  1. With a two year deal - they can backload the second year (which he may or may not even see) and use that number to increase the signing bonus up front. All this talk of no cap room was making me laugh. How many times do teams have to prove to you that not having a lot of cap room doesn't matter?
  2. @RapSheet: The #Ravens have felt good about landing Jeremy Maclin since Friday. He just wanted time. His new wife being from the area helps, too. Well crap - his wife is from the Baltimore area? How is this just coming out now? If i'd have known that, I wouldn't have remotely gotten my hopes up.
  3. Only way we're getting Decker is if he gets cut. No way a.) the Jets trade with us and/or b.) this administration would give up a draft pick and spend cap space for him.
  4. There's two big contributing factors that have made this feat possible: 1.) When the Mario thread was happening - there was an official Buffalo Bills message board on their site. Now everyone is simply on this board. 2.) There is significantly less to focus on at this time of the year vs. when Free Agency first opened up in 2012.
  5. I predict that we start to see fake insiders claiming we have him signed again. Everyone will start to get excited... and then he'll sign with the Ravens.
  6. He's not a Hall of Famer. But at the same time - I feel some posters are really downplaying the type of player he is.
  7. They cut Dennis Pitta yesterday. I have to imagine that clears up some cap space.
  8. I worry McCoy overly complicated things. By being so public with everything and getting fans hopes up - Tom Condon probably felt he had the upper hand and as such, came in high. Furthermore, I could see a scenario where Brandon Beane felt he needed to show Shady that he's not in charge after making the posts he made on IG. I feel as though it's all a moot point now. The release of Dennis Pitta today was done to clear cap space. And I expect Jeremy Maclin to be a Raven by this time tomorrow.
  9. He's 36 years old. He was shot when he left. Seattle signed him to make Marshawn happy during a turbulent time. He further proved he had nothing left in the tank there and they let his 1 year contract end without renewing. Let it go people. Only way he's signing here is a 1 day deal to retire.
  10. People still want to stand up for BillsFanatics report that he was signing with us?
  11. Everyone's talking about Baltimore's cap room. But every year we see team's with little to no cap room sign people based on bonuses or structuring deals with less money up front. The fact that Baltimore's tight against the cap doesn't mean much to me.
  12. I'm still heated with BillsFanatics right now and I don't care who sticks up for them.
  13. Sal just said on WGR that the BillsFanatics report (which Howard reported as a "message board rumor") is false. That no agreement is in place prior to today's visit.
  14. You're right. The exact word 'done' was never used. But proclaiming "Welcome Home, J-Mac" and saying he's signing a 1 year deal with us is the same exact thing. Saying that last nights report was meant to say anything but Jeremy Maclin is a Bill is REALLY mincing words. Look, I hope i'm wrong and BF is right. But going to battle for a BF report vs. an Adam Schefter report is just plain homerism.
  15. The timeline is spelled out. BF reports done deal early last night. Some 8-9 hours later, Adam Schefter tweets that plans are being made (present tense) for a Baltimore visit. What's more likely? a.) A homer Bills fan page gets the scoop that Jeremy Maclin has agreed to terms and is flying in to sign here. However, even though he has agreed, Adam Schefter can't get that information - but Bills Fanatics can. Furthermore - he's setting up a Baltimore visit even though he's agreed. or b.) A homer fan page sees a whole lot of smoke, here's about the visit, and jumps the gun proclaiming a done deal off of questionable information and excitement.
  16. You're all missing the point completely. If a deal was done as they reported it was DONE - he'd be just flying in to sign it. Schefter would be reporting that terms were agreed upon. If he's leveraging still, the deal is not done. This report was WAY jumping the gun.
  17. Then why would Adam Schefter report that "plans (are) being made to visit Baltimore" long after the BF report? Adam Schefter less reliable than Bills Fanatics? C'mon people! I want Maclin too but that's ridiculous.
  18. ... what? I think you're really reaching to back up last night's "report". Bills Fanatics reported the deal was done and he was flying in to sign it. Even reporting on incentives. So you're saying that most Free Agents line up and announce other visits after agreeing to terms with a team? That's not been what i've seen in my experience.
  19. Even if that's correct - BF's report is still wrong because they wouldn't be lining up visits for leverage if it were a done deal, as reported last night.
  20. Bills Fanatics page has to be praying the Baltimore visit doesn't happen. Any legitimacy they had would go out the window in my eyes after reporting we had him signed last night.
  21. I don't know that I would *expect* Cardale to be the odd man out. It's certainly possible. It's also very possible that they really like what they see out of Peterman and/or Jones and Yates is cut after Training Camp. He never said he was guaranteed a roster spot. Just that he'd come in and compete. I hope that our final QB's are Tyrod Taylor, Nathan Peterman, and Cardale Jones. Woodrum will be cut by the end of the week.
  22. Yeah, Terry didn't sound much better than he ever has. But there was one journalist in particular who was just on the attack with EVERY question. It was kind of uncomfortable. Sounded like a young Jerry Sullivan. It wasn't Buscaglia or Fairburn - anyone know who that was?
  23. There's a better way of asking this question. Like "is there any highlight videos that don't use rap music?" The answer to that question is; not many.
  24. I'd think with the amount of Roster spots we have to fill, there's a good opportunity we land some good ones. Agents will recognize this is a good spot for a UDFA to make a squad. I remember we talked to Bryan Cox Jr. at the Combine. Hopefully he comes here.
