Man, I hope they have a change of heart. The UCLA Style 61-63 Shoulder Striped ones are the best!

Well, i'm excited about this. TD didn't tell us anything, but it's been pretty obvious that it's going to be a throwback.
So what type of throwbacks do you guys want? I for one would like one's that were worn by Bills of the 60's:

What do you guys think of them? I like the stripes around the underarms. I always felt that the red, white, and blue jerseys of the 80's and 90's were just TOO bland.
Do you think that they will be licensing and selling the throwbacks? I would love to get a white away throwback of Roscoe Parrish! If they do sell them, will you buy one?

Manuel Wright - DL - Player
USC defensive tackle Manuel Wright has declared for the NFL supplemental draft.
He would have been a starter next season, but was going to be ruled academically ineligible. It's uncertain how high a pick Wright will be, but it sounds like he'll be drafted as a late round pick at best.
Might be a good choice to use one of next years 5th or 6th rounders to bring this guy in.
I think I remember saying something about this. I could be wrong though....

I say we bring in Brien and we bring in Matt Payne. We already have Pochman and Rheem on the roster. Cut Lindell!
Let those four guys battle it out. There's gotta be someone compitent enough in that group to make Mularkey confident in his kicker, right?
-
-
That would make 4 kickers on our roster. If we bring him in with Joe Rheem, one of them will be our kicker next year.... bank on it!

The front page of bb.com states that there will be a press conference tommorrow at 11. There are no details as to what it's about, but it's supposed to be "major".
Is he simply going to announce the Packers/Bills scrimmage or will we FINALLY see a TH trade?
-
No matter what TD feed us, I think it's pretty obvious that Mularkey is not too keen on Lindell. Anyone who is keen on Lindell is obviously blind. If Nugent was still around, I would have liked to have seen us grab him. But it wasn't in the cards. So what are our other options?
Owen Pochman and Joe Rheem.
The fact that there are 3 kickers on the roster alone says something. Buffalo always brings in someone else during training camp to push the kicker a little and help out. But to my recelection (sp?), I don't remember ever having 3 going into training camp.
Unfortunately, all one needs to do is read this article and look at the stats to see that Pochman is DEFINITELY not the answer.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...SPGH92JTUD1.DTL
So what about Joe Rheem? Well, most draft places have him rated among the top prospects available; but usually no higher than 5 (Behind Nugent, Tyler Jones, Dave Rayner, and Jonathan Nichols). Two of those four men were drafted. So the question remains: Is he "camp fodder" or is he a legitimate contender?
Most kickers in the league go undrafted and are given a shot. I think it's time we do the same. I for one hope that Rheem can overcome a couple of his negatives and beat out Lindell. Here is some info on him:

http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2005/rheem_joe
The knock on him is he is inconsistent passed the 45 yard mark. Inside of that, he's money in the bank. If he can work on that, he's an immense upgrade from Lindell; who is automatic from nowhere.

NFL | Wright may Consider Supplemental Draft - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 10 May 2005 06:32:57 -0700
The Los Angeles Times reports USC DL Manuel Wright is deciding whether to return to school for the 2005 season or make himself available for an NFL supplemental draft, according to his father. He said a decision by his son could come as soon as Wednesday, May 11. Manuel Wright bypassed spring practice to work on his academic issues.
The kid always seemed very good to me when I watched SC. He was stuck behind Cody, but broke away from the pack when Cody switched to DE. I wouldn't mind grabbing him if he was still there in Round 3. Here's some info on him:

If there's a trade on the table, we have to take it. Anyone who thinks TH will wise up and play is kidding themselves.
I for one would like to see TH to the Eagles (and maybe a late round pick) for Corey Simon. They want him out and have already replaced him. We could use the help in the middle.

Holy crap!
I didn't add those guys at the end. The mods are playing games with me! *paranoia*

LMAO
I'm a little confused as to where that's coming from but hey; it's pretty funny. Especially since my girlfriend and I do have a small percentage of polish in us.
But anyways, I apologize if it pissed anyone off. Honestly, I didn't think two polls with valid questions was going to be that bad. I just wanted opinions

I'm starting to think that option #1 is going to be it and no one else is coming in as a FA.
Thoughts?
-
I for one am keen on Eddie George. I know it sounds crazy, but it's not like we're looking for a starter. George isn't completely shot; he'd be a good 3rd down back and mentor to Willis.

Ya know, for people who have no idea what you're talking about; the title of this thread seems very obscene

Geesh, I feel like I should be crying about something now.

WWE.com: WWE Fans at the 2005 Hall of Fame and all over the world chanted, "One more match." You delivered that to them tonight. Was this Hulk Hogan’s last match?
Hulk Hogan: Well, I am not thinking about that at this moment. It was a great night for Hulk, Shawn and all of the WWE fans. I feel really good right now. It will really be a tough decision. It’s so hard to give up what you love doing. Hanging up the boots will not be an easy thing to do.

"If the hip is OK after this one, I might consider a return on a part-time basis to complement the current roster,''said Hogan.
At the Backlash PPV, there was no mention of retirement. Everyone just assumed that because of all the "one more match" chants, that's what it was. But in all actuality, that's not a fact.

Chiefs | White will not be signed - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 2 May 2005 06:32:16 -0700
The Kansas City Star reports the Kansas City Chiefs have decided not to offer a contract to undrafted rookie free agent QB Jason White after the completion of the team's weekend minicamp. HC Dick Vermeil told the 2003 Heisman Trophy winner to consider the Arena League. Chiefs president/general manager Carl Peterson said he'd be willing to give other NFL teams film on White's weekend if they're interested in looking at White.
I think we should sign the poor kid. A Heisman winner is at least worth a look-see. Especially since we have Shane "I'm not Sure" Matthews skipping mandatory camps.

Are we really to buy ReShard Lee, a guy who went undrafted the same year we picked Willis; as TH's replacement? He has potential and was a collegiate star, but he's not much of an upgrade from Shaud Williams and has fumbling problems.
I was looking at Denver's roster today and noticed the insane amount of RB's that they have:
Tatum Bell
Maurice Clarett
Quentin Griffin
Ron Dayne
They signed Ron Dayne earlier this year in hopes of turning his career around and I don't see them just signing him for a couple months and cutting him. They're not going to cut their cash cow ERRRR 3rd round pick Maurice Clarett or their starter and top pick last year, Tatum Bell.
I think that makes Griffin the odd man out. Would anyone like to see him as Willis' veteran backup? Or are we cool with Lee?
