  1. This was taken today at the NFL Rookie Premiere. Sorry guys. But I haven't seen any evidence that says the collars are going away. I think they just made a quick throwaway for the draft without one and everybody got excited. The pics of the replica jerseys are the same style as last years. The replica jerseys don't have the flywire collars. Only the "Limited" and "Elite" jerseys offer those. Replicas just have a half white colored collar.
  2. According to this article, if we have hard knocks here people will see Tavon Austin in a Bills uniform. So i'm all for it http://www.sportskeeda.com/2013/05/09/nfl-the-candidates-for-hbos-hard-knocks/
  3. I liked him coming out of college. I liked him here with us. Mostly because I had little to no expectations of him. I wanted to see him back and I'm sorry to hear that he won't be. But just like David Nelson; even though I wanted to see him re-signed, I don't think it's a huge loss either way. I lol'd
  4. Just because no one claimed him on the waiver wire doesn't mean he'll sign wherever "on the cheap". NFL Network said there's 3 teams that have already made his agent offers and two more are said to be interested (for what it's worth). I hope we're one of these reported five anonymous teams. But we haven't been winning many competitions for talent lately.
  5. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/29/report-trade-for-flynn-appears-imminent/ Matt Flynn might have a new team sooner than expected. According to Ed Werder of ESPN, there are talks about a trade for the Seahawks backup quarterback, and a deal appears “imminent.” The Jaguars apparently took themselves out of the running this week, which would leave the Bills and Raiders among the usual suspects for a deal. The Raiders would have to make a call on Carson Palmer quickly if it was them, while the Bills were sniffing around Kevin Kolb as well. Flynn’s overpaid, sure, but Seahawks starter Russell Wilson being so underpaid (which he’ll remain for two years) keeps them from giving Flynn away. UPDATE 3:14 p.m. ET: Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network says relatively definitively that it’s not the Bills. Which narrows the list considerably. So we're (reportedly) out and the Jags are (reportedly) out. Does that mean Matt Flynn will be a Raider and Geno will fall to us now?
  6. So the whole crew flies out to Washington to have dinner with him and talk to him. They leave without a contract. Then, they set up a time for him to come to Buffalo to meet again. And now they're going their separate ways AGAIN without a contract? What the hell was the point of this second visit with him then? You'd think if they couldn't get on the same page as far as money goes, they'd realize that after their dinner in Washington.
  7. In the 2nd, after we've drafted our QB in the 1st. And as long as we plan on addressing WR in the 3rd, the 4th, and/or free agency - sure. I feel QB needs to be our pick in the 1st or 2nd. Then it's WR or LB - either or.
  8. As long as the player is playing football at a high level, I don't care who and/or what they bone off the field. And even if they aren't playing at a high level, I still don't care. I'll just dislike you for playing like crap. Stop playing like crap, ya jerk.
  9. Yeah, the pic is cool from Stevie. And his wording certainly would imply that he's a Bill. But I don't see anything even remotely "confirming" a signing by anyone (even BillsMafia). Cool pic - but change the title. WAY misleading.
  10. My gut feeling is that they have been trying to sign people - we've just been keeping all visits and dealings confidential. I think last year, they backed themselves into a corner in which they had no choice but to sign Mario at all costs because of the public fever of hearing he was in town. I think they decided to keep things on the DL this year after that. Hell, no one knew that Manny Lawson was even in town before we were all told he signed. And everything's been unusually tight lipped ever since Brandon took over. Marrone especially seems to not want to give the press ANYTHING. I just think with a new head coach, a new President/kind of Owner guy, no QB in place, and a track record of sucking - we just can't get anyone to sign for what we want to spend. I also think the way that Mario Williams was lambasted for having come here and treated like a bust for having not singlehandedly turning the team around may have scared FA's off.
  11. Crap. I really liked him and thought he would have been a great Levitre replacement considering how much we used him in a reserve role without giving up too much effectiveness on the Line. Double crap.
  12. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/12/amendola-will-take-visits-to-for-now-undisclosed-teams/ WR Danny Amendola will visit "undisclosed teams" Asking a free agent to show discretion and keep everything behind closed doors? Sounds like Brandon's M.O.
  13. http://buckeyextra.d...y----smith.html I heard in passing on NFL Network that Troy Smith looked impressive at the OSU Pro Day. They even said they believe a team will sign him. With Matt Moore re-signing with Miami, the FA crop is thinner than ever. He was never a complete bust in the NFL - he was just sort of lost in the shuffle of Joe Flacco, Alex Smith, and Colin Kaepernick's rise. Would he be worth a shot with T-Jack and whomever we draft (assuming Fitz is gone)?
  14. Chris Kelsay was never as bad as this board would have made him seem. At times, he played better than most of our players on D. That being said, he certainly didn't warrant the contract he received. But he can't be blamed for signing it. I hope his neck is alright and that he has a comfortable retirement. Thanks for saving us some cash in the process, Chris. God speed. But, man - do we have some roster spots to fill after this offseason! This is going to be a big year for Undrafted Free Agents making the roster.
  15. The Bills have an article about him from the AP as the top story on their website right now FWIW http://www.buffalobi...e9-3842ecfea742
  16. I was pretty sold on Cordarrelle Patterson today, to be honest. He really looked like a freak amongst the others when it came to a combination of size, speed, and natural ability. Starting to feel like, if he's there, he'd be the best pick to match value and need at 8.
  17. I fear they'll let him walk so that Doug Marrone can draft Justin Pugh to replace him. He's arguably Syracuse's best player in this draft and not re-signing Levitre would give him an excuse to take him.
  18. Well since we're completely ignoring all the rules anyways - why even bother sending a card up? Why waste a pick? Just sign him him to an undrafted free agent contract.
  19. While good in theory - I really don't see anyone trying to move up in this draft. The difference in talent level between 8 and 16 isn't very much. There's still a lot of time for teams to fall in love with guys. But I see this draft being harder to trade down than most of them. And it's not an easy venture to begin with.
  20. Yeah, that was my feeling too! Why would you put exactly what you do, muscle movement by muscle movement, for everyone to see? You just gave away the secret of your game; down to your thought process while you do it.
  21. If Russ wants it - he'll probably get it. They had a real hard time getting someone to do the show last season and settled on the Dolphins. I'd say no. But I keep hearing Russ talking about "relevancy" in the back of my mind....
  22. I disagree. What if that guy you took with your first pick doesn't work out? Why not have a backup plan? I think Washington was really on to something taking Cousins. The worst that happens? You have a third stringer that's not that great. Best that happens? You have a quality starter and a quality backup. Or you end up with two solid starting QB's and trade one away for a king's ransom. As it stands, if (or rather when) we let Fitz go; we have zero QB's under contract on the roster (unless you count Brad Smith). We're most likely going to end up with three brand new QB's either way. At least two are going to come from free agency or the draft.
  23. I don't know. But remember when they didn't have a team? We had Browns fan appreciation days! And this is how they do us......
