I want:
Sam Darnold
Josh Rosen
Baker Mayfield
I do NOT want:
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Mason Rudolph
If Allen were to fall to 12 and everyone above went in the top 5, okay. But to take him with either Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield available would be painful. Especially if they gave a lot to trade up for him.

Why (other than good QBs don’t hit the market often)? The Bills though have always recruited well in free agency.
Mainly the first part. But when they do - we aren't even an afterthought. Small market and a small history of success equate to them looking elsewhere.

Getting a good QB in the draft ?
It's at best, about a 5% success rate and dependent mostly on luck (not Andrew, who may never play again and why Indy may be in play for a QB).
Getting a good QB to come to Buffalo in Free Agency?
It's at best about a 0% success rate.

Maybe the Giants take a QB
Maybe the Broncos take a QB
But i'd be surprised if they both did. Especially with how much noise Elway's making about trading down.

I'm all for drafting Ferguson.
... in the 4th after we've already drafted Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, or Allen.

If Nick Foles was still something they were considering, A.J. McCarron wouldn't have been signed by us. The Foles idea sailed a while ago.

I wasn't upset when they drafted EJ Manuel. That class was so horrifically bad at QB and everyone knew it going in. Whoever we drafted, I knew was going to be a longshot to be good. But we didn't have a choice but to take one. To be honest, at the time, I was just glad that we didn't draft Ryan Nassib.
re: Josh Allen: I think where the trade up occurs matters. I don't want to see us trading up to #2 for him. But if they do, i'll know he was their guy. And i'll get over it. In time. Passing on either Darnold or Rosen for him would for sure sting though.
If Darnold/Rosen/Mayfield go in the top 4-5 picks and we can't get a partner up there - I would be fine with trading up as high as 5-6 for him. Provided they aren't asked to seriously overpay.
Either way - trust the process and all will be fine.

Now you're posting this crap on threads it doesn't even belong in? I legit think you should be banned or at least suspended, at this point.

I feel as though the prerequisite to being against a trade up is having to create your very own separate thread to tell everyone about it.
I've seen this same thread from a new member every single day. "It's going to cost a lot" ...we know.

And here comes the 'Don't Trade Up!' crowd, right on cue.

Sounds to me like an ultimatum. That he plans on retiring - but they have until Sunday to change his mind.

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s people that form their own opinions.
Developing your own opinion is fine. Allen is not my 1st or 2nd choice either.
But the level of condemnation of Allen on this board as a prospect is downright absurd.
-
I love how most GM's and Talent Evaluators have Josh Allen as the #1 or #2 QB in this Draft. Yet, people on this board think he's EJ Manuel.
I'll trust the one's doing this for a living. If they desire Allen - stop being a whiny brat and get behind the positives in his game. They ARE there.

We know.

I was going to say that the 23rd and 31st overall picks aren't going to move NE anywhere near high enough to nab one of the top QBs. They would have to really mortgage they future to get that high, and I'm not sure that even then the Giants would be happy moving all the way down to the bottom third of the first round. I bet the Giants would want 3,000 points or more.
Speculation is they don't want to move much lower than 5 and that we'll have to trade up again if we want to get to 2.
So, yeah, under no scenario are they dropping to 23.
-
Both of NE's 1st's and 2nd's (2,106 pts) aren't enough for the 2nd pick (2,600 pts).

If you come here and post something from "my source" - you should be put on automatic Probation.
Only way off Probation is for everything you said to come true. If it's total BS - you're banned.

I understand everyone has their favorites. And everyone has an opinion regarding Allen. He's not my #1 or #2 QB either.
But you guys do know that posting a topic about it isn't going to change McBeane's opinion, right? If they want to Draft him, no amount of bitching about it is going to stop them.
Look at the positives of his game. They're definitely there. I know of a lot of Eagles fans weren't thrilled with Carson Wentz at first either.

Care to give us the Bills picks at least?
Honestly, I didn't look beyond the Top 5 as it scrolled across my screen (I don't have insider either). But others have posted his picks for us since.

1.) Cleveland Browns - QB Josh Allen
2.) New York Giants - QB Sam Darnold
3.) New York Jets - QB Josh Rosen
4.) Cleveland Browns - RB Saquon Barkley
5.) Denver Broncos - QB Baker Mayfield
This is a likely scenario that terrifies me. I don't want to know what this board's going to look like if it goes down this way.
I'm thankful Kiper put it out there, though. Pretty much guarantees it'll go differently.
