  1. Yeah, I think this one should be closed. Flimsy from the get go, not a fit in our defense, and quite clearly just mistaken identity with the actual Pats player we signed, OT LaAdrian Waddle.
  2. I'm not opposed to Buffalo drafting him. I'm just opposed to it happening at 9. If they take him following a trade down to around the 20-30 range or if they traded up from the 2nd - okay.
  3. - He's not even close to one of the top 9 talents in this draft. - He might not even be the best TE. - He was pretty pedestrian at the Combine. - He's just as raw of a prospect as DK Metcalf without the impressive measurables (Redshirt Sophomore). - Tight End is like Running Back. A top 10 pick used there would have to be a freakish talent.
  4. I don't see how that matters to the point the OP is making (that with the amount of guys we have, we won't be picking up more picks for more bodies).
  5. If this were the case, you'd never see the Patriots trading down. Which we often do - even after they win a Super Bowl with the roster they have. The best teams often cut good players. Sometimes even draft picks or free agents from that very year. And it's a good thing. It means they had good competition/depth across the board and were able to weed out the very best fits for their team. This is a luxury we're not used to around here. As a matter of fact, we're generally one of the teams going after the good cut players. So the idea of having an abundance of players seems wasteful to some. But if we were to have too many free agents and Draft Picks - that's a very good thing come Training Camp. So, no, it's never off the table. Especially when you consider we may want to pick up picks in later years. Or may need to recoup a pick/picks that may be traded away for a player in the coming weeks.
  6. Beane just said Ziggy will continue on his visits
  7. Hopefully, Ziggy Ansah tomorrow.
  8. They have a test at the Combine that gauges the velocity of a thrown football. Tyree Jackson scored a 54. Which was 3rd amongst even his own class. Will Grier topped out the 2019 class and scored a 59. Last season, Josh Allen scored a 62. Fake news.
  9. Knowing Gettleman, getting a replacement for Safety Landon Collins was probably of high priority. Judging by what Cleveland paid, they probably wanted: - 2019 1st Round - Pick #9 - 2019 3rd Round - Pick #75 - SS Micah Hyde Then we would have had to give him a big new deal like Cleveland will be. ... I think I might have still done it, personally.
  10. I wonder who will be our two starting Guards with the additions of Jon Feliciano and Spencer Long to go along with Wyatt Teller ?
  11. We've reportedly never been in on Bell. Outside of him - there isn't really anyone available that would be a big reveal.
  12. Alright, Le'Veon Bell watch has been debunked. All aboard the Ziggy train! Outside of Bell and Earl Thomas - Ansah may be the best available Free Agent. Here's hoping his medical checks out and we "don't let him leave the building".
  13. Obviously, the Bills preferred the younger model with less wear and tear. And in Free Agency, those things weigh heavy in dollars and cents. I also suspect McDermott valued Morse above all others having come with a high letter of recommendation from his mentor Andy Reid.
  14. Everyone clamoring for Daryl Williams - the reason people aren't jumping is because they want to wait until Wednesday so they can see where he's at medically. Same with Ziggy Ansah.
  15. I love the signings they've made so far. But signing John Brown, Cole Beasley, and Mitch Morse is not a huge perception changer. Obviously, they can sign guys. But when it's said Buffalo can't sign players, it's referring to the Antonio Brown's and Le'Veon Bell's of the world. The cream of the crop will never come here if given a choice.
  16. Ouch. He was the Tackle I wanted Buffalo to sign the most. Now Daryl Williams has to get done.
  17. Signing Mummy Frank Gore on Day 1. ... Wow.
  18. Welp. There goes that. Time to sit around the table and have internal discussions about other Free Agents. SLOW and steady wins the race!
  19. If i'm signing another ancient RB, i'm going with Adrian Peterson.
  20. I keep seeing the Lions name attached to just about everyone. Seems like their brass likes to puff a lot of smoke.
  21. In a vacuum - probably not. However given: - The amount of money that they have that must be used. - The glaring need for at least one stud WR. - The large amount of Offensive Lineman worth taking at #9 in the First Round vs. the small amount (maybe 1?) of WR's worth taking at #9. - The large amount of decent FA Offensive Lineman that could be had with no compensation vs. almost no WR's. A trade is almost neccessary to upgrade our WR core in a substantial way. In this case, it lines up in a way that if it were to ever happen - now would be the time.
  22. We have Hyde and Poyer. Hell, we don't even need a 3rd Vet Safety off the bench because they signed Rafael Bush to a multi-year deal just last season.
  23. Because there will almost assuredly be a difference maker at another position of need that won't be a reach at #9. If we were to sign Saffold and Morse - that's going to eat up a HUGE chunk of our cap space. I'm not saying don't Draft a Lineman at all. I'm just saying using that much cap space on two stud FA Lineman and then the #9 overall is putting too many resources into one place. When this team needs a lot.
  24. If they go all in and sign Saffold AND Morse (or Paradis) - Round 1 needs to go to skill positions or D-Line. We have other holes than just the O-Line.
