  1. HOYOOOOOOO!!!!! *rim shot* Where ya at Deano?
  2. This game is going to go down in similar fashion to opening day '03. Fitz will unleash an aerial assault on the Pats that will have us up by 28 at the half. Being that we won the toss and deferred until the 2nd half, we of course will get the 2nd half kickoff, and in the words of the legendary Don Criqui, will "be in the endzone 2 plays hence!" Having gone 5-2 over the last 7 games at that point, THE RALPH will get that old time feeling back, and we will all sing "Another One Bites the Dust" ... and the beat will go on...
  3. This thread is an epic success. YE OLE's sides hurt from laughing so hard.
  4. Raise the roof! Beer is here! Come on everybody and have a beer!
  5. So how many people are watching this game tonight, that weren't planning on watching it before, just to see the mayhem?
  6. They should also offer free beer while they're at it!
  7. This thread is epic. Everyone is saying the same thing, yet disagreeing with each other. YE loves this!
  8. Completely agreed LA. As I said, I think the announcer bashing is overplayed at times, but Criqui was on another planet yesterday. That "and they'll be in the endzone 2 plays HENCE!" comment was just bizarre. His whole performance yesterday was just bizarre. It wasn't even just bad, it was just strange as hell. I thought the guy must have stopped off at a few too many tailgates on the way in to the stadium.
  9. I understand that sometimes we're too harsh on the announcers calling these games, and generally, Criqui has been decent, and I like the guy. However, that first drive yesterday, I thought Criqui was going to explode with excitement over the Browns and Hillis. It was one of the most bizarre things I've ever heard. 2 plays in "and it's MEN against BOYS out there as the Browns are just PUSHING the Bills around!" was a little over the top, but then when he said, "and they'll be in the endzone 2 plays hence!" YE was just completely taken aback. It was just very strange sounding. But, to be fair, he then came back and was like, "Ryan Fitzpatrick will no doubt lead the Bills to the endzone here!" as soon as our guys took the field. It seemed to even out with regard to bias, but it was just a complete overstatement of everything that went on. All things considered, Criqui is not too bad usually, but yesterday was very peculiar. I'm not a huge fan of Beurlein. I understand that he's on the lower rung of announcing teams CBS has, but he rarely seems prepared with any information or insight to me.
  10. That was vintage Dick Jauron.
  11. On 4th down, Bledsoe scrambled around and threw it away in a nonchalant fashion. Later claiming in the presser that he thought it was 3rd down. That was a choice play that YE had choice words for.
  12. '98 Wildcard @ Miami... Andre Reed getting all up in the official's face for calling him down short of the goal line and getting a personal foul.
  13. Yesterday as YE OLE was watching the game, YE stood up in his living room threw his hands up and shouted "What the hell is going on out there?!" similar to this legendary clip: So YE's question to all of you, what is your most memorable in game rant during a loss (by yourself, fan, or player)?
  14. I'm not a big Auburn fan, but Fairley looks like a beast. If we committed to playing a 4-3 and put Williams and Fairley on the interior, they would do ridiculous things. From what I've seen of Fairley though, he plays on the edge and takes a lot of roughing penalties.
  15. So just to clarify, you're saying that Kyle Williams would be a mere role player on 7-8 teams in this league?
  16. Indeed my good Senator. The only way I see Stanford getting to the Rose Bowl would be if the Auburn Tiger gets beaten down by the rooster of South Carolina. Indeed, if this happens, TCU may get the invite to play the Oregon Duck in the NCG, opening the way for Stanford. TCU will either be playing the NCG or Rose Bowl, this much we know.
  17. The Rose Bowl is obligated to take the highest non aq this year if their first option makes the ncg. Its going to be Wisconsin vs. TCU
  18. Apparently you didn't get the memo... the NFL has enhanced the rules over the last 8 years. Clearly if Fiedler was playing in this era, he'd be putting up those kind of numbers on a weekly basis.
  19. Everyone knows where YE OLE stands on this topic, but just to interject 2 more YE OLE COTTON cents: Those who follow college football dilligently can clearly see Boise State is no longer a novelty. The WAC isn't a strong conference, but their resume over the last 3 seasons now includes knocking off a Big 12 champion, a Pac 10 champion, and an ACC champion (not midlevel teams from major conferences... the champions of those conferences) to go along with 2 BCS bowl victories, and during that weak WAC schedule they're winning by 40-50 points without exception. And what's more, this season's team is the best they've ever fielded. The irony here is, there's a possibility that Ohio State would have to face a snubbed Boise St. in the Rose Bowl (this would required Wisconsin to lose at home to Northwestern, which isn't likely, but possible nonetheless). Be careful what you wish for Buckeyes.
  20. With regard to being "destitute" THE DORKINGTON may say chortle "yes, we are that destitute" but far be it for YE OLE to speak for THE DORKINGSTON.
  21. Alright Nappy... if you had to choose between Chris Kelsay and Poz, who would you take?
  22. This DeSean Jackson gem is good... but I still think my favorite Mike Vick/dogfighting quote of all time came from good ole' T. Pryor from THE OHIO STATE: "Not everybody's the perfect person in the world. I mean everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me, whatever."
  23. YE OLE is on it bro-chacho: http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/recap.asp?lg=NFL&g=20101114002&ref=hea&tm=&src=
