  1. Aw man - god forbid we go 3-13 instead of 7-9 or 8-8. We might actually have a shot at a legitimate QB. I don't understand why this team is so afraid of bottoming out. Mediocrity is worse than a rebuild, in my opinion. It's like they think not being 32nd in the league is some sort of victory. By bottoming out - you have a chance to move forward. Tyrod staying will keep us in the middle. Where we've been for well over a decade.
  2. And that excuses him consistently not seeing the WR's and TE's that were on the field getting open? Watch an All-22 from last year. Any. The Defense certainly played a part. I don't think you'll hear anyone argue against that. But Monday Night in Seattle - the Defense put Taylor in position to win the game. If it's all on the Defense, why did they lose that game? And it's funny that you took Shady's name right out of my mouth. Maybe because you expected it and you expected it because it's true. Fact is - when you have the #1 Rushing attack in the league, having the WORST passing attack is all the more damning. When you can run, it's much easier to pass. And Taylor made it look very hard. *head against wall* How do the kids put it these days? "I literally can't even right now"..... Being better than straight up trash doesn't make someone good. Tyrod Taylor is a step up from what they've had at times, yes. But it's still not good enough. Who will replace him? I don't know for sure. But I can tell you one thing - there is worlds more available to the Bills in FA and the Draft then there was two years ago when we were in a similar situation. And that year they found someone no one was talking about in Tyrod Taylor. I have faith they can find better in FA and/or the Draft this year. And if Tyrod Taylor flames out on another team or we go through another year of mediocrity because we kept him - i'll remember people like you and hope not to hear sorry excuses like "so and so was hurt" and "he can't pass but he helps the run game".
  3. People look at Taylor's stats without comparing them to the rest of the league. They see little to no INT's but don't see it's because he hardly ever throws the ball unless someone is wide open and sitting in their route. They see his completion percentage but don't see that much more than half of those completions are dumpoffs that RB's got all the yards on. They see two Pro Bowls but they don't pay attention to how many QB's had to pass before they came to Taylor. They see him evading sacks in an elite fashion. But they neglect to mention evading sacks doesn't put points on the board. And that part of the reason he's so good at evading sacks is because he gives up on plays and starts scrambling early most of the time. The national media sees Buffalo Bills and thinks we should be happy if we have a QB who can get us to 8-8. If Tyrod Taylor was QB of the Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants - the media would be talking completely differently. I'm baffled that so many of you are so adamant that the QB who led his offense to DEAD LAST in the league in passing needs to come back and we're screwed if he doesn't. Especially when you consider there was much less available to us in FA and in the Draft when they came up with an unknown QB named Tyrod Taylor.
  4. Wonder if we're one of them. And if Miami would be willing to trade him to us. And what it means if they are.
  5. Starting to wonder if he came back because the good people of Cleveland quietly ran him out of town.
  6. Doing a Watkins style trade up for a Defensive Tackle? Yeah, it's out of the question.
  7. Not being a fan of Rodak doesn't change the statistics. Or the simple eye test. How anyone can watch Taylor as a passer and want him back is completely beyond me.
  8. "Transient"? Terrell Owens was a transient. Shady's going to be in his 3rd season of being our team's best offensive weapon. Unless we trade him for a ransom or he's injured severely - he'll be back the following year as well. I just watched him on NFL Network being an awesome ambassador for the team. If you see him as a "transient", you just don't like the guy.
  9. The national media has been wrong on pretty much everything regarding the Bills as of late. I don't think Dennison's one year in Baltimore with Tyrod means anything. They could have easily gone with Rico based on a million other reasons that don't involve Tyrod Taylor.
  10. I'm hoping that Ken Whisenhunt decides he'd rather run our Offense completely than share it with Lynn. Or that Andy Reid lets us have of his two OC's.
  11. I knew we didn't have a shot at McCoy. But hearing Musgrave signing on to be a QB coach without even interviewing anywhere else - wow. It really is Denver and everywhere else when it comes to the available coaching gigs.
  12. How is it possible that this guy was brought in by Doug Marrone, retained by Rex Ryan, and retained again by Sean McDermott? Can't be all that common to stay with a team through 3 Head Coaches.
  13. Don't like that. If he's in the building and meeting the new coach - that says he isn't completely out the door.
  14. But, but, but... what about Bill Musgrave? Did anyone check with him? Didn't anyone show him all the statistics that said we were better than Denver on Offense last season? Like I said from the beginning - the second Denver was ready to start filling their staff and showed interest - it was over. It isn't BBFS to admit it. It's just common sense. Of the available jobs, it was Denver and then everyone else.
  15. Anthony Lynn is NOT the Rams OC. According to RapSheet - it's looking more and more like Lynn will become the Head Coach of the LA Chargers.
  16. Um..... no? This just now @RapSheet: #Chargers went into todays meeting with #Bills interim Anthony Lynn viewing him as their top target. Hes still with them...
  17. Anthony Lynn also reportedly had a 2nd interview with the Chargers tomorrow. Musgrave could already be cancelled (or it was a false report) for all we know. Doesn't mean a thing - they could easily announce a McCoy hiring without interviewing Musgrave.
  18. @AndrewSiciliano: Vance Joseph tells me @nflnetwork he hopes Mike McCoy doesn't leave the building. He'd like to see McCoy as the Broncos OC. I was watching. Worse than that, Joseph said "Mike wants to be here".
  19. Haven't you heard? McCoy's going to choose Buffalo over Denver because we were better on offense last year in some statistics. Or so I was told on this board yesterday...
  20. If Denver weren't interested, he'd be our OC - i'd bet. Here's hoping Musgrave blows them away and they pick him instead.
  21. I'm eternally grateful to Terry for saving the franchise. But it doesn't change the fact that he isn't a particularly good sound bite.
