... Maybin just may be able to play the role that they're trying to jam Kelsay into. It's obvious Maybin can't play on the line at this point, but the dude looks like a safety out there. He seems to be pretty fast... who knows, might just work!
  19. The only way Kelsay's extension makes any kind of sense is if they get him back to a DE role in a 4-3. By installing a new 4-3 alignment and still leaving Kelsay at OLB makes even less sense than giving him an extension to start with. What the hell is going on around here?
  20. Paladino is bringing his baseball bat to Orchard Park to clean up this mess!
  21. If/when Mr. Wilson passes, if Jimbo's mysterious group of owners swoop in and save of our team, is there any chance Jimbo reaches out to Bill Polian to return? Could he go to Bill and say "Bill... your beef was with Mr. Wilson... I ain't got no beef with you, and the proud people of this great city ain't got no beef with you. Come back and lets finish what we started 25 years ago..." Chris Polian would be well entrenched as the Colts GM at this point and maybe Bill gets the competitive itch to get back in the trenches. And what a way to put the icing on the cake of his legacy... to bring the Buffalo Bills to their 5th Super Bowl and... WIN What say you? Would you support such a move?
  22. Maybe Chan finally lost it at practice with ole' Corny and was like, "SON! Why don't you make like a tree and get outta here!" with that patented Chan Gailey post game 'I'm having a stroke' kind of look
  23. Wow. All YE OLE can say is... wow.
  24. The Bills are staying in Buffalo, YA HEARD?! In all seriousness, one part of the interview that I thought was a little morbid, yet intriguing was how Ralph referenced the turn around taking 3 years and how he "probably won't be around to see it." Now granted Ralph will be 92 on Sunday, and we should perhaps take everything he says with a grain of salt, but the wording seemed to foreshadow a post Ralph Wilson era of Bills football in Buffalo.
  25. I can't see moving Evans. He's clearly getting involved now that Fitz is throwing the ball his way, and the offense is playing at a decent level right now.
