Yes, we signed Holcomb. But for only 2 years and i'd be surprised if he stayed that long before he was at least given a chance to start for another team. Shane Matthews? He's been in and out of retirement for years and he's only a year or two younger than Brett Favre. I don't even expect him to be on the roster for the opener. Kyle Orton is a guy who should have been gone in the 2nd round. He would be a steal in the 4th as J.P.'s answer to AVP. God forbid J.P. not work out, we have another stud young guy back there. The trade I proposed wasn't Travis for Kyle Orton. It's Travis for TWO fourths. Kyle Orton was just the best available going into Round 4 and who knows what we'd get out of the other 4th. Right about now we'd be lucky to get a bag of dog dung for Travis. So what's so brutal about the post?!

Oh..... well, uh Don't I feel stupid....

Here's mine: QB: J.P. Losman Kelly Holcomb Jason White RB: Willis McGahee T.A. McLendon - Daimon Shelton Joe Burns WR: Eric Moulds Lee Evans Tyrone Calico Roscoe Parrish Jonathan Smith TE: Kevin Everett Mark Campbell Tim Euhus OL: Kenyatta Walker Bennie Anderson Trey Teague Chris Villarial Mike Williams - Ross Tucker Raymond Preston Mike Gandy Justin Geisinger Dylan McFarland Jason Peters I feel that Jason White would make a great career back-up to J.P. Let's face it, Kelly Holcomb isn't going to stay in Buffalo and play backup for very long and Shane Matthews will probably be cut after training camp. I feel he's only here for a little while to help out. Tyrone Calico would be a fair trade straight up for TH. I'm only listing it because it's the new hot rumor. I think it makes perfect sense. Mularkey ran a whole lot of 4 WR sets last year. Josh Reed and Sam Aiken just weren't getting the job done though. Parrish and Calico would. Parrish then could serve as PR and KR #2 as well as a deep threat. I know we drafted Lionel Gates, but I just think that UDFA T.A. McLendon has more upside. He's also a big bruiser which is what I feel we need.

I haven't been bashing TD at all. I respect him for sticking to his guns. However, I do disagree with you. I was hoping we'd trade Travis to the Eagles for a 4th this year and a 4th next year. I thought that would be fair. There were a lot of guys in the 4th that were Blue Chippers: Kyle Orton, QB Purdue (would have made an awesome insurance policy/backup) Stefan LeFors, QB Louisville Adrian McPherson, QB Florida State Darren Sproles, RB Kansas State Ciatrick Fason, RB Florida Marion Barber III, RB Minnesota Antonio Perkins, CB Oklahoma Chris Canty, DE Virginia Claiming that whomever we would have drafted with a 4th or a 5th is destined to be a bust is ignorrant. Try telling that to Terrence McGee......

LT - Trey Teague LG - Bennie Anderson C - Raymond Preston RG - Chris Villarial RT - Mike Williams But I think that someone is going to get cut between now and the beginning of the season that we'll sign as our LT.

Did we sign him?

Head over to http://www.roscoeparrish.com It's got a REAL cool look to it!

I was wondering if anyone knew the timetable for signing UDFA's? Is it done tommorrow and/or the day after? Which guys would you like to see Buffalo bring in? I'd love to see them try these guys: Jason White, QB Oklahoma Timmy Chang, QB Hawaii T.A. McLendon, RB North Carolina State Walter Reyes, RB Syracuse - Signed by Titans Tyler Jones, K Boise State - Signed by Bears Michael Munoz, OT Tennessee - Retired Ben Wilkerson, Center LSU George Gause, DE South Carolina - Signed by Bills! Will Matthews, FB Texas - Signed by Titans Brandon Browner, CB Oregon State Lorenzo Alexander, DT California Jim Leonhard, FS Wisconsin - Signed by Bills!

UGH! Justin Geisinger? We need a Tackle, not a Guard. Bennie Anderson Chris Villarial Lawrence Smith Ross Tucker Justin Bannan Ben Sobieski How many Guards do we need? There was guys like Michael Munoz at Tackle, T.A. McLendon at RB, and Mike Rayner at Kicker that would have been HUGE picks.

Darren Sproles is gone What do you guys think of T.A. McLendon?

Here's a few quick points I have about yesterday: - I really think Matt Jones was the guy that we wanted. A trade probably would have went down in the latter end of Rd 1. But since he was picked at 21 (which I thought was quite a reach) we just stayed put and grabbed the fastest WR on the board. - I would have loved to grab an OT. I think TD missed out on trading up to grab LT Alex Barron who dropped pretty low. From there, Khalif Barnes would have been a good pick up if he fell in the 2nd; but he didn't. We have Mike Gandy and Jason Peters for depth and in my opinion, Adam Terry is not a starting tackle. So why waste the pick on him? - I think we're going to draft a QB and a RB today (Even though Darren Sproles just got picked ). True, we re-signed Shane Matthews. But I think he's just being brought in for Training Camp to help J.P. Losman and assist Wyche in teaching Kelly Holcomb and whomever we pick our offense. I believe that we would have drafted Maurice Clarett had he been around in Round 5. TD showed interest in him and I think he was just the right type of guy we were looking for. A big, bruiser style back who could come in and give Willis a breather, who would have been a steal talent-wise, and perhaps could have played FB. But Denver's pick of him in the 3rd was insanity! Adrian McPherson would make a great pick in the 5th. - We'll draft a Center today (which we just did with "The Duke"). But after that, there's no need to draft another OL. If Michael Munoz is around in later rounds, then maybe. But there's no one else really worth it and we have enough depth at OL. - Travis Henry IMO will be traded to another team for pick(s) in next year's draft. I don't think we'll be getting another WR. The Calico trade doesn't make much sense to me. With Moulds, Evans, and now Parrish; why would we? That means either Calico or Parrish would play WR #4. Why would we use our first pick to play 4th on the depth chart?

So who is left in this draft?
BillsFanForever19 replied to Navy Chief Navy Pride's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jason Brown Ben Wilkerson Elton Brown Michael Munoz Darren Sproles Antonio Perkins Antaaj Hawthorne And honestly, with the way the draft is panning out; if Kyle Orton was there at pick #4 and a number of those guys above weren't, i'd take him to be groomed into the AVP of the Bills. -
Contrary to popular belief on this board, it actually happened. You can see it all on bb.com

UGH! I can't stand the useless ESPN2 ticker covering up the draft ticker!

WE'RE DOOMED!!!!
-
This move didn't make any sense to me. When you're Detroit and you need help all over the place, why would you go for ANOTHER WR? Call me sore because we didn't do the rumored NC trade and get him like I wanted all you want! Not to mention, they just signed Kevin Johnson the other day.

Would you trade Clements and next year's
BillsFanForever19 replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I would. But only next year's 2nd, not this year's. And ONLY if Mike Williams is available. -
I don't see why it's so out of the question. Unlikely, yes. But nothing TD does tommorrow will surprise me. I do think he should go WR. He said it himself, we need a better offense. J.P. could use another weapon. Mike Williams would definitely help. But do I think we'd trade our first next year and our 2nd? No. If Williams (forget about Edwards) is going to end up in the Red, White, and Blue; it would come off of the rumored Nate Clements trade. If I were TD and I could get #9 for Nate, i'd pull the trigger on it. I have a sinking feeling that MW will fall there. Then i'd trade TH to Arizona for L.J. and a switch of our 2nd's and land Mike Nugent. In the 3rd, i'd go CB with preferrably Stanley Wilson and a Center in the 4th. After acquiring L.J. and a center for the future, our line would be set. Wilson would help fill the void that Vincent left and be our star of the future. I'd go after a veteran CB after the draft. Wilson and a veteran should be enough to fill the holes.

Bills picks from Kiper and Scouts
BillsFanForever19 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Now is this before or after the Castillo Steroids bombshell? -
redskins will trade #25 and Rod Gardner for Nate C
BillsFanForever19 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I don't like this trade idea much. Rod Gardner is no better than Josh Reed. Nobody really wants the guy. Not to mention, Doug Jolley just went for #26; so i'd venture to say that Nate Clements is worth a LOT more than a #25. -
Clements trade just became more likely...
BillsFanForever19 replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same way they'd be expected to pay for a top 10 pick in the draft. I'm sure they'd re-structure some contracts and/or cut some people to free cap space. How are we so sure Nate's looking for top 5 CB money? I bet he's asking a lot, but maybe it's not much worse than what they offered Smoot? Yes, it's unlikely that it will happen. But you have to admit, it does make sense if TD knows in his heart of hearts that he won't be able to keep Nate anyways. It's unlikely, but you can't completely rule it out. -
Anyone thinking Oakland has been smart?
BillsFanForever19 replied to MrLocke's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that's a great move! Jolley's good, but he's not "trade your first round pick" good. -
It's definitely plausible, but I don't think it will happen. I'd bet that the Dolphins are going to use that pick for Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, or Aaron Rodgers. The Redskins are going to stay put if you ask me. They'll take Pac-Man Jones at 9 and Jason Campbell at 25. I think you'll see Minnesota package their #7 and #18 to move up to Cleveland's #3 to ensure that they get Braylon Edwards to replace Randy Moss though.
-
Jason Brown, Center from North Carolina I don't think we're going to draft a rookie for LT. As it is we have: Mike Williams Bennie Anderson Trey Teague Chris Villarial Mike Gandy Justin Bannan Ross Tucker Lawrence Smith Ben Sobieski Dylan McFarland Jason Peters After picking a Center, we'll have 12 OL. I think we'll sign another tackle at some point. Whether we just pick up Shelton after he's cut or sign the best available 6/1 cut, it doesn't matter.

Draft: #2 - Matt Jones (QB/WR/TE, Arkansas) #2 - Mike Nugent (K, Ohio State) #3 - Stanley Wilson (CB, Stanford) #4 - Jason Brown (C, North Carolina) #5 - Maurice Clarrett (RB, Ohio State) #6 - David McMillan (DE, Kansas) #7 - Jason White (QB, Oklahoma) Bills trade Travis Henry to the Eagles for #35.
