Whilst avoiding being productive at work, YE OLE has taken time to ponder this fiasco at great length today. While this whole brouhaha has become the source of many punch lines today, there seems to be a scenario here where Antonio is genuinely suffering from a serious condition as displayed through his increasingly unusual behavior. Some have even speculated it may date back to the Burfict cheap shot a few years ago. It’s definitely been entertaining to see how this dumpster fire is going to end up for the Raiders, but hopefully Antonio gets the help he needs if he’s truly gone this far off the rails.

Schopp’s outright arrogance is the only thing that exceeds these ridiculous takes he comes up with. YE OLE liked listening to Schopp years ago, but he obviously decided at some point that this is his schtick and it’s extremely hard to listen to. As for AB... it’s entirely possible this guy never plays another down of football anywhere.

Week One: Bills at Jets

Right around the 2:30 mark of that video, Brees completes a pass downfield for 15-20 yards. The guy says, “It burns them here... still a nice job by Gregg Williams though.” -
Monday 9/2 roster moves thread

Indeed... to YE OLE’s recollection, word on the street is THE CAP’n will be back for week 2 onward so as not to fully guarantee his salary. We’ve obviously seen this play in the past, but it sure seems like Beane has especially been stashing players all over the place this year with little tricks and caveats. -
Week One: Bills at Jets

What’s good, gents? What’s good? YE OLE would like to extend a thank you to all of those posting updates from the media. Does anyone know of any stations with any live coverage today? I realize it’s Labor Day, but given the fact that this is day 1 of a normal game week, I thought WGR would have something. Obviously YE OLE was mistaken. -

Gents... it’s time for us to face the very real possibility that BOJO is boarding that plane to JERSEY and will be putting foot to pigskin come Sunday. -
Practice Squad Signings Thread

Is BOJO still on this roster? What’s the score with this fellow anyway? -
Obviously surprising news about Shady (at least the timing and nature of his departure) and now Perry is out... we know Murphy is out. Is it possible they’re afraid Wade is intriguing enough that he wouldn’t clear waivers? Obviously he’s exempt if he makes it to the PS, but he would have to clear waivers like everyone else, correct?

Is Christian Wade about to make THE SQUAD here, gents? Is that what’s unfolding?

Bojo needs to go !!
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy Watkins’ Rib, my good body part, you are spot on per usual! These guys couldn’t wait to get Schmidt out of here. Then they brought him back for that short time and got rid of him again! Schmidt wasn’t an all pro, but you never felt he would inevitably cost us a game. YE OLE can predict with near 100% certainty that the first time our beloved punt team comes out and has to kick out of our own end zone we’re getting treated to a vintage 15 yard “BOJO SPECIAL” -
During the Flutie/RJ days some joker made some arguments of grandeur on YE OLE... so naturally YE OLE had to call him out on it. This fellow responds with “Ever hear of hyperbole man?” So YE OLE tells this whipper snapper “No... is that Batman’s cousin?” And that’s the rest of the story right there, gents!

Clowney Trending for some reason.

YOLO, my good friend, thank you for the clarification. YE OLE needs to know who knew Nsekhe was being held out and when they knew it! -
Clowney Trending for some reason.
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In all seriousness, rumors and INCARCERATED BOB tweets aside... why was Nsekhe held out of practice? Maybe YE OLE is behind on the inner workings of this story, but is it still the case that nobody has asked about this and it hasn’t been addressed by the team? Clowney aside, it’s a bizarre situation not to address at all. -
Clowney Trending for some reason.
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
YE OLE has spent much of the day reading over the spirited banter in this thread and asking himself two very important questions: 1. Are we getting Jadeveon Clowney? 2. Is Jadeveon Clowney THE WHIP? -

Report: NFL owners pitch 18-game schedule
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to nucci's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
nucci, my good friend, you are spot on per usual! Just YE OLE's two cents here, but perhaps the owners are throwing out such a ridiculous proposal to change the landscape at the bargaining table. 10 years ago it seemed that the 18 game schedule was a given... Polian was even quoted at the time as saying it was a fait accompli. With the players taking such a hard stand against it, it really seemed to go from fait accompli to a nonstarter. While this proposal technically addresses the players concerns regarding extra wear and tear, it's complete nonsense to force teams to strategically put together preseason type rotations on any given week for meaningful games. If this ever happened, the league would quickly erode the product it has built over the years. This proposal may, however, at least open the door to negotiations on this front once again and come up with some sensible way to get to 18 games via larger rosters, no preseason games, etc. as nucci so sagely laid out. -
House, my good man, truer words have not been spoken. You are spot on, per usual, my friend! YE OLE has spent the last few decades now, watching the games, listening to sports radio, reading message boards, etc. It always ebbs and flows as to what the true path to success is in building a championship team. For the last several years everyone is all in on the so called "franchise QB" being the magic bullet. If we go back a few more years it was "Well you can win with Trent Dilfer, you really need a strong running game and a defense." Granted, the rules of the league have changed in recent year to favor the passing game, but we just saw a slugfest of a SB where 13 points won the game. We've seen that Aaron Rodgers + bad coaching is unsuccessful and this year we'll probably also prove that "Some guy who knows Sean McVay + a rag tag roster" won't work either. If you want to win, you really need 53 good players and good coaching. For the first time, in a very long time, it seems that we may cut players out of training camp that will be coveted by other teams. This is a step in the right direction... it seemed that the Jets may have also been making progress until this latest fiasco. Which is probably also good news for us.

PanchoBilla enters Hospice (Has now passed away)
Cotton Fitzsimmons replied to mead107's topic in Off the Wall Archives
My good friend Pancho... may you Rest In Peace. You are already tremendously missed and will always be remembered fondly. The memories you made from the lives you touched to your participation in these last couple of drafts will live on in BillsMafia lore for all time. I’m confident in saying that you will be one of the first things we all think about the day that the Lombardi Trophy comes home to Buffalo.
