  1. I hope he's fully healed by then. As much as I want Shady in the backfield for the opener - hamstrings are REALLY naggy. I'd rather him sit out an extra week if it's still a little sore than push him for the opener only to possibly re-aggravate it and have it be an issue all season long.
  2. I'd be freaking out if we hadn't drafted Ronald Darby and he wasn't getting high grades in practice by most in the media. Now i'm just a little bummed that we aren't as deep in the Secondary as I originally thought. Or at least just for a little while.
  3. Looking at the depth chart - i'd think they'd be more interested in acquiring a Tackle than a Guard at this point.
  4. He's great. But they seem to be all in on Miller and Incognito as our starting Guards. If this had happened pre-draft, i'm sure they'd have been all over it. But after picking Miller, I don't see them spending that kind of money for Mathis.
  5. We need depth at Inside Linebacker. With Mario, Hughes, Lawson, and Wynn - I don't know why they felt they needed more pass rush/3-4 OLB depth.
  6. I've been keeping an eye out for YEARS for an original version of the Machine Gun Kelly poster. I've yet to see one. I know there was a guy on this very board who would constantly post asking if anyone had one.
  7. I really hope that he and Rex made a connection over dinner. Because now that his name is getting more and more clear - it's becoming obvious he'll be able to go to any team in the NFL.
  8. If Spikes signs with NE before 5/12 - does that cancel out our signing of Carrington in the Compensatory Pick equation?
  9. Shady - Mario - Dareus - Kyle - Hughes I'm calling FIVE!
  10. I think Shady's right. But it's not about race. It's about Chip not wanting to deal with Superstars he himself didn't mold. He wants to create and take credit for his own stars.
  11. I can't wait to watch people lose their friggin' MINDS around here when he stuffs McCoy for a loss next year...
  12. I agree. I was a big fan of Joe Buscaglia (although that feeling seemed to be the minority) and Sal is a very different personality in comparison.
  13. All true statements. But the problem is that he came here with a reputation of having a problem with fumbles and it was a HUGE, game costing fumble. It'd be like someone hiring you knowing that you've had a penchant for being late. But they give you a chance because you have a lot of upside. Then you show up late one day and it costs the company a big sale. It may be the first time it happened there, but combined with the rep - you're screwed.
  14. Both he and Russell Wilson (RGIII and Tannehill too) have 5th year options. If they don't extend this year, the options will be used so they're at least under contract through next year.
  15. The "inside info" was that the OP was told by a family member that Spikes was eating at a Buffalo restaurant over the weekend. Which if true still doesn't mean much. Especially since Bills brass are in Arizona.
  16. Yeah - it was pretty obvious to me watching the NFL Network visit that Spikes wasn't going to be coming back. But everyone fell in love with him so much last year, no one wants to admit it.
  17. Could you post them (even if unreliable) - I searched 'brandon spikes' and couldn't find anything like that.
  18. Just because he's spotted in town doesn't mean anything. He could be moving stuff out of his place and/or showing Percy around town. We currently have just over 5 million in cap space. I don't think they're spending any of that on a guy they view as a two down linebacker. I love the guy but the writing's been on the wall for a while now.
  19. As if the signing process for Harvin and Clay weren't dragged out enough - now we have to play the "soon" game with the pressers too? Unless they're doing it late in the afternoon like they did with Shady, I don't think we'll get either today. Seeing as how it's after 11 and there still isn't a press announcement.
  20. Straight from the mouth of Whaley... months ago. Before we started throwing money around like mad men. Before Spikes spoke of a return being less likely than those words. I've yet to hear Whaley say "no - he won't be coming back" about anyone. He sounded just as optimistic (if not more) when talking about C.J. Spiller thay day. What he said about Spikes months ago is about as close to "he's probably not coming back" as he gets. I'd even say that his "offer" to Spikes sounded more like "hey, we tried" lip service than anything else. Just let it go. Anyone who watched Spikes yesterday on either show for two seconds could see he has moved on. If he were to come back to us - i'd be estatic. But hoping/expecting it is just foolish at this point. Absolutely! This is a HUGE reason why I doubt he'll be back.
  21. @JoeBuscaglia: Saw @JasonLaCanfora's tweet about Harvin 3 year deal, with last two years voiding into a 1-year, $6 million contract. Reason being... @JoeBuscaglia: ...If figures he posted are accurate, it would save the #Bills $2mill on the cap in 2015 through signing bonus proration.... @JoeBuscaglia: ...So rather than getting hit with a $6mill cap hit for 2015, if the numbers are right, it would be a $4mill cap hit instead. #Bills
  22. @JasonLaCanfora: As a practical matter, Percy Harvin signed a 3yr/$24M deal w/BUF; voids to 1yr/$6M. Gets $3M to sign, $2.9M base salary, $100K workout bonus
