If WM thinks he can extort the Bills and TH is gonna pull a female impersonation, then boot these brats! WM should be thankful that Buffalo took a shot on his gimp @$$. Shaun Alexander has never missed a game. WM would pull a HUGE compensation for the Bills. Liquidate these two idiots, create big cap room, accumulate multiple draft picks and veteran players in return and fortify the current roster and then pay one big contract to Alexander.
Now I know that this is not a realistic scenario, but I LOVE that movie "Falling Down". Too bad the same principles can't apply here.
Well at least we all know why you're known as "Tipster" now.

I can't find much of anything about this Langdon guy.
He's not even listed on nfl.com's Draft Tracker of Kicker's eligible.
But as long as the guy can kick and is better than Lindell, I don't care!
-
Kenyatta Walker.
He's going to stay put. Todd Steussie was signed by them last year for some major bucks. But the guy couldn't beat out Walker and then revealed he's on Steroids. He'll be cut June 1st, not Walker.
-
Meh, I just hope we didn't spend much on him.
Bennie Anderson
Chris Villarial
Ross Tucker
Lawrence Smith
Ben Sobieski
Justin Geisinger
Justin Bannan
Plus all the other fodder Guards we have. Now we signed Greg Jerman. How many do we need?!
-
The LT position has been conversed in depth forever now!
With the Bills showing ZERO interest in L.J. Shelton, there's only two other Tackles we know that will be cut. But they're problematic at best.
I don't see anymore Tackles who are better than what we already have being cut besides those two. So who would you go with?
If you would go with either, under what conditions would you bring them in? Or who else do you see possibly getting cut?
-
-
I don't remember saying that Peters is the guy i'd want. But he is a Tackle now. I was simply listing the tackles that are on our team.
Anderson? Are you high? Bennie Anderson will be filling our hole at LG. Not to mention, he's NEVER played Tackle in his career!
-
I know this has been gone over again and again, however
the more time passes, the more I believe we are going into the
season with a big question mark at LT.
No team is going to trade away a left tackle after training camps
start. Just not going to happen. You can plug in a RB, like Henry,
but you are not going to let your left tackle go.
Maybe someone trades a 2006 pick for him.
The only ones that are going to be cut are L.J. Shelton (who was already cut and we apparently don't want), Kyle Turley, and Todd Steussie.
Turley is a GREAT tackle. But his weight is low and he's a nutcase. Steussie's on Steroids.
So unless we want to take a chance on one of them, it looks like we're going with Gandy, Teague, or Peters because I don't see anyone else getting cut.
-
Yes, I would. I realize i'm probably in the minority when it comes to this though.
If we're not signing Shelton, then Turley would probably be the next best thing. Unless there's some massive surprise, the only OT's that will be available besides Shelton are Turley and Todd Steussie. Some people thought at one point that Kenyatta Walker would be cut. But after Steussie's steroid problem and Walker's performance last year, Steussie will be the one to go.
So if Mularkey and McNally can get the guy to put on some weight, he'd be a DEFINITE upgrade from Gandy. If his head is in the game, he's one of the leagues premier tackles. Is he a loose cannon at times? Yes. But I think our beastly head coach and O-Line guru can handle it.
-
I don't think that's an issue. I mean if the guy wants to play some downs on the DL, let him. But he's going to be primarily a tackle. I'm sure Mularkey and McNally could get through to him and find a way to get the weight on.
I think the problem is that the guy is a nutcase.

You'd be surprised how many members i've had to argue with.

Bills | Called About Edinger - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 24 May 2005 19:32:27 -0700
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reports the Buffalo Bills were the other team to call agent Ken Harris about PK Paul Edinger, before he signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
Damn! At least Donahoe tried though.
So we tried to get Edinger, Doug Brien, and even tried to trade up for Nugent. Yet there are still people who stand up for Lindell and think he's safe.
I just don't get it.

Roscoe claims that the Bills were his favorite NFL team as a kid. Do we buy it?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5200992015&rd=1
Now this is interesting. The NFL Rookie Premiere took place just days ago. Topps' NFL cards aren't set to come out for months. But somehow this guy got one of Roscoe's personal cards from the set.
It's really cool looking with Parrish in his shiny, new #11 home Bills jersey.

Broncos | $2.233M Allotted to Spend on Rookie Pool - from www.KFFL.com
Tue, 24 May 2005 11:24:18 -0700
Lee Rasizer, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports the Denver Broncos have been allotted $2.233 million to spend towards their 2005 rookie draft class. The Broncos' rookie pool was the third lowest in the NFL behind the Buffalo Bills ($2.11 million) and the New York Giants ($1.689 million). The Broncos are currently about $2.5 million under the 2005 cap, but that number will change if they sign free agent WR Jerry Rice (Seahawks).
Good for us, bad for Roscoe. Then again, we don't have a 1st to sign.
-
I don't believe in this statement. I hear it a lot though.
Everyone makes it sound like we did Willis this great favor for drafting him and he owes us. Like Willis wasn't going to be picked a few picks later! Oakland was sitting there in the 1st EXPECTING to pick him. There were others who were willing to trade up.
He was going to get picked in the 1st. Maybe not as high as #23; but to say he owes us because we picked him 3-5 picks ahead of everyone is a crock.
-
I hope Buffalo wraps this guy up big time, and soon.....

McGahee Long Term: John Clayton of ESPN reports that the Bills are reluctant to trade Travis Henry until they lock up Willis McGahee to a long term deal. McGahee has three years left on his contract that is heavily incentive laden. If he continues at his pace, he would hit many of them and then would want to be paid like a top back. Clayton confirms reports that the Titans are the main team interested in Henry's services.

Bills | Had an Interest in Howell - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 23 May 2005 20:07:44 -0700
Roy Cummings, of the Tampa Tribune, reports free agent S John Howell (Buccaneers) said the Buffalo Bills were interested in possibly signing him. As noted earlier, Howell has narrowed his choices to signing with the Seattle Seahawks or re-signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Bills | Passing on Shelton? - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 23 May 2005 20:47:52 -0700
ESPN.com's John Clayton reports it appears the Buffalo Bills will pass on signing free agent OT L.J. Shelton (Cardinals). As noted earlier, he four visits scheduled but the Bills are not of them.
Interesting notes. I am really unhappy that we aren't attempting to sign Shelton. I hope that another OT gets cut because i'm not comfortable with Gandy or Teague.
The Howell thing is REALLY interesting. With Lawyer Milloy, Troy Vincent, Coy Wire, and Rashad Baker; why would we want a Safety?
-
-
I actually agree with you.
When we signed Troy Vincent, he was signed to replace Winfield. He was then switched to Safety. McGee is an all-pro returner. But in my mind, he's a journeyman corner. I see him being more of a #3. We drafted Eric King in the 5th round, but I think he's just depth.
Nate Clements
R.W. McQuarters
Terrence McGee
Eric King
Kevin Thomas
I don't see that being that out of the question.
-
I don't know if anyone caught this or not. But on the "Inside the Huddle" segment of Sportscenter at 6 today, Jon Clayton was talking about the Titans RB situation.
He said that with Chris Brown injured, they really want to have Travis Henry. When Brown comes back, he and Travis would share the duties. But this is where it gets interesting......
Clayton said that the Titans seem to think that Donahoe will not trade Travis until they sign McGahee to a long-term deal!
That's a side of this that I never looked at and it makes perfect sense!
-
5/23/05 Kevin Thompson's got himself a nice pic on the front page. I wonder how long it'll be there for?
-
-
Did you just say it's okay that he can't kick field goals?
Did you not see Mularkey consistently pass on Lindell? You know, times when we were looking at anything past 39 yards and we punted? Mularkey didn't even try him ONCE from beyond 50! And do you know why that is? It's because he has no faith in him. Rightfully so!
Why don't you come down to training camp this year and watch the guy kick? Hell, i'll sit there with you. I live in Rochester, just tell me when you're coming. The guy can't kick it straight to save his life. He missed a 25 yarder!!
Yeah you're right bud. Lindell isn't on the hot seat. That's why we have 2 other kickers on the roster and we're looking to add a 3rd. That's why it was reported that Buffalo was one of the teams trying to get Brien and were trying to trade up for Nugent.
What was I thinking?
What WR's will be on the final roster?

I don't think they're going to keep 6 WR's on the roster. They didn't last year and this year there's a lot more OL that they'll need spots for and they'll probably keep Everett on as well.
That being said:
Moulds
Evans
Parrish
Smith
(UDFA)
I think Reed and Aiken were the guys who couldn't cut it last year. Smith didn't do anything wrong. Parrish will replace Reed and an UDFA (Tony Brown or Will Peoples most likely) will come on strong to replace Aiken. I don't think we're going to pick a WR as our top pick and still keep Reed on the roster. Why keep him on as a 4th?
I don't see TD giving up on a draft pick (even if he was a 7th) after only one year. Especially since he produced. Aiken's proven he wasn't worth a 4th and don't get me started on Reed!
