  1. This isn't anything new. The NBA have been doing it with their games. The WWE has a "Thunderdome" version of it where each screen is positioned in a seat creating rows in the arena. Better than nothing.
  2. I'm all for bringing in a former 1st Round pick to compete for the 5th or 6th Linebacker spot.
  3. If they want to cut Murphy and use a fraction of what's saved on Ansah - i'd be fine with that. Get a similar quality player and save some cash to go towards Milano and White.
  4. I can be talked into keeping both Hauschka and Bass given that there's no preseason and it's a lot to just throw someone who's never kicked in the NFL straight into regular games. That and if we cut him, someone would just pick him up. He wouldn't make it to our Practice Squad. As for 2 Punters, why? If something happens to Edwards or Bojorquez - i'm fairly positive we could sign the other back or find someone of comparable skill without issue.
  5. We'd be remiss to not acknowledge the immeasurable contributions of Barstool's Big Cat and PFT Commenter when it comes to Josh Allen being on this team and being the man he is today.
  6. Barstool and Portnoy are kind of a guilty pleasure of mine. I do believe he is serious. He almost always puts his money where his mouth is. If for no other reason than he doesn't want to be called out for not following through. I have no doubt Barstool has the money to do it and I have no doubt it'd be something he'd want for his company. He is a Patriots fan. But as you can see above, he loves Bills Mafia and the Buffalo Barstool community (which is large). He'll make calls and pursue it... until the league shuts it down. He won the auction to watch MNF with Goodell and they wouldn't even let him do that. So I can't imagine they'd be cool with a Barstool NFL stadium. Though in the small chance that the league and the state government all okay'ed it - I would not be shocked to see Kim Pegula and Barstool CEO Erika Nardini really hitting it off.
  7. I think in having a young, on the rise, unquestioned leader around the building at QB that is *constantly* questioned by the outside world - signing someone like Jameis Winston, Andy Dalton, or Marcus Mariota would have sent the wrong message to everyone and could have messed with the chemistry of the QB room. Given our situation and wanting Josh to be comfortable as the guy around here, I think we made the best move. Which was keeping Josh with the guy he's been with for the past two seasons in Matt Barkley and stealing a top end QB prospect in the 5th in Jake Fromm. This is Josh's team. We live and die on his success this year. Any team (save for a couple) is screwed if their QB1 goes down. And in Fromm, you don't know. He could very well be a solid backup out the gate.
  8. At the moment - those are pretty much the 3 options. nflshop.com is the official NFL store and has the largest selection. If they're not selling them there, they're not selling them anywhere.
  9. The other reason I went with Butler is his familiarity playing with Addison. If you watch a lot of Addison's sack highlights, you'll see Butler setting him up. I think that's a big reason Butler was signed. McBeane rightly preaches Continuity as a key to success.
  10. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say DL1 is Hughes, Oliver, Butler, Addison. DL 2 would be Murphy, Phillips, Jefferson/Oliver, Epenesa/Jefferson. I think the DL is solid. I think Edmunds, Milano, and Klein is solid. But I have concerns about the depth underneath them.
  11. Surprised they let King go over Nick Easley or even Duke himself. With all of our WR's returning from last season and the additions of Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis, and Isaiah Hodgins - i'd be shocked if Duke or especially Easley made the squad. They must feel pretty comfortable rolling with 5 CB's and Dane Jackson being the 5th.
  12. I had myself pretty much convinced he was opting out. Had myself believing we could still compete with Norman, Wallace, Johnson, and Logan Ryan. But with Tre now staying?
  13. I'm thinking 4 will hit and then we'll have to wait until the media gets the list or lackthereof of players that were designated to COVID or Opting out. Beat reporters have been tweeting those out daily within a couple hours after the deadline.
  14. Not any official announcement from the team, no. But once the Bills daily Opt Out and COVID designations hit the wire - Tre's name being on the list or not being on the list will be news everywhere and fairly quickly.
  15. We'll know fairly quickly after 4 PM. The media gets the official COVID Placements and Opt Out designations daily not soon after league days end. Bills reporters have been tweeting daily whether or not anyone has been added to either list almost as soon as it's filed.
  16. They signed King to replace E.J. Gaines spot when he opted out. King is primarily a Special Teams player and had nothing to do with White. If White opts out, they'll have to bring in someone with experience.
  17. Talib is 34 years old, coming off an injury, and has played a total of 13 games in the past two seasons. Carr is also 34 years old. Kirkpatrick is coming off hyper extending his knee just last November. Let's be honest, if White opts out, there's no one who will be able to step into that true CB1 role. All we can do is put the best combination of flexible CB's as we can out there and trust in our DB mastermind of a coach to make it work. Hell, maybe sign Ryan AND Carr. But I can't wrap my head around the idea that signing Ryan would be a bad move for a lacking Corner situation.
  18. Who do you suggest then? He isn't strictly a nickle corner. He plays all over the field - including outside. Norman also has flexibility. And I have no doubt McDermott would make it work as a system. And looking at what's available, i'd take Ryan as a strictly outside corner over any strictly outside CB that's out there.
  19. I'd imagine they'd keep him on the opt-out COVID list for the year and then cut him in the Offseason. Maybe they'll bring him into camp. But he certainly won't be given the kind of opportunity he had right now.
  20. While i'm sure he had his reasons, he didn't play a down of football last season. Opting out this season would mean that he'll be 2 1/2 years removed from playing when he tries to comeback. Maybe he'll get invited to a camp next year. But I can't see teams being very interested in an almost 30 year old journeyman Corner who hasn't played a down in almost 3 years.
  21. This seems more about Special Teams to me than anything else.
  22. Really sucks that Larry Warford opted out. Would have been a real solid replacement.
