Wow!
It really sucks to be a Browns fan. He was hurt practically all last year and now who knows about this year.
And I thought we had it bad with the Everett thing.

How come Bills rookies always get stuck with those godawful ugly helmets?
-
Yeah, I really don't think Shane Matthews wants anything to do with coming back. And why we'd want anything to do with bringing him back is still a mystery to me.
Just let Thompson and Woodbury fight it out. I like Woodbury's ability to play WR and Special Teams as well as #3 QB.
-
He'll probably keep it.
For some reason it's the new "in" thing for Rookie's to do. Last year Roy Williams, Larry Fitzgerald, and Reggie Williams picked 11 and stuck with it. Braylon Edwards has already stated he's going to be #17.
Damn you Keyshawn! Look at what you've started!

I don't know. But he's definitely the best one on the Bills roster lol
Seriously though, I didn't think that one comment would be as big as it has been made out to be. Race aside, with Shane being constantly unsure and constantly saying he wants to retire; i'd like someone else at the #3 QB position.
I like that Woodbury is on the team and can also play WR and Special Teams. I think he'd be a good fit at #3.

Word going around on nfl.com is that Shane Matthews has resigned, but still needs to be talked into staying around past training camp.
Given this situation, who would you like to see as our #3 QB?
I for one would like to see Tory Woodbury given a shot at it. He's a guy who could also play WR and Special Teams. He was an interesting project for the Jets. I also think it's due time that an african-american QB land a spot on the Bills roster.

Yeah, that was my thought as well.
But who would they bring in? I mean, Timmy Chang, Brock Berlin, Chris Rix, Jason White, etc. have all signed on with other teams. Do you think we'd give #3 to Kevin Thompson or Tory Woodbury?
I like Tory because he can play WR and ST as well.

nfl.com's rumor section reports that even though Shane Matthews resigned, they still need to convince him to stay on the team through the year.
Perhaps he's just here for training camp?

Before signing anyone (especially an overrated veteran in Thomas) the Bills should be attempting to reconcile with Travis so that the 2005 year can be beneficial for both parties:
1. It clearly would be best for the Bills to have Travis Henry as a backup to Willis McGahee. Anyone insinuating that Anthony Thomas is his equal or better has not seen Thomas play.
2. Henry would best be served in the offseason by proving his salt this year. Heck, he's already proven his ability, so it would not take much in the minds of GMs to reassure them of his Pro Bowl status. Regardless of his starter/backup status, he will receive 25% or more of the game's carries; and McGahee (like any starting NFL RB) can be expected to miss at least a couple games with injury.
1.) We've all seen A-Train's play. He is capable of a 1,000 yard season easily. Now if we were bringing him into start, i'd understand your point. But I think Thomas is perfect for the position TH is in. I think Travis is right, he's too good for where he is on the roster. But Thomas would be just right.
2.) Henry is NOT coming back. Let it go. I'd bet that when we sign our veteran backup, the Travis trade will soon follow. TH is already not showing up for the mandatory mini-camp and he'll do the same for training camp.

I don't understand all the talk of cutting Smith?
He was a draft pick from last year and all he did was produce. Why do we cut someone who didn't do anything wrong?
I think we'll bring another WR into camp. Reed and Aiken will be shown the door.

This is a site that has amazing NFL McFarlane customs. They have a Bills section with guys like McGahee. But I was shocked to see them make guys like Daimon Shelton, Kevin Thomas, and Lawrence Smith.
Check it out!

Is that a record? WOW!

Wow, is that really neccessary?
3 QB's on top of Volek and McNair? God damn.

As it stands right now, our starting LT would be Mike Gandy. Perhaps it would be Trey Teague if we started "Duke" Preston at Center. But in my opinion, neither option is going to get us anywhere.
When the topic of "Who'll be cut on 6/1" came up, the only name that anyone was sure on was Kyle Turley. Turley's a guy who has played at RT mostly, but has LT experience. He's a star of the league but has been known as a headache.
If it came down to it and he was the best available tackle, would you be cool with Kyle Turley in the Red, White, and Blue? Or would you rather stick with Gandy?
-
This is insanity! I can't stand how TD and everyone stands up for Lindell when they won't put him on the field when we're more than 30 yards away!
He's going to lose us a big game one of these days. I really wanted Tyler Jones!

So far we've signed two of the guys from my list. If there is anything i've missed, like players from my list signing elsewhere; let me know!
Looks like things are going to get ugly!

Browns | Winslow Stands to Lose Money - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 2 May 2005 19:47:07 -0700
Adam Schefter, reports for NFL.com, Cleveland Browns TE Kellen Winslow Jr. stands to lose a good deal of money because of his recent motorcycle accident. His incentive-laden, six-year, $40 million contract is littered with language that forbids "hazardous activities" such as motorcycling. The team could possibly ask Winslow to return the $4.4 million option bonus they paid him March 1, as well as a significant portion of the $6 million signing bonus they paid him last year. His contract also has salary escalators which he may not be able to obtain, depending on how long his injuries keep him sidelined.
How much do you want to bet Winslow's going to be screaming to get out of Cleveland?
