Bull Dog WGR Rant from Last Night
BillsFanForever19 replied to Gobills14094's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm an adult who collects autographs. If you don't understand the hobby, that's fine. There's a lot of hobbies I don't understand too. But to each their own. That said, as an adult collector, you need to know what your place is. And that is paying for scheduled meet and greet appearances for a set fee or ordering from places like TSE Buffalo for mail in signings. Training Camp autographs are for the kids. Everyone should know that. And even if you're someone who for whatever reason didn't know that, common decency would tell you as a grown adult you shouldn't be getting in the way of Children. And also the players make it very obvious with their actions at these functions what it's all about. This guy is embarrassing. -
OT: Belichick says that Mac's improvement is "dramatic"

Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade
BillsFanForever19 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. If there were interest and money that could be defined as "significant" - he'd be signed by now. I find it very hard to believe. Sounds like a media member helping out an agent to me. -
Bobby Wagner is 32 years old. Tremaine Edmunds is 24 years old. C'mon man, you have to be aware of how big of a factor age and tire tread is when it comes to signing a Free Agent. If that's the case, Jordan Poyer should get every penny (and probably more) that Minkah Fitzpatrick got. And I think agreeing that the position as a whole league wide is in rough shape thanks to today's offenses/QBs and still calling him a "middle of the pack" MLB is really downplaying his value. If you think a 24 year old, two time Pro Bowl MLB who has missed a total of 3 games in 4 seasons while being a playcalling Captain of the #1 Defense in the NFL is only worth "middle of the pack" money on the open market - I think you're WAY off base.
-
You all hate on Edmunds. But the fact is, MLB play league wide hasn't been great. It's why you all think he's just the worst while he made multiple Pro Bowls. Unless you have a Lavonte David, you'd be hard pressed to have anyone in the Middle that doesn't make you rip your hair out from time to time. Today's offenses and QB's are constantly putting MLB's in unenviable positions. And we have a Defense that more often than not utilizes 2 LB's instead of most teams 3 and some teams 4. The margin for error is massive. And I think the haters are reading too much into the fact that his extension hasn't come yet as them being on the fence. I'd bet it's just as simple as they have his extension in mind for next year's books and were focusing elsewhere this season. In fact, it wouldn't shock me one bit if while many of you are writing him off, they plan on Franchise Tagging him if they can't get a deal done before Free Agency next year.

Where in the world is Joe Buscaglia
BillsFanForever19 replied to Bagwell358's topic in The Stadium Wall
He covered Camp on Twitter yesterday. He probably just took the month off with nothing going on. -
Watching him moving around and laughing with guys (which is extremely painful if you've ever had cracked ribs), I can't imagine he's in that rough of a shape that they're worried. But the fact remains if he misses even a couple weeks, that's most of Training Camp. I don't think it's a move that should make Thad or anyone think "uh oh, Rodger must be in rough shape" as much as it is we had an extra roster spot and we're down a Guard in Training Camp right now.

Bledsoe threw for 4,359 yards in 2002. He wasn't always great, especially down the stretch. But as a passer, Tyrod never came close to that. Bledsoe to Moulds was a scary connection in 2002. Arm talent, Taylor wasn't close to Bledsoe. Tyrod didn't win those games so much as he managed those games. Taylor plays not to lose. Cleveland started him and saw the same thing. He's an ideal keep the boat steady backup QB.
-
Yes, there was some hyperbole there. But if you're saying you were watching him play, especially when we were behind, and didn't find yourself saying "just throw the f'n ball!" - I don't believe you. I'll take interceptions if you're trying to make something happen when you have to. Too often with Tyrod it felt like ball security and his low interception rate was more paramount than trying to win the game when it was on the line. There was zero attempt to try and force the issue when we needed it. With Josh, you never feel out of it. With Tyrod, you knew if we fell down by more than a TD - it was over. That's a big part of why I put Fitz and Bledsoe above him. They'd throw picks. But there was urgency in their game and those things often came with them trying to win a game. Tyrod was just way too safe and cautious. He was the QB that didn't lose you the game if the Defense and the Running game carried it. He was a game manager.
-
Drew Bledsoe, Doug Flutie, Ryan Fitzpatrick Lot of love for Tyrod. He's probably 4th on the list for me, but that's still not saying much. His style of play was so frustrating to watch. He was always being praised by commentators for never turning the ball over.... because he wouldn't throw the ball unless the WR was wide open, sitting in their route, and jumping up and down! Years of Tyrod Taylor prepared me wonderfully for the occasional bad pick arising from Josh's gunslinging.

Leonard Fournette Checking In At 260lbs?

I do find it odd that we've been sitting at 89 roster spots instead of the full 90 for a while now. I think Joe makes a lot of sense. Kaiir could learn a lot from him on the field during Training Camp. I don't know that he's someone I would line up to start on the outside anymore, but he wouldn't have to do that here. Compete and/or split time with Dane Jackson until Tre is ready and then come off the bench therafter, keeping him fresh.

#2 Tyler Bass #3 Matt Hauck #5 Marquez Stevenson #6 Isaiah McKenzie #7 Taron Johnson #8 OJ Howard #9 Andre Smith 7 of the 9 single digit numbers are currently taken. I suppose they could have given him #1 or #4, but I'm guessing they're just going to give him #3, #5, or #9 after Training Camp so long as he wins the job. Or maybe he just prefers #19. Odd numbers on players are all the rage these days. I don't believe he requested the number from McKenzie. I get the feeling from McKenzie's social media posts about it that he chose #6. I don't envision a 6th Round Rookie Punter approaching a vet of McKenzie's stature on the team and asking for their number. That would take some serious balls.

It's mainly a joke, as evidenced by referring to Josh Allen's manhood, Garner Minshew's mustache, and Justin Herbert's hair. They're poking fun of the Jets HC referring to Zach Wilson as a "Dawg" on multiple occasions.

OBJ responds to rumor he signed with the Bills
BillsFanForever19 replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is no "rumor" he signed with the Bills. It's him laughing at a fake Twitter sh-tposting. There's no fire because there is no smoke. It's from @BleatcherReport, not @BleacherReport. I'd be totally for it. But this is nothing. -
Camp tix now available to STH
BillsFanForever19 replied to Bills fan since 87's topic in The Stadium Wall
This whole thing is so frustrating. They made it appear that it would be handled through the app. Instead, they went through Ticketmaster that has more scalper bots on it than humans 24/7. They should have released some tickets one day and others at a later date so people knew what they were up against. Guarantee you there were bots that had the Ticketmaster URL and were sitting on the page in queue hours before we got through on the app. -

I bet almost anything a good percentage of this is Ticketmaster Bot scalpers. Really dumb move releasing free tickets through Ticketmaster. -
I mean he doesn't have to get involved. Just start an account where you only follow Rappaport and Schefter for news. Twitter is what you yourself make it.
-
If you want up to the minute news, Adam Schefter and Ian Rappaport on Twitter is absolutely your best route. ProFootballTalk will make an article as soon as possible. But the second any news breaks in the NFL, it's posted immediately on their Twitter accounts. Not sure why you'd want other options than the best ones.

Epenesa, Ford & Moss -Are they outta here?
BillsFanForever19 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they keep 10? Last year we went into the year with 11. There's no way they go from having 6 DE's last year down to 4 this year. We'll keep no less than 5. I'd say even in the unlikely event we only kept 9, it's way more likely we'd keep 5 DE's and 4 DT's than the other way around when you look at the talent depth at both positions. You're talking keeping Brandin Bryant or Eli Ankou over a guy we took in the 2nd Round just over 2 years ago. And the idea that Moss is safe and Epenesa is questionable is just as crazy to me. Moss was a healthy scratch often last season. And this year they drafted James Cook and signed Duke Johnson with only Matt Breida exiting the team (2 in, 1 out). Wherein at the DE position, we brought in Von Miller and Shaq Lawson with Jerry Hughes, Mario Addison, and Efe Obada exiting the team (2 in, 3 out). Singletary and Cook are locks. McDermott has only kept 3 true RB's on the team every year since he's been here with 1 Special Teams "RB". And he only dresses 2 true ball carriers. So Moss will have to beat Duke Johnson in Camp to stay. Even if he does, he'll be in that Matt Breida/T.J. Yeldon role of "Break Glass in Case of Emergency" RB3 who isn't active on Game Days. -
Epenesa, Ford & Moss -Are they outta here?
BillsFanForever19 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Honestly, it's completely beside the point. You don't cut a 2nd Round Pick after 2 seasons unless the guy is just plain not getting the playbook or has serious character issues. You have to give them at least 3 years. Look at Cody Ford. As bad as he's looked, he got 3 years and he may very well get 4. You don't wash your hands of premium investments on inexpensive rookie deals without giving them every chance to succeed and justify your investment. Epenesa hasn't impressed. But he hasn't been so awful that you can completely close the book on the idea that he could still take steps forward this early in his career. Beyond that, just from a roster standpoint, we only have 5 Edge Rushers between Von Miller, Greg Rousseau, AJ Epenesa, Boogie Basham, and Shaq Lawson (unless you have high hopes for career PS Player Mike Love or UDFA's Kingsley Jonathan and Daniel Joseph). Last season, we kept 6 on the active roster. If they had no faith in Epenesa's potential for growth or entertained the idea they'd move on him from that quickly, they'd have Drafted another DE or added another in Free Agency. -

Although the regime focuses on high character, it's no guarantee that these things can't happen to the Bills. Fingers crossed. There has been 4 arrests since McDermott has been coach: Adolphus Washington (Previous Regime) - 7/9/17 Weapons Charge Zay Jones - 3/21/18 Felony Vandalism Tyrel Dodson - 5/25/19 Domestic Violence Ed Oliver - 5/16/20 DWI and Weapons Charge (Later Cleared) -
Final Roster Predictions WRs
BillsFanForever19 replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you think that Marquez Stevenson is not only better than Jamison Crowder, but worth eating 2.8 of Crowder's 3 million on top of it, you need a SERIOUS reality check. They didn't even use the guy as a WR last season when he was already dressing for the team. They knew he was on the roster and signed Jamison Crowder to 3 million. And then went out and drafted Khalil Shakir and signed Tavon Austin. What does that say to their faith in him? He's reportedly continued to show issues holding on to the ball in OTA's. Like, are you related to Marquez Stevenson or something? Teams do not sign players to fully guaranteed deals and then cut them before the regular season unless there's an injury, some sort of personal issue, or he's just not grasping the playbook. Comparing Jamison Crowder's body of work to Corey Coleman and the flier we took on him in the middle of training camp is a laughable comparison.
